If you can't act well in silence and convey emotions through that - you very much need screen presence to carry that off, and even if your demeanor is suppose to be emotionless/icy then your dialogue delivery needs to add that punch to it but here i do not find any of these things. That's why i feel the acting is let down overall.

Even in the Tu Kahe Toh song, lack of screen presence... I knew i didn't have problem with Vatsal because he has screen presence and also Nikita is good too (and i only seen her in that show on Life Ok few years back).

If he is new in this industry, then I will say he can't act properly but NO... I have seen him in a dozen movies...
But in RR character, he can't get much dialogues... Moreover, at the time of arresting, everyone becomes startled but he doesn't... He remains emotionless as if nothing is happened...

Also I haven't seen his shrewd face at the time of discussing business deal w8 his father... He just smirks a little... His eyes are shinning all time... But don't know why I think Gurmeet, Barun, Harshad can do this role better than him...

But hope 4 the best... He will do his job better... Because i think somehow he can't potray RR role...

It's easy to judge Zayed and declare him as a bad actor coz he is a Bollywood actor who is doing television. This has happened before. This will happen again.
I don't think that Zayed is terrible.Infact he is far from it.He is portraying Ranvir as it should be portrayed.Ranvir is a cold, calculative,Machiavellian man.He is an introvert and he doesn't express his feelings. What are we expecting him to do?? Cry or show an overdose of expressions? He is behaving as Ranvir would behave. Therefore I think Zayed is doing a great job.Ranvir is not like any other typical Gul hero who have nothing to do apart from romancing the FL.There is more to his character.Speaking of screenpresence, many have found him impressive and powerful as RR,so I guess it's a matter of opinion.

Both Vatsal and Zayed fit the requirements of their respective characters.Kabir is over expressive and dramatic whereas Ranvir is calm and restrained.TBH I don't think any Gul Khan hero would have done a better job than these two.

The two characters are chalk and cheese. One wears his heart on his sleeve and the other...we dont even know if he has a heart?

So far Zayed has not impressed me a lot, but neither has he disappointed me. Vatsal I feel is portraying Kabir just as he should be. Loud, obnoxious, OTT but still semi-likable. He also has his own level of intrigue. We are left wondering if he is as obvious as he makes himself appear? Ranvir on the other hand seems to show less, but there is more going on which we have to wait to see.

One thing is clear he is very calculating. He doesnt say he wants to bring Anchal down, but that is what he wants to do. Kabir says it, and he will do it too. At least he will try!

But Zayed? Jury is still out for me. I wont draw a conclusion right now.

@bold,I don't think Kabir was hurt at that moment. It was evident that he was just acting. And even RR didn't look serious when he accused Kabir. The way both the bros ended up laughing over the matter made me feel as if the entire,'You accused me.I am so hurt' thing was a game.

Last week I would have agreed with you but the guy is making an effort and it shows. On day 1 I was ready to write him and this show off, but he's gotten a lot better in the span of just 1 week.

He isn't great and the other actors around him are doing a lot better than he is, but he has improved quite a bit and he can only go up from here.

Plus he's doing what matches his character. Ranvir is one who doesn't show his emotions albeit when he's alone or with Kabir, but even with Kabir there's a certain restriction to the emotions. Zayed is doing that well. Dialogue wise he can improve a bit. Some of his dialogues don't have the punch they should have, but overall he's improved.

Same with all the other actors. Vatsal was very OTT at the beginning, but he's now found a comfortable spot. The court scene from last week and on he's done really good with the overplayed drama, but not OTT. Nikita seemed to lack punch in scenes, but now she's upped her game especially when opposite Vatsal which require the most facial changes because their fight is played out in words and facial expressions.

Right Ashi, that blame game scene dint seem to be genuine(love) from both brothers. It seemed like they both were playing some sort of game.
Ranveer was blaming or tried to provoke the Kabir n Kabir on the other hand did so much melodrama by giving his gun to Ranveer to shoot.

Completely agree

it is completely a matter of perspective

I think Zayed has amazing screen presence...he has an aura, charm and charisma.

Ranvir is not someone who will express easily...He doesn't express through his face or actions but through his art...either through his harmonica or through his paintings.

He is not expressive...he is constantly planning and plotting in his mind but that will never reflect on his face...He is as cool as ice on the exterior while a storm is hidden beneath the surface...He is a manipulator and schemer and that is how they are supposed to act...they don't emote too much.

Every actor has a way of expressing and portraying a character...I don't think it is right to compare two actors at all...Zayed is perfect for this role...He brings a certain charm and freshness and subtlety to his role which makes RR more intriguing

Even I don't think any Gul hero will be able to justify this role ,i think they are too over the top and to typical done to death acting. (sorry no offence , just my personal opinion 😊)

I think Zayed is apt for the role and he certainly will improve😊 In fact he has in this one week itself...Yes diagoues can be delivered in a more powerful way but then even Vaty and Niki , and Sheeba ji can improve as well..I think overall all complement each other.

P.S. - if not Zayed then none of the typical TV faces would have done justice to this role...I think if i have to choose then I think Anurag Sinha is someone who could have played this role and probably would have nailed it too😊

for me Zayed is apt as RR
