Why does Indira keep committing the same mistake that the IF members have been pointing out from day 1 of the Rishi kidnapping track? She has been bashed left right and centre because apparently Rishi has played the more magnanimous role in their relationship. I do agree! šBut Indira has much much much more to loose! She looses all her self respect and worse she looses hope and faith in the world she kept on toiling in only because she believed in it. She loses her essence. The essence of being INDIRA. Yes she was not vocal abt it but we know it.
Why else would a woman being so unhappy keep earning for her family that treats her like trash? Rishi was lucky. He is far more detached from his family and could easily denounce them. Remember he ran away to US. He found the courage to severe those ties.
Due to Rishi abetting her and due to circumstances Indira found the courage to trust her father again. It brought back that humane side in her. The part of her that wanted to love and laugh. But the thought of her father betraying her again sucked the life out of her. She knows what her family is capable of but till date it was just Indira being used for her earnings. Inside she felt livid but kept doing her job because at the end of the day she was loyal to them and believed her family loved her in their own petty way.
I completely understand why Indira refuses to accept the fact that someone on her family might be behind the kidnapping. I mean cud they be that heartless? Thank you Indira. You make me want to keep my faith in humanity again. š
Indira's apprehension lies in the fact that Sumer's words might just be true. What happens if what Sumer is relaying to her turns out to be true? She will get Rishi back but her entire world will collapse. Yes Rishi loved her unconditionally but he has just rooted himself in Indira's heart very recently. Her family was there from the beginning in their own demented way! Hitler is far more human compared to her family. She refuses to remove the rose tinted glasses from her eyes because the truth will completely destroy whatever little faith she has still kept alive in her heart!
While Rishi's genuine love for her and his purity of heart is unquestionable he does not have to cope with Indira's moral dilemma! In reality such a situation would have torn any of us apart. If a similar case happened with indira being kidnapped by Rishi's family for whatsoever reason the moral crisis is not there. thats why he could send his brother behind bars. As far as I have studied Rishi's character he seems to understand this and thus never questioned Indira's loyalty towards her family. Thus he tried so hard to befriend her horrible family. If Indira cared really little for her family she would have never worked for them(Like Mandira wouldn't probably) and remained indifferent and Rishi would have never tried to placate them. Instead he would have taken her far away from all this mess long ago.
Its unfortunat! Rishi's love is never questioned because has devoted his time for Indira and Indira only. But he has none to call his own. Whereas indira's morality, character and love for her husband is questioned because she still wants to believe in humanity. Remember Rishi made her trust and returned her faith in humanity in the first place. The old Hitler would have probably questioned the very fiber of her family's love for her in such a scenario after her mom vociferously stated she wanted to see kanji aank wala die. So her stupidity is actually the positive influence that Rishi brought in her!?š
PS: This topic is not meant for pple who would take this as an insinuation on my part to bash Rishi or a strategy to prove Indira's mahanta!š I have just juxtaposed their lives and their characters. Rishi's magnanimity should not be exploited to point out that Indira is not worthy of his love! thats all. After being disowned by his family rishi found a wife a friend and a soul mate in Indira and her love. Do not forget that! If it was based on who did what more for whom no relationship in this world would sustain! In a relationship one is bound to be a little bit more selfless than the other. It is not a valid point to establish the paradigms of a successful and a deserving relationships. I think Rishi knows that too and thus he cannot imagine anyone except Indira to be his choice of a perfect life partner! he is aware f her limitations and so are we! Actually they both have their limitations but they still loved each other(Remember Indira's powerful dialogue/dilemma regarding if she could marry someone like Rishi with no job and so many flaws that included lying to her face every sec) š stop dehumanizing both of them becuase the reasons you would point out saying it alienates them from humanity makes them far more human in reality. š
