Welcome to the first Saying of the Fortnight!!!!!🤗

This is one of the new activities which the Development Team has in store of all the HP members😃

What is this "Saying of the Fortnight", you ask.

Well, its just your analysis, thoughts, feelings, interpretations of a dialogue which is said by the Character of the Month, who, this month,is the Boy-Who-Lived aka Harry Potter.

So wasting no time further, let me tell you the Saying of the Fortnight..............

"I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble usually finds me."

This was said by Harry Potter in Prisoner of Azkaban, Chapter Five, when he is about to board the Hogwarts Express and is stopped by Mr Weasley, who warns him about Sirius Black.
The lines prior to the above quote are:
  • "Harry, swear to me you won't go looking for Black." Mr. Weasley

  • "Why would I go looking for someone I know wants to kill me?" Harry

So now put on your thinking caps and start interpreting.......

  • Does trouble, indeed, look for Harry? Or is it the other way around?
  • depends on the readers way of looking on the situation. Coz like in the philospher's stone he could have stopped when neville tried to stop him and left dumbledore or some other teacher to deal with the person who was trying to steal the stone but he wemt himself to save it. so it could be said that he does go looking for trouble
  • Are there any situations where Harry could have avoided trouble, if he wasnt soooooo goody-goody?
  • again the above example coz he went there to save the stone and he was being noble(not a bad thing) but he could've avoided getting himself into troubble if he had left someone else to deal with it
  • Do you think that the above quote is fully appropriate or not for Harry?
  • nope not appropriate for harry as he does go looking for trouble even though hes just trying to achieve something good

These questions would help you to inculcate the idea of the quote much better. So guys, please start posting your opinions on the above quote😃

Hope you like our new activity😃 Please do post your suggestions or comments about the Saying of the Fortnight😃

With loads of love,
😃HP Development Team😃

I think Harry actually does go looking for trouble, cuz he's always trying to be the good guyand jump in head-first, but I guess it doesn't help that he's got enemies left right and center!
