Kanan I think is your name , well I have been reading ye post very minutely and wanna say you are one person who makes it an interesting discussion point rather than bashing a character unlike others. Thanks for that.
Well coming back to your topic I feel you really cannot blame Rishi for what situation he is in right now . He knew and thought Indira was dead and has suffered 8 long years, and to his surprise one fine day he finds Zara a look alike of Indira in front of him... He was shocked and anyways having a bad marriage with Shweta. He started comforting himself in the company of Zara whom he made believe that she maybe Indira but didnot impose her to think that way... After all Zara is matured enough to think if she is Indira...
So at this moment when he said Zara that he still loves her it is true because he did start loving Zara ... When he made his point or proposed her for marriage stating he DOESNOT care whom she was... Coz on his mind he has made way for Zara ...( don't want to give judgement whether he was right or wrong)...
as Indira was burnt by sn family till that time...

So at this moment I am with Rishi and Zara completely and support them completely...

To begin from the leap, that is,the entry of Zara in Rishi' life,I think the only thing which remained the sole reason for every other act of rishi was his love for Indira. He spent 8 long years doing nothing but just immersing himself in the memories of his lost wife..Thats not an easy thing to do and that too in the present world wch offers soo many pleasures n other ways wch are more than enough to fluctuate our thoughts and priorities evry now then ,But this man stayed true to his love with the passing time..Later one fine day, when he saw the only person who was in his thoughts, day and night, every single day,its basic human nature to defy all logic and believe ones instinct that his love is infront of him.He thought from his heart and that is one of the main resons why this character appeals soo much to the mass of the audience. When he was questioned by Zara as to whether he would accept her if she doesnot turn out to be indira,he was mum wch spoke out his love for his only love,Indira. He could have easily tried to pacify Zara, but he opted to keep silent and his silence proved morr than what his words could.Later when he proposed to Zara taking her name,i think here anyone wud question Rishi saying "How come he is ready to accept Zara now??What happened to his love for Indira??"..But for me in accepting Zara,he once again showed his love for Indira..Here am not thinking logically, but am looking at it from the perspective of a normal humanbeing..He could see the reflection of his Indira in Zara, his heart was crying out to him to not let go off the one for whm he waited for all these 8 years..One can say dat this character is nothing but just a person who keeps running behind every look alike of Indira..But for me,in his act of accepting Zara ,deep within was his love for Indira..Sometimes a particular act of a person seems soo low from outside, but only when we go deep within,we realise the true beauty of that act..And finally coming to the present state of HD,today Rishi was all in doubts as to who s Indira and who is Zara, but in all this the only thing which still remains constant is his love for his Indira alone!!!He might be having some feelings for Zara, but ultimately where did they stem from???Because of this eternal love between Inshi..So,as Pari di said,i would like to sum up by sayind dat true love is not something that keeps changing its colour, its just too pure to be affected by the ways of the world...
The acts of Rishi sometimes seem soo illogical ,wrong and what not!!But any man true to his love wouldnot have acted even a bit diffrent from Rishi and i thank the CVs for keeping this character soo close to reality dat we can enjoy it without any touch of deliberate greatness..

Okay, I think I get what you're trying to say. But do correct me if I'm misunderstanding.

Your questions, if I understand right, are at the story level. You are not questioning Rishi's character or his love for Indira. You are trying to see that now that he is married to both Indira and Zara, how does he see this playing out? There are some decisions that he needs to take, which no one else can take for him. And because some decisions impact the lives of others in innumerable ways, what will he base them on? Hope I have not misunderstood...

The answer to this, IMHO, lies in a question counter to the one that @Pari117 asked: if Zara brings proof that the mentally unstable lady is not Indira, then who will Rishi choose?

Will he pick the one he loves? To do that, does he know where is his heart invested? All proofs notwithstanding. The answer to this question, I think will answer the remaining questions you have asked.

While on the subject, I would disagree that Zara does not need support. Sure, she is not in the same physical and mental condition that the mentally unstable Indira is in. But this is too big a shock. She has just denied marrying a man who she really loved. She has let go of her career and is clueless about who she is and what happens next.

Just wait and watch, I suppose. Sorry, did not mean to intrude. I do not post here often, but I do follow the show.

@bold-2:Exactly...my post today was looking at the situation from Zara's perspective. That's all. Because he has married her, the whole situation changes.

PS: Am glad that normal men are not the HD variety. Otherwise, our lives would have been a serious jung!

@red Personally,I feel the character Rishi is soo close to reality because with this character the CVs never really had the problem of maintaining its sanctity all the time..They have butchered this character at tyms (or infact many tyms) and i feel sometyms the defects in a particular character makes it more adorable to the viewers if we look at it placing ourselves in its shoes than trying to to stay in the expectation to always get to see an ideal character in evry other soap..The character Rishi with his defects and some of the most b'ful traits,is still a huge part of this show and is loved by the audience...

So much thoughtful discussion on this topic! I think you all have put more thought into Rishi than the creatives ever did:))
That said, here is my problem with Rishi's potrayal. I could support his actions up till the point Zara asked him if he would love her even if she wasn't Indira. I actually really liked his initial silence- I think it was apt. But from this point forward, Rishi went into denial mode and has not come out since. I liked most of his words to Zara today except when he stated something along the lines of "i still love you." This tells me he is still confused and in denial. Either he did love Zara as Zara and in this case he still loves her or he loved Zara as Indira in which case he should no longer have any feelings for Zara. But like Heema said, I don't know if any of us would behave in a rational way either if we were confronted with the absurdity that Rishi has seen. So maybe confusion is really the most realistic response.
On top of all this, I find it really really annoying that he has made no attempt thus fas ro unravel the Indira survived the pyre mystery (I know the writers are saving this one for Zara to figure out) but in the process, Rishi and the rest of SN comes out looking really dumb.

what i felt for rishi was only pity yesterday nothing else

i didnt hate him i dunno why maybe its because of the absolute pathetic way they are writing rishi that i feel sad for the actor

or whether he has fallen for zara and his conscious is killing him thats why
im very confused

the very fact is point blank rishi is in love with zara whether she is indira or no doesnt matter he loves that woman with his soul BUT all the proofs as he says are in favor of lahorewali and how oh how can he betray his pehla pehla pyar not possible😆

whatever it is i feel sorry for the guy im pretty sure zara will hate him but in a few days he will realise he loves her
but thats where the character destruction is gonna begin! i feel sympathy
although i doubt the audience woud!
the merciless character destruction od rishi makes me feel sorry for the actor and i wish they had some say into all this alas though it will never happen!
