And there is no way one can discuss Dumbledore being gay and it's affect on the story without discussing gay issues. It simply cannot be done. 'sides this debate would show (if stranger@mirror chooses to comply) both ends of how people feel when it comes down to the subject of homosexuality and had Dumbledore been living in somewhat of a parallel society then one may be able to determine Dumbledores reasoning's behind why he did what he did. Personally, homosexuality is the reason why I bother to learn everything I can. One, than can determine that, Dumbledore's reasoning may have been the same and not be wrong.

BTW, there's no need for you to apologize, you didn't offend me. 😊

umm, I think you just answered your own query. I don't hold the same view. I haven't called you names (however you have LGBT's) and I only questioned your reasons for what you said. Is it okay for you to say something in a public forum but not me? Just because you have said hurtful things, does it mean I should go and crawl under a rock without as much as a peep (like a coward)? Why should I let you say things that I disagree with without expressing my views?

I was stating an opinion. Please tell me you're not being hypocritical and telling me that I'm not allowed to state my opinion yet you are and it's okay for you to not "mind what u say" but I must adhere to that rule. You didn't "mind" anything when you chose to call people dirty criminals.

NARTH consists mainly of conservative Christians (btw, I do not in any way believe all Christians hold such biased views because I know they don't) whose only motive is to convert everyone to heterosexuality (as if the failed attempts of those before them have not taught anyone a lesson) and their "research" contradicts most mental health professionals. It'll also do well for you to know that NARTH President, Charles Socarides had even gone as far as to misrepresent the APA's data in his "research" where he quoted documents from 1968 (which agreed on his anti-homosexuality stance) rather than the updated 1990 (which disagreed) to make it seem that the prestigious organization agreed with what NARTH was promoting. Legal action was taken. None of NARTH's reparative therapy has worked, at all and even Socarides admits to it.

NARTH has about 1,000 mental health professionals while the APA has about 132,000 as such I'm more prone to believe the APA who, FYI, have removed homosexuality as a mental disorder from their books.

One more thing if homosexuality is a choice than suffice it to say that heterosexuality is a choice too and how exactly do we know that heterosexuality is the norm and homosexuality is not? And if you say they can have kids, read the following link first. (Warning: I write a lot and I may have repeated things a few times in that particular debate).
