TM is not bashng on Rishi and not praising Indira
I would like to attract your attention toward following statement of TM

'Tauji comparing Indira to a cow and indirectly saying a woman internally loves being manhandled and abused was way too much to digest and on top of this Indira kinda of agreeing.'

Tau made the statement that women like to lose their independence. and you(Indira ) r also one of them and Indira greed to it. this is disgustiong.
I was expecting Rau to stop Indira but not this way. he might gave her reminder of her duty towards rishi and her in laws to stop her . but he praised indepence of married women. and compare them with caws in BHANDHAN 😡

i liked the Inshi scenes in the episode . they were different . and the like the way Indira ran to help tau and enjoyed catching goat.😃
but cannot enjoy the fullflesh epi because of tau's injustiseful statement and Indira agreeing it.

[ . indira will show her hitlergiri.

@bold: what else she knows other than this which is disgusting & maha boring..btw acc to indira hitlergiri matlab tappads dena aur chappal se marna which i dont think is possible now in JN😉

you r rt ranju. I too do not like thapaad and chappals.
I expect hitlergiri like following
1. opposing gender test of Garbh
2. opposing insult of nanda just for she is not having kid
3. making her husband to love her (Nanda)
4. helping and taking care of Ammu in her illness
and so on .😃

I have never understood this contradiction in all saas bahu dramas...the one relegating the bahus to particular gender roles are women who seem to hold the position of the most powerful in the family- a role that in a misogynistic society would be typically reserved for men. How strange!

And I don't think society is full of prejudies against women only! It is against Men too! Both Men and Women are equally sufferring in the society! 😊there is a lot of difference in suffering of men and women. Men suffer due to destiny, their mistake, enemies, frictions and etc. and women suffers just because they r women that all.

About Ila Bedi : Very cheap personality I say !!🤢

I am just popping in to share my thoughts on this. I felt the need to comment after seeing some misinformed posts that made me roll my eyes.

While I do agree with most of what is being said here about women being the main and ultimate victims of suffering, violence and social injustice in most, if not all, societies of the world, one needs to be careful with generalizations or simplifications of the form "both men and women are equally suffering in the society" or "woman are always dominated by men". Of course, this applies to everyone on both sides. Not every man is bad and not every woman is good. It is all about the mindset and what social, cultural, economic and educational conditions you are exposed to earlier in life. However, being a male myself, these kind of statistics and regressive views on women and their role in society do not strike my brain like a tsunami, to say the least. There is little doubt that women are generally more subject to injustice and ill-treatment than men and have to suffer most. This has been the case since ages. While both men and women can be victims of violence, we hear about rapes, killings and other forms of heinous assaults on women, at the hands of men, all the time. Many more women than men face not only violence, but also the serious problems of mental abuse, dowry, feticide, infanticide, and gender discrimination in the form of distribution of education, power and work, etc. This site pretty much sums up what problems are faced by women in today's modern society of India. For those who are interested, please have a look.

Please note that I am talking about the real life situation, not how social issues are depicted and dealt with in a fictional show like HD, which is meant mainly to entertain a broad audience and not much else, and therefore should not be taken seriously into account when discussing such loaded topics as gender and women empowerment. The reality is far less entertaining, we all very well know that. At the end of the day, I believe women have to fight chauvinism of any kind. 👍🏼 After all, we are not living in the Stone Age anymore, where women had to obey a man's words or face death.

Just my two cents. 😉

While I do agree with you that TV shows are meant for entertainment, it has a millions of viewers who come from diverse backgrounds and not everyone can differentiate right from wrong without the particular custom or tradition explicitly shown as wrong. Young children especially are very easily swayed so the show makers should make sure that gender biases are not promoted in shows especially stuff that is being shown in the current track.

It seems you have a very poor concept of misogyny. Amu is head of the family based on her age not her gender. Also, women can be misogynists too. I don't know how a woman who promotes sex determination, wants a male heir, uses terms such baanj, etc can be anything but a misogynist. Also her source of power is glorification of male sex.

Well misogyny is a man made concept and so obviously people are bound to have different interpretations and perspectives on it. The primary purpose in a misogynistic culture/society, as I understand it, is to subjugate women to positions of no power. In light of this, I find it interesting that the head of such a family and the one holding all the power is a woman. Yes I understand that women can be misogynists as well but it is still a contradiction that I find kind of interesting and I just wanted to point that out. Yes misogyny may be a part of why people like this act the way they do but I think theres a lot more to it than that and so my comment was just an attempt to throw this contradiction out there to see what people thought of it. Anyway, I'm sorry I bothered because I think I misunderstood the point of this thread. It seems like the point of this thread is not to try and understand the underpinnings of misogyny or why people behave the way they do, but rather to merely define people with some pre-set rigid concpets and be happy that we've labeled them.
