Ranveer Singh marks Dhurandhar success with Vikas Khanna, Deepika Padukone tries modak for first time

Ranveer Singh recently celebrated the success of his film Dhurandhar with chef Vikas Khanna during a vacation in New York City with wife Deepika Padukone. The couple visited Khanna’s acclaimed restaurant, Bungalow, where the actor was fed a modak by the chef, while Deepika tried the traditional sweet for the first time.

Dhurandhar, released on December 5, has grossed Rs 1,128 crore globally and become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in India. Despite the massive success, Ranveer kept a low profile and chose to mark the achievement quietly with his family and friends.

In a video shared by Vikas Khanna on Instagram, Ranveer is seen sharing a hug with the chef after being offered a modak. The clip captures a light-hearted moment as Deepika also receives a modak from Vikas and attempts to make one herself for the first time. The chef wrote in his caption, “This has to be the most blessed end to 2025 — a new beginning in honor of India. Team Bungalow had the privilege of celebrating with Ranveer & Deepika her first modak. Celebrating DHURANDHAR — standing taller than any film in the world.”

Fans also spotted Ranveer in New York recently. Instagram user Chetna Sharda shared pictures of the actor smiling and posing with fans. In another photo, Deepika looked cheerful standing beside Ranveer’s sister, Ritika Bhavnani. On her Instagram story, Deepika praised the film, writing, “Dhurandhar has been watched and is worth every minute of those 3.34 hours! So do yourselves a favour and get to a cinema hall NOW! So incredibly proud of you @ranveersingh. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew!”

The visit to Bungalow reflected a mix of personal and professional celebration for the couple. Modaks, traditionally associated with festive joy, added a symbolic touch to the moment, marking both the success of Dhurandhar and the end of 2025 on a high note.
