Okay, guys...please don't get carried away.
Yukti, I feel the need to clarify this to you because you seem hurt at some comments. This is not about Indira v/s Sharma Family or Rishi v/s Sharma Family. I know some posts here might have sounded to you like that, but people can have their opinions.
I clarified at the beginning that this was not a bashing post. Still, it seems to have hit the wrong chord with some.
My only point in the original post was that if Indira has walked out of Sharma Nivas and has walked out on her parivaar, then she needs to make a clean break of it. As I said in the original post, if she is practicing tough love, then she needs to be tough on herself too. What that meant (which I did not write) was that in her case, becoming tough meant detaching from her main weaknesses Ishaan and Seher, as well as the others. Its tough for her to cut off from her family overnight, but she has taken the step. And having taken such a huge step, it now rests with her to see it through.
Living in Amma's barsaati and being clued into every trauma her family is going through is not going to help her mission. She really needs to make a clean break. Therefore, she should not be sorting out their problems even without their knowledge. The only way a child learns not to go near fire is when he has been scalded once. Just once. That's what she needs to remember. They don't think for a moment before scalding her. Its her turn now and she should make the most of it.
As for Rishi, I did mention that he is not the focus of this post. He can do much better if the CVs handle him decently. But he has been butchered beyond recognition, IMHO. They make him whatever suits them at the moment. Sometimes lawyer and sometimes abala nar, sometimes a talented cartoonist and sometimes a drunkard.
