You know, Shreya, even if they wanted to make Zara negative and get her to commit murder, they could have at least made her look intelligent. Why this shabby treatment and lame end?

@bold: This would have happened if they wanted Zara to survive as a positive character. But Indira Sharma is Hitler Didi and therefore cannot become negative. That's why Zara was sacrificed. Very limited imagination. Feel bad for the characters because they are murdered before they are developed.

You're absolutely right! That's what I said in my response to Shreya...that to preserve 'Indira Sharma' they will murder every other character.

May I digress? I don't know how familiar you are with the hindi films of Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Gulzar, and Basu Chatterjee. These people (just three names amongst many others) would make movies on simple, everyday issues. Sometimes, their take would be gentle humour on serious things.

When Mohit Jha had directed this show in its early days, this is the feel I would get. A gentle, sympathetic look at an average family. Everything about HD at that time was enhanced because of its simplicity.

And look at it now. This is not even a good mockery of the original HD!

BTW, the secret passage from the cupboard reminds me of all those ancient castles and Sherlock Holmes stories. Why would a middle class man in Chandni Chowk with two wives and four kids think of building in secret passages??

This is such a good question and such a solid mystery that no one knows the answer!

But the simple answer is they created her to murder her.
