haha, okay. a big disagree.
HARRY AND HERMIONE? Even without having JKR making harry speak aloud the fact that what he felt for hermione was nothing more than brotherly love, it feels like incest.
No offense, just my thoughts.
And on ginny's issue, i think she's an ultimate Bada**. She's always been strong and can put harry in his place. Hermione on the other hand has always been affected by ron since like... the fourth book. LOL.

Agree that Harry & Hermione should've ended together. But you know all the non-book people who watched the movie here thought they were 'secretly in love' 😆... so no complains from movies.

Even from book's pov, I reckon what Harmony shared is way beyond love...something extremely intense & powerful, hard to put in words. Like soulmates... soulmates might not always end up together but they share this soul-connection which keeps em together 😳

Ron and Hermione were the best couple in HP, and I can honestly see Hermione with no other character. I always viewed her and Harry as brother/sister, and the love they shared was more familial than romantic. I'm really glad JKR made them end up together and it's stricly a member's personal opinion if they feel otherwise.😊 Also, let's please keep in mind that though we all feel as if Harry is ours, JKR created him and she alone has the right to do what she wants. We cannot criticize her for the relationships she created or the deaths she wrought because it is her series and she is the sole author to it. We can have our hopes and dreams about characters, but when they turn out differently from how we expected, we shouldn't feel as if it's a betrayal or that JKR was foolish. It's her book, her choice.
Personally, I feel Harry and Ginny clicked. They did not share the same chemistry as Ron/Hermione because Harry's life was not about romance. He had too much on his plate already and JKR wanted to give the romantic attention to her next two main characters, Ron and Hermione. Yeah, she did not write much about Ginny in the series, but I do not believe it was infatuation that she and Harry had. How can we say that? They barely showed any scenes between them because Harry was always busy trying to kill Voldemort, he did not have the time to take part in normal teenage romance like his friends. I can see why people don't like Ginny, as sometimes she annoys me too, but in the end I feel she was right for Harry, and Ron and Hermione right for each other even more so.
As for the deaths, I would not change any of them. They were all sad, yes, but necessary for the story. Personally, I don't have the ability to kill off my good characters when I write stories, so I really applaud JKR for her nerve.👏 It's not easy, especially when those characters become so beloved to you, but sometimes it's necessary for the storyline and I wouldn't have DH turning out any other way.

Naah. I don't think Remus was what you call an "extra". An extra could move on from the death, he could betray...somewhat like Peter Pettigrew.
Don't forget the risk taken by the others when they knew he was a werewolf. If he was just an "extra" they wouldn't have done that. Peter Pettigrew was more of an "extra". They could have easily done off without him.
And you see in the end of the 3rd book during the Remus-Sirius confrontation, they kinda complete each others' words and come to a conclusion about Pettigrew without actually saying out everything in full sentences. This itself proves that their bond and friendship is pretty strong.
I guess Sirius got more importance 'coz he was the first father figure in Harry's life. Harry had someone who cared for him & wrote to him from OUTSIDE Hogwarts for the first time.
And in the 6th book Harry does expect letters and all from Remus, but doesn't get any 'coz he is erm living with his own kind and all.
And Remus is also important, he gets a wife and child. 😍 I think Sirius was more of a father+brother figure to Harry while Remus was a favourite Uncle types.
You'll know that both are equally important. You'll understand what am talking about in the last novel. :-)

Mihika, nothing you say is going to change people's mind over here. I myself am a Harmony shipper, though am a bigger Dramione shipper. I think Harry's and Hermione's bond is 100x much better written than R-Hr's. JKR has done such a wonderful job of writing Harmony's relationship than Ron-Hermione's relationship.

I love JKR, I worship her, she's my idol, but I wont hesitate to say that if she had gone with flow rather than stick to her original R-Hr pairing, the outcome would have been a beautiful and heartwarming relationship between Harry & Hermione. I am 100% sure. Harmony go beyond what is termed as sexual tension or feelings. Their bond is brilliant. Their hearts are connected, they know each other so well. Harry has never hurt her, and she has never hurt him.
He knew how she was feeling about anything, unlike Ron. He never made her cry, unlike Ron. She never misunderstood him. In my eyes, this is NOT a sibling relationship. No siblings share such a pure bond as Harmony's. I feel they are like soulmates...connected...deeply indeed.
And yes, Dramione & Harmony shippers are called delusional. We are told that Dramione & Harmony happen only inside our heads. But I'd like to say something: Of course it's happening inside our heads. But that doesn't mean it isn't real.

Hey Guys,
As much as I know you lot are having fun, please keep the convo away from Twilight bashing.😊 It's against forum rules to compare two shows, books, movies, etc, and again, I would hate to lock this topic.
Have fun!
