i luv d DH...but i dint like d endin...i thot she wud atlist 4 1 lst time show grimwauld place wid kreacher n burrow....shw ended it so abruptly....it wud hav been more fun if she showed harry-ginny marriage....n ron-hermy marriage.....n aftr daty she cud show d king cross scene wid harry ginny n dere children....u no james sounded totally like fred n george 2 me....i liked him......

there was not much death in d buk.....i dint cry 4 1 moment except i felt like cryin wen fred died.....

i wanna know 1 thng:y wasnt dere NETHN 2 do wid hufflepuff??????y??????harry enterd evry common room except hufflepuff y?????????

n it was amazin wen i foudn dat sanpe actually luv him lily....n dey both grew up in d same village......n harry had a famous ancesstor...but 1 thng....DD tld in harry mind dat dey cudnt evr dettect james' misdoin wen he usd dat cloak...but den how did snape caught harry in d 4th buk?????

but i simply luvd d buk on d whole....its was grrrrr8......hats off to JKR...👏

I hated the ending!..it was so cluttered!..left me wondering so much, like who married Draco, what happened to Luna, Patil twins, Cho, George, Charlie, Percy etc.

After watching HP5, I had a feeling there would be something btwm Luna & Draco!..because he never saw her fave, when they met at the station, we couldn't see his face & when he was spying on DA, he just saw her skipping down the hall. I always thought he would be mesmorized by her beauty & fall for her!

But my very favorite part was in chapter 31-page 625!..left me craving for more!..& also in Chapter 19 where we found out Ron loved Hermy(yes, we knew that..but this sorta confirms it!)

I think Harry-Ginny look pretty cute!..

But you know, when we see the movie, there will barely be any Dan, Rupert & Emma..because in more that half the book, they're drinkin polyjuice potion! so cuts out half their screenplay!

However, since draco had overpowered dumbledore, the elder wand recognised him as the master although draco never had the wand. (If draco had the wand with him, it would have worked for him). later Harry overpowered draco (this has nothing to do with draco's wand), so the elder wand recognised its new master as harry although the wand was in possession of voldermort, and it never worked properly for voldermort, meaning that it was only an oridnary wand for him.

Finally, harry took the original elder wand from voldermort and it did work for him when he used it to mend his original phoenix wand.

By the way, this is my first post in the forum. I loved the book. I finished reading it in one day, but my husband was very upset iwth me, since I did not do any work in the house and ordered outside food throughout the day.There were some very good scenes in the book, like nagini as bathilda, gringotts escapade, snapes memories, dumbledore's past, etc. Hats off toyou JK Rowling.

I have loved all potter books, and they have all been great, only the fifth book was a little less great in comparision.

so you are suggesting that if harry overpowers draco even when draco is not in posession of the wand, then elder wand became harry's. very likely.

on basis of what you have said, i am rereading the bit being said during the duel between harry and voldemort::

the elder wand recognised its new master before dumbledore died, someone who never even laid his hands on it.

also slightly later:

you missed your chance. i got there first. i overpowered draco weeks ago. i took his wand from him.

so it seems that just as long as he overpowered draco and took any wand from him, elder wand would become harry's....

i really felt bad , reading fred s death... dont know if i m feeling worse for fred, bec he was killed, or for george , bec he s living without his twin, his partner in crime!!!! if at all JKR had to kill a weasely, why not perce or charlie, or even arthur???

i cudnt bel, she cud do this, esp since she herself has got twins.... it was very cruel to have killed one of them... i m feeling more upset bec i have twins... it was a very insensitive thing to do.. sorry if i ve hurt any 1 s feelings!!

Something's been bothering me for a while and I'm unable to go check it since currently my sister's got her hands on my copy of DH and won't let go. Excuse me if it has been discussed before, have tried my best to go through all posts here but they keep increasing with the speed of light. 😛

When Harry was with Dumbledore at "King's Cross" in the end (in his mind or whatever), the creature he saw there, was it the future form of Voldemort after his would-be death? When Harry got back and battled Voldy, he told him he had seen what Voldy was going to be like so I deduce it was Voldemort and it makes sense to me since he had ripped his soul in so many parts its kinda hard to imagine it being returning to its original form even after his death. Am I right or wrong?

