I actually liked the Camping scenes in the book, I thought they were eye opening, and we found out a lot about the characters.😳 I'm one of the very few though for some reason.😆

First day first show..12:00am IMAX

i thought it was an amazing movie and didn't find it boring at any point! it was absolutely fantastic and i can definitely say this is my favorite one out of all the movies that have been out so far...it was simply awesome! I LOVED the camping scenes i thought they were shot brilliantly...didnt find them long at all...i dunno why critics thought they were too long because i mean if u read the book u know that the camping parts are the initial parts in the book and i think they did a great job with them!! The only complain i have is that it seemed kinda rushed..the fact that they are making two movies made me think they will even it out well but im guessing they are keeping the second movie for mostly action and the entire last part...and if they do taht well then im not complaining at all becasue that is the part im looking forward to most! but i think it was rushed..like some of the scenes went by too fast and they could have given a little time to it...but over all fantastic!!! it was amazing i LOVED it!! the humor was perfect....the dialogues were all perfect..the way the movie was picturized was brilliant! i give it a 9.7 out of 10 taking .3 off because of the way it seemed rushed and a scene or 2 where i thought it could have been more closer to the book.

This is definitely a must watch for everyone...do not miss this movie at any costs...i read a couple critic reviews where some made some not so good comments about it which got me all bummed out about it but when i saw it...omggg awesome...yes do read reviews if u like but i think definitely go watch the movie no matter what casue u will definitely enjoy it!

harry potter and the deathly hollows part 1 is definitely a WIN from me!!! and now i cant waitt to go watch it again and again and again and then when the DVD comes out..watch it again and again and again hahaah!!

No, I loved the camping scenes too, but most people seem to not like them. Don't know about others, but I prefer character development over silly romances or brainless actions. This is one reason why I am more excited about part one than part two. Part one has more scope for character development and will be more performance-oriented while part two will be more action-oriented.

- How excited were you about it? And how did it turn out to be? Did it meet your expectation? How was it? Fantastic, decent, or dreadful?
I was so excited! Yep it lived up..and I really enjoyed it!

- Thoughts on the movie and other technical aspects? The performances, direction, screenplay, cinematography, music, editing, visual effects, art direction...?
The direction was really good..fast-paced screenplay and the music really helped with the dramatic atmosphere

- How did the trio grow and evolve as an actor? Who was the best of the three?
Wow they're so grown-up and so amazing! Rupert's comedy keeps getting better but he also showed jealousy and fear well..Emma has become really mature, she delivered a really polished performance, her tears are so genuine..and just want to add she looked so gorgeous..Dan too

- Was the split appropriate or not? Was it effective? Was it really needed or did WB just do it to rake more money?
It was a good place to choose..definitely ended on a cliffhnager..personally I was really inmto th film and could have watched more..but I know many people who were getting tired/bored and I feel the split meant the whole book could be given justice

- How was the pacing? Did it drag at any place or was it too fast to follow?
I didn't find it too fast to follow (but I do know the book pretty well), erm maybe the forest scenes dragged a bit but not as much as in the book

- Any scene/dialogue/performance that stuck out?
Harry and Hermione dancing was a really cute idea
Harry and Ginny''s kiss when George turns up
Seven Potters scene because it was both funny and nervewracking
Dobby's death because it was just so sad

- Anything in the movie that you [relatively] found better than the book (a particular scene, for instance)?
Don't think anything was better..but there were many great scenes

- Was it the best of the series? Where would you place it when compared to the other HP movies?
Hmm thats hard I really liked HBP..maybe 2nd best?
- Was it not better than Twilight? 😆
Yeah I did!

- Finally, on a quite unrelated note, are you still obsessed with this series or has that phase gone long ago?
I don't think its lost its appeal at all
Be back to add a little more later...

