Actually, I have an idea. Why don't you ask JKR herself?

My God !.. why do people still keep on insisting that the elder wand never killed Harry in the forest ? !.. is there anything that i might be missing ?.. bcoz i think there certainly is something i am missing why else would i be forced to repeat the same thing N number of times ?.. Elder Wand did Kill Harry in the forest !.. thats how it is in the book atleast !.. the death curse cast by the elder wand directly transported Harry & Voldy into "the Limbo" , it did not favour its master in this case since its master never attempted to defend his life, should that have been the case then surely the Elder Wand would have sprung to Harry's defence ..but that wasnt the case, Harry surrendered himself & Elder Wand just did its job when the death curse was caste using it..the fact that Harry returned from "the Limbo" had nothing to do with the elder wand but everything to do with Lily's sacrifice which was still alive in Voldy's body on Earth, in effect enabling Harry to return back to life ..

When Dumbledore said that "He failed/ tried to kill you with my wand" it simply meant that Harry had a choice of returning back to life unlike Voldy's part of the soul which was certainly doomed for eternity & this was not about Elder wand magically enabling or pulling its master back to life but was all about Lily's magical protection which was still present inside Voldy's living body on Earth that enabled Harry to return to his life..

When I said that there could be twisted justifications to explain the complicated nature of Elder Wand's allegiance , this is not what i had in mind.. there could many many possible justifications based on complicated nature of Harry-Voldy bond & the complicated aspect of Wandlore put together..there could be various permutations & combinations, but elder wand sparing Harry's life in the forest in not one among them bcoz CLEARLY elder wand didnt spare Harry's life in the forest !..phew !..

Ok, on your point that Voldy killed Harry with the elder wand...

Harry sat in thought for a long time, or perhaps seconds. It was very hard to be sure of things like time, here.
'He killed me with your wand.'
'He failed to kill you with my wand.' Dumbledore corrected Harry. 'I think we can agree that you are not dead - though of course,' he added, as if fearing he had been discourteous, 'I do not minimise your sufferings, which I am sure were severe.'

There, you have it from the horse's mouth! "'He failed to kill you with my wand.' Dumbledore corrected Harry. 'I think we can agree that you are not dead'!"

Surya, I thought I already explained " the words from the horse's mouth" in my previous post it self.. I specifically selected those words to clear it out & I must request u to go through it again..& if u still feel like contradicting , feel free to do so & we can discuss further..

P.S.. if the 'elder wand' never killed Harry then it didn't kill Voldy either.. bcoz both Harry & Voldy were transported into the Limbo..elder wand just did its job when the death curse was cast using it..the fact that Harry returned & Voldy's part didn't inspite of the Horcrux magic happened bcoz Lily's magical protection was able to overpower the horcrux magic & when Dumbledore said "Voldy failed to kill or Harry wasn't dead ", it was simply in reference to Harry's available option to return back to Earth owing to Lily Sacrifice which was still alive on Earth & it didn't mean that the elder wand decided not to harm its master bcoz in this case, it did harm its master, but Lily's magical protection prevented the catastrophe..

You have taken Dumbly's lines out of context & twisted it to make it seem like elder wand had something to do with Harry's ressurection when it absolutely didn't..
