Hii guys

This is my second post today, I'm writing too much but I wanted to have this as a separate post. Today's episode not only gave us a peep into Ricky's childhood but to me it has given the crux of Hitler Didi. Till now I was wondering that in spite of having a heart of pure gold, why is he so immature and irresponsible at times? And from the beginning of the show viewers have wondered even though she's soft inside why doesn't she smile and why is she a hitler. The tagline of the show is ''yeh aisi kyon hai?'' We knew abt Indira's hardships but today we got a hint of Ricky's story. Like Indira, Ricky did not get the love of his family...and these two people Indira and Ricky have responded to the step treatment they got from their families in two totally opposite ways. While Indira suppressed her emotions and her desire for love, and became the strict and stubborn 'hitler', Rishi on the other hand became too carefree and jovial. Indira stayed with her family thinking that she is just doing her duty, Ricky left them thinking that he can be all happy-go-lucky without them. But both are two sides of the same coin, as both these individuals did not get the normal, balanced growth in their teen years as the supportive, happy atmosphere of a home was missing. That is why they are not balanced as people and are two extremes, both hungry for love, and together they complete each other.

But this makes you think, are families bad?? In Mahabharata it is said that ''putr bhale hi kuputra ho par mata kabhi kumata nahin hoti'' meaning that a son may be bad but a mother can never be bad. Basically, Indira and Ricky are not selfish people. They are sensitive and have a higher emotional quotient than their families. People like that do exist and its really tough for such people to survive in this mean, money-driven world. And in some unfortunate cases, even their families can't understand them. This is not because they wish bad for them but because they are so self-consumed that they're incapable of understanding their children's feelings. That being an Artist is not useless for their child, its their inner-voice, its his love. The poor want a better life and rich want to sustain their luxury and reputation. They can't understand that that not all of us are money-making machines and there can be feelings that are more important than reputation, property, comforts. In the race of fulfilling worldly requirement people like Kutumb, Inder, Mr. and Mrs. Diwan have lost the ability of appreciating the beauty of the parent-child bond, the underlying desires of their children, their subtle-emotions. This why some people with a higher EQ like Indira and Ricky have to suffer. Their sensitive hearts do not get the extra care and affection needed, they get crushed and eventually they adapt to their surroundings in different ways for survival. A part of them is sometimes lost in the process. Are we moving into a world like Don Henley's song says, " The End of the Innocence''? With the kind of characters they have, Hitler Didi does portray such an image of the world, of relationships.

No , we are not moving towards End of innocence.

The world thrives on innocence.

It needs love to survive. And it will be there for ever.

Wow, I'm excited to see the episode now just because of this post! I've been dreading the turn of events even though it was going to have to happen sooner or later; if we get a bit of insight into Ricky's life from this, though, that means that there's at least a silver lining to this cloud.
Thanks for the post - love the subject, very thought-provoking...Off to watch the episode now!

well it's great u think so positive but is it such a simple answer??? why are we making tv shows where the mother wants to sell her daughter, a brother wants only property and a girl his brother loves, another mother is only worried about her reputation, a teenager just wants money from her life-partner, another son is least bothered abt his sister running d family and cares only about his 'mauj'...aren't tv shows some reflection of society?

Yes , Shilpa TV shows are the reflection of Society.

But See , who are the Hero-Heroine of this show. Rishi & Indira , not any selfish character.
The Popularity of HD is indicative , what people wants to see , and they want to see innocence & love.

Indira can very well get 50 crores for her house , but she prefers to work for 20 thousand job why ?? Just for the love of house and her childhood memories.

Material comforts & wealth , may make life look comfortable. But what makes , life worth living is the love , affection & innocence. These will thrive for ever.

thank you so much. Every cloud has a silver lining, and those clouds are as much part of the sky as is the lining. Good and bad both exist in this world. It is possible to make people learn by showing the the good, good people, happy-endings but HD is different in the sense that its not a rosy picture. They are giving their message through the 'bad'. Like you said, sometimes seeing the 'bad' hits you harder and creates greater impact.
