Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort in GOF) was featured in today's edition of The New York Times in a highly complimentary article discussing his many roles in films this year. The Times writes:
He made a much better calculation when he said yes to playing Voldemort, and not only because the "Harry Potter" franchise is huge. He turns Voldemort into a real character. He may have a serpentine shaved head, sickly white skin and narrow slits where his nose has been digitally replaced. But he also has an aura of evil that comes from within, of wounded pride turned into vengeance and directed against Harry, the boy who thwarted him. There is a direct line running to Voldemort from Mr. Fiennes's role in "Red Dragon," as the killer with a gleam in his eye that is not conspicuously lethal until it's too late.