First day 3 am show. Here's my review:
As a fan of the books, I am very much satisfied. This one truly stays true the book, so that was fun to watch and some scenes were just the way I imagined they would be.
David Yates will truly win a lot of hearts with this one, I could see him giving his best in terms of direction. He paid so much attention to details and the fact that the emotions, tension and characters should come accross vibrantly on screen. The screenplay was very thrilling and fast-paced. I was not bored for even one second. The way the movie unfolds, you will be on the edge of your seats. Constantly, you have this feeling of "Oh, what will happen next?" even when you know the book. The cinematography was brilliant, the locations chosen were amazing, and the way the scenes were executed was brilliant. One of the most stunningly done sequences was the tale of the three brothers. I think the idea of doing an animated story on that was outstanding!! Kudos to that!! It is a great cinematic journey!!
Every actor did brilliantly.
Dan is just outstanding, nobody can potray Harry the way he does!
Emma was brilliant and gorgeous, she plays her character utterly convincingly.
Rupert was a surprise package to be honest, his comic timing to his emotional scenes were so beautiful!
I could feel the entire cast giving their best shot to this one.
My Top Fav scenes:
Undoudtedly, the Harry-Hermione dance.. that took me by surprise and it was wayyyyyyy adorable!! They have a great friendship, I loveeeeeee them!! <3
When Harry and Ginny smooch, and George comes, winks at Ginny and goes "Goooooood Morning!" That was Hilarious!
The scene where Ron comes back and saves Harry and the locket opens and Ron's biggest fears get revealed. It was one of my favorite parts of the book, and I was really excited when I watched it.
The Ending.. Personally, I can sit through 5 hours of Harry Potter, but I am glad that they had such a cliff-hanger!! This truly builds up the stage for the second 7th part!
True fans wont be disappointed, for sure.
Overall, 9 out of 10. Easily one of the most awesome movies of 2010!!

2nd day of release 11:30 A.M show 😛
The movie was brilliant.
It stayed true to the book, which made me very very very very happy. Some of the cute scenes they added in this one were adorable without changing the storyline.
Dan: He was so much better in this film than the others. His acting improved loads. 👏
Best scene: His emotions during Dobby's death
Rubert: Much better as well, amazing actually. His sarcastic comedy was absolutely hilarious. The theatre i went to was packed and everyone burst into laughter at all his jokes. 👏
Best scene: All scenes involving his leaving and his coming back.
Emma: Perfect! Usually, she overacts tons and is very melodramatic, but in this she was perfect and sweet. 👏
Best scene: Bellatrix's torture
I loved the evident Hermione/Ron chemistry in this movie. They are such an adorable and compatible pair. The Hermione/Harry friendship is also amazing. Both were great. 👏 I loved the Harry/Ron friendship as well. When he comes back and they both talk it over :) All the actors did AMAZING in this movie.
The film ended with an suspenseful cliffhanger. The whole film was just very intense, action packed, and kept you on your toes. Quite opposite to HBP. It makes us even more excited for the 2nd part coming out in July.
Best scenes in the film (Possible spoilers)
Harry and Hermione's dance - Their brother/sisterly relationshop was portrayed very well. This scene was adorable.

Dobby - The ten - fifteen minutes he was in the film were very good and touching. His death made me very teary 😭
Ron Destroying the Locket - Very very very good on Rubert's part. His emotions during the scene in which the locket tries to lie to him and overcome him were really well taken.
George interrupting Ginny and Harry - George's "Good morning" as they are kissing. Everyone already mentioned it, but it was hilarious 😆
Hedwig's Death - Very sad 😭
Bathilda Bagshot/Nagini - The snake was really scary and intense. All the Nagini scenes were great.
Xenophilius Lovegood - This scene was also amazing. The explanation and visual of the tale of the three brothers was interesting and informative.
Just one thing though is that those who haven't read the books wouldn't really understand the movie too well. They use lots of terms that only those who read the books would really understand. Even I had trouble refreshing my memory 😆
My rating - 9/10
-------------------------------
I was upset that they cut out Luna's room. I love Luna (fav character) so that made me sad. I was also looking forward to Ron/Harry hug after Ron destroys the locket. I wish they had also focused on the Ron and Harry friendship in this movie, not just Harry/Hermione friendship.
Other things - they explained almost nothing about Dumbledore's past, Kreacher's Tale, or Lupin's arguement at the Grimmauld Place =(
