By Himanshu Guru: The latest Hindi serial 'Hitler Didi' on Zee TV is a unique drama that portrait the struggle of a spinster to balance her professional individuality and the common homely hitches.
I am afraid; I am not convinced with the title. The use of 'Hitler' seems a square peg in the round hole to me. One can smell affirmative comments to my concern in media. The name 'Hitler' is the biggest name that stands for strict administration. But, here in the serial, the character sometime also feels helpless and embarrassed, being upset with the household challenges. Moreover, a positive character who is taking so much of pain to restore happiness to her family, does not deserves the hatred that people tag for a boss full of duress; rather she is an inspiring one. I mean, Strong will power of a responsible house maker is different from a strict ruler. 'Hitler Didi', the character around which the whole story revolves has been beautifully established as a woman who has lost her sense of humor, her ability to feel tender emotions and converted into a stern disciplinarian. Then, the male lead is Rishi, a tenant whose smile, cheerful humor and jovial spirit bring ripple of breeze to a family that has felt infuriated under the reign of their Hitler Didi. Out of screen this is Sumit Vats, who has played opposite Rati Pandey. 'Hitler Didi' is an inspiration, to make others happy sacrificing self eases and to find happiness in others' smile. The move of the plot (till last episode) has predicted of the future transition of a dry and emotionless Indira to a romantic lady; making the serial a unique one. |
