Inder and Barkha's conversation

That was really good, I was giggling as I was hearing them conversing, all of Barkha's excuses trying to hide from her husband right, she's stuck in the room not going anyway because of Nikhil, blaming him completely for not introducing her to everyone, but we all know that if she received her daughter-in-law properly she could have invited their society people the following day after she arrived and introduced her, even had a get together for her to meet everyone, but they never wanted that, but Inder did manage to guess exactly the reason she was inviting these people and his right, trying to embarrass Nikhil into taking her back to the village won't work because if he was the kind to care he wouldn't have married her in front of his friends (same age group) meeting friends of his parents won't matter to him as he will not care about their opinion as he doesn't socialise with them rather only the younger crowd.
So Barkha says she is taking the initiative now to introduce Laajo to their society friends, the town's gossip no less 😆, which is a step forward for Laajo actually as now she will be introduced when they see her outside of the house they can help her if she requires help to get back home or even in a shop if all know her they can extend her credit as a daughter-in-law of the house, what other benefits are they on everyone in society knowing about her marriage? Perhaps Ishana also will give up completely on Nikhil if everyone is aware of his marriage and has met the girl.

I actually forgot today was Friday oh no cliff hanger we have to wait until Monday to know what will happen, but I'm pretty sure Nikhil will decide not to bring Laajo to meet the Ahuja's. Before I saw them i wanted her to be introduced but when I head what they had to say and the way they are, I definitely don't want them to meet her right now.

Great post Nafisa and this was my favourite part of the episode too! I was laughing at Barka's antics, the way she tried to "switch" everything around and blame Inder was too funny😆. And you could actually see her doing her quick thinking when Inder started catching on to her game plan😆😉.

And the funniest line for me today was from Nani:

"Oh my baby is so smart...God Bless ME"🤣🤣🤣

This Nani is hilarious, the way she kept smiling during tea time with the Ahuja's and the way she kept saying Lajwantiii 😆😆

They were having the time of their lives enjoying themselves, it was wicked but I equally became like Nani in that scene, it's funny also how Barkha is the one that didn't want her seen in the first place by anyone, but now she's using that to get rid of her, to watch her son squirm in embarrassment. Having seen already the snickering of the Ahuja's son at Laajo's name, they are proper relishing their game. It's going to backfire on Monday, the gossips will leave the house with the opinion that Laajo is a snob like them.

@bold: Amazing isn't it, what lengths she'll go to to reach her objective? I'm surprised though that she thinks that in some way she'll be spared from humiliation/embarrassment. I mean if they embarrass Laajo, indirectly that will reflect on Barka too. When people make fun her she may be labelled as Barka's DIL...I understand that she can use as her defense that they had no choice in the matter but still, people being people will link her name with Laajo's as well. I would love to see it all backfire on the 2 of them😃

I don't think she has that sort of pride in her family to maintain decorum to outsiders, what happened at the Sangeet, she went upstairs first and was unable to diffuse the situation upstairs and brought the matter in-front of everyone, similarly the way Sid's relationship with Ayesha broke off she gave that lame excuse to the Ahuja's when I'm sure by now the truth is known already in their community, they just don't know who the girl was that Sid left the Sangeet and followed upstairs. Before that she left the house when the wedding preparations were in full swing leaving everything in Shaila's hands to manage, okay she is a competent person but a mother of the bride needs to oversee all the arrangements for her only daughters wedding you don't leave in a strop "to hell with the wedding I don't care I'm fed up with my family members". No adult parent says, during her daughters wedding preps, I'm tired of my kids I'm taking off you are on your own, it's just not right, that means she didn't care if things went wrong for Ayesha's wedding she prioritised her own feelings rather then Ayesha's big day.

@bold: And that there defines Barka to a "T"...Had she thought of someone other than herself she wouldn't be in her current predicament (or even if circumstances still had it so that LaKhil ended up marrying, she would be able to accept it and move on). Had she not thought of herself only when her son died she would still have a relationship with her younger son. It wasn't as if she was the only one who lost someone. A father lost his son, A brother lost his brother, a sister lost her brother, grandparents lost their grandson etc, etc. She didn't stop to "think" before blaming an 11 year old for the death of his older brother, the only thing she thought of was her pain, her loss (granted she could have said that without thinking in her grief but any "normal, non-self-serving mom" would have realized her mistake and tried to make amends). But nope...she's still blaming Nikhil for it...This is her personality so it shouldn't come as a shock I guess when she only thinks of herself...
