I absolutely agree with the part about Rishi. You know this track could still have been redeemed if they had left the Zara-Rishi equation at the "Would you still love me if I'm not Indira" juncture. That was a perfect time for Rishi to introspect and even if his answer would have been no or I'm still confused- ask me few days later, I would have been okay with it. In TV's lala land, I would have been willing to forgive and forget his initial actions in the rush of emotions. But from what he said today, it is clear that he did not truly accept Zara as Zara and was still acting under the rush of his emotions. The writers have taken way too many liberties with his character for the sake of creating drama. Like I said in another thread, the LW and Rishi make a perfect couple- both act like 2 year olds. It really does not matter who turns out to be Indira now.

And Rishi's lecture to Kutumb was cherry on the cake!

Regarding depiction of the ECT, again it was stereotyped to the max and then some. Like you said, people are usually sedated before ECT and it can work miraculously for some people.

@bold-1: That was a very important juncture. And I really wish they had treated it differently. Like you said, even "I don't know" would have been acceptable. Although we would have had other things to say about him then, it would really have been okay. Rishi's silence at that point did make it look like he was thinking. But, no. It now seems like he was obsessed with not losing someone who resembles his Shrimatiji. And that's why he proposed marriage to her. Now all of this looks so lame and farcical.

This is a factor of a dull plot and slothful characterization. I refrained from saying this before because Zashi was (still is) the flavour of the season. But really, in their initial interactions, I kept looking for that one thing that would put Rishi above Malik for Zara. What did he do that was so special that she, who is supposed to be married, is willing to walk away from that relationship? I really found nothing.

Of course, Malik turned out to be a terrorist etc. But had that not been the case, what would provoke her to look for love outside? Is it just that Rishi made her feel special? Is it just that she had no feelings for Malik?

That, in my opinion, is insufficient explanation because had that been the case, then there would have been ample opportunity for her before Rishi came along. So, obviously, there was some connect between them. Where is that connect now? Sorry, I think I am rambling...but this 'twist' is bordering on the infantile.

The moment a character is shown as having a psychiatric disorder, there must be a scene that shows the horrors of the shock therapy. It sometimes even includes sadistic doctors who lack empathy and shows the patient suffering pain and convulsions. Not once has it been shown realistically. @bold-2: Why would you say this? My guess is that you trust the CVs too little. You think they show one thing and the truth is something else. You don't really expect them to hand this to you so directly. 😆

I thought I would hazard a guess on which one is Indira, but its too much effort. 😊

I am very surprise to see EST is used as regular treatment. It's only use in extreme cases if needed but its rarelly used . Usually family member refused it . I think HD needs EST . They might wake up very fast !!!! Or sleep for long time !!

Walden and Kanan I am not sure you will return back to this thread but I just got to read very interesting conversation ..Yes I blame CV to ruin interesting character of Rishi !! I hope they repair it my giving good dailogs,secially when he faces Zara in private !!!(no one can pay me enough to be Rishi , when Zara meets him in private) , I do not know why but I still think that Zara is Indira!! Otherwise there is no need for her presence in HD , in Barasati, and BNHH movements ! She did fall for him with very little affords from Rishi !! Remember her touch in the bathroom scene in her apartment ? Ahante music at Mumbai Airport? All the repeat romantic scenes ? Why did she see his face?( , When she closed her eyes) Why she was thinking about Rishi when MK tried to kiss her? Rishi was in need for affection and he was chasing her in front of her husband and she was letting him!! This must have some significant to the story or is this just a dream ?? They did play lambi judai song for them. Why ?

I am lost !! My head is not working !!
