Yes , Shilpa TV shows are the reflection of Society.

But See , who are the Hero-Heroine of this show. Rishi & Indira , not any selfish character.
The Popularity of HD is indicative , what people wants to see , and they want to see innocence & love.

Indira can very well get 50 crores for her house , but she prefers to work for 20 thousand job why ?? Just for the love of house and her childhood memories.

Material comforts & wealth , may make life look comfortable. But what makes , life worth living is the love , affection & innocence. These will thrive for ever.

yes that's what i tried to say...Indira and Rishi are not selfish but are they happy?? Let alone the world are their mothers rewarding them for their selflessness? Their own mother don't understand them. Only hero-heroine do not make the world. Jhumpa is part of the society as much as Indira. They together make society. My point is that, in the race to fulfill worldly requirement we run a risk of losing the ability of understanding subtle emotions. And each character of HD gives that message. Of course i'm not saying that everyone is bad everything thing is over. The only thing is sometimes we all should take out some time to think and live that innocence on which, as you said, the world thrives.

@bold: I can't wait for this to happen. Slowly but surely, they will heal each other. Indira was listening to him, she was watching him speak about his childhood...I think she was able to identify with that feeling of being "abandoned", deprived...They are, as you said, Shilpa, two sides of the same coin. Two contrasting reactions to the same situation, and therefore, united through a desire to be appreciated and loved.

Wow, your in-depth analysis summarizes HD quite nicely! Thanks for giving us interesting reading material. 👏

They were left alone at small age, and they chose to fulfill their dreams in different ways that fit very well with the reality. Indu chose to stay with her family and keep the house going, she portraits the role of a classical woman. Ricky on the other hand, left everything behind him and began his journey as a careless and 'free' human being without any restraints. Unlike Indira, he knew his family would do without him because of their income. He portraits the role of a more mysterious kind of person, although there exists many men in the modern world who think like him. Such people can give up everything for their desires to come true. The search for happiness is common for both Indu and Rishi, they're just searching for it in their own unique ways.

Just my little contribution to this wonderful thread. 😊

Shilpa, very nice post! But I don't think it's end of innocence. To me it was showcasing of sensitive side of Ricky which was very much required to see him in whole as a person he is. Infact, his attitude towards life will help Indira further, to move towards her happiness.

@Shilpa

I thought I would pick you up with the first post where you had different view about Rishi, and I tend to agree with your second post definitely.
Indira and Rishi are two sides of a coin who badly need love and affection, who have been rejected by their respective families, who are thronging to be loved by someone, whose dreams have been shattered to live their lives. Indira chose to support her family because her family still needs her as a bread earner and Rishi's family doesn't need him is the difference.
Rishi is totally justified to not tell her he is Diwan as he has had an abused childhood where his dreams are shattered to the core who wants to lead a normal guy life. He chose to drop his true identity for the good, to keep away himself from the past trauma and painful childhood. Indira has every right to be upset to know that he has faked his identity, but Rishi has solid ground to defend himself that he doesn't want to be a diwan and has nothing to do with his family, who is an orphan looking for love and affection.
It is painful for Indira to throw him out of her life, but she too for a moment gets engrossed with Rish's past life and the pain he has revealing that. She too finds Rishi's life quite similar to her, but only difference she never chose to lie ever, but Rishi did it with a reason though. Indira could see the honesty in what Rishi was saying to her, she wants to trust him, she wants him with her, but she can't forgive him for breaking her trust and confidence over him.
Since you touch Mahabharat, I would bring in Karan's character here with similar shades to Rishi. Both chose to lie, but the situation demanded to lie. Karan would never been an archer if he chose not to lie to his guru, but eventually paid the prize for lieing with the curse. Karn too was humiliated numerous times except for duryodan who showered him love, just like Rishi from his family. Both had frustrating brewing inside and when they got true love and affection they were ready to give their lives for that person.
Rishi can't live without Indira, he has found his true love and Indira got Rishi would loves her so much, which she knows, but not ready to accept just yet. But, once Rishi is out now that is when Indira will miss him every bit, and that would make her think does she want Rishi to completely fade away from her life or whether she wants to forgive him and accept him with a new beginning ? but again the twist of Vidit mystery could shatter her completely..