Btw, I think it wasn't 'King's Cross' where Harry met Dumbledore in the end of the book, was it? I thought cross in "king's Cross" was a metaphor for a cross between two worlds or in another words, a cross between life and death.

Made sense? No? I didn't think so~

Somebody here mentioned that had Harry named one of his sons Sirius, they'd have loved it. I second that and Sirius deserved at least as much. Btw, what's James potter's (Harry's son) middle name? Was it mentioned? Wish its Sirius.


P.S: Risking to sound like a broken round, Albus Severus Potter is adorable~ 🤗 He's officially my most favorite character after Harry and that's saying a lot considering we only got a glimpse of about an hour of his life

I can understand your feelings but let's take it this way, she had to kill one of the most beloved characters for making a point of how serious the situation is and killing one of Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny would simply have been horrible. After Fred's death we at least have George who can't replace him but at least can slowly fill the void caused by Fred's death somehow but that is not the same case with any other.

Fred'll surely be missed.😭

Damn man--I confess I did cry..Lol...Not like breakin down n all coz at tha time I didnt know all that the truth came only in the next chapter..but then after I read the Prince's Tale, I immediately went back n damn it my heart just melted yaar!!!😭 N also when Dumbledore asks him "After all these years..." and he says "Always..." 😭

The Secret Keeper Of the headquarters of OOTP dies---n if by any chance such a situation arises, then there should be an alternative right? Which is why Dumbledore planned it all that way. He never actually told his entire plans to ANYONE! If the secret Keeper Dies...then everyone whom the secret keeper told DIRECTLY abt the headquarteres becomes a Secret Keeper..\. Dumbledore PLANNED it that way. He WANTED everyone to believe that Snape would tell Voldy the location. Else, the whole game wud have been given away....

Just completed the book and i must say im a lil dissapointed.. Basically it was a very predicatble book...

Secondly it was really sad.. Yet i loved Snape-Lily's story.. Snape stood out all through HP7... Harry, Hermoine, ron's bond became strongers.. The 3 deathly hallows story was intresting.. That was all the gud things i found in HP7..

Fred's death was the worst.. The place where voldemort hid the Diamen was too easy.. It shud have been some other place.. The epiologue was way way boring.. i actually skipped most of it.. The epilogue was what dissapointed me the most.. It shudnt have been dere somehow.. 😭

Yet, i love JK Rowling's world of Hogwarts! 😳

Yaar look at it...See what James did to Snape at School..agreed James did it just for fun in the spirit of a student just jokin sense and he really was a good man..But see thats not the way Snape took it...Dumbledore always said--"Its funny the way Human mind works"---Snape was broought up in a very miserable household..his dad n mom never got together well...n his life was all Hogwarts as Harry sais "Hogwarts was home to orphans like Him,Riddle and Snape"...N at that home, he was miserably treated by some fellow student...can u actually blame him??? N that debt he had to James burned his insides--IT IS COMPLETELY NATURAL! If I was him(Lol..I can never he the great brave man he turned out to be!!!😆 ) I wud have reacted the same way...and to add to all that Lily married James--James whom he hated..Lily whom he loved with all his heart! N Harry always reminded him of James---Harry was the son of James and Lily...the woman whom Snape loved sooo much---he reminded him of his own loss! Of his own misery!

Mate...There is no way Snape is a bad charactre...He is one of the best of the characters in he book and I completely love him for that sheer Bravery that he showed to protect the boy whom he hated...n that true nd PURE love for the only woman he ever loved!👏

Absolutely agree with you lakshmi...I always liked Snape coz he had a mysterious aura abt him..but now i ADORE him.....& love the way Lily called him Sev😳
