Awdesh and Arpitha were on a walk…on the banks of the lake…the sun rested slowly…A batch of dark clouds passed by…The atmosphere changed all of a sudden…Awdesh watched Arpitha as they walked together…His dream has come true…He has nothing to worry for now…all that he has to think about was his life and with Arpitha in it…Awdesh continuously stared at her…Arpitha completely unaware of his thoughts enjoyed his company in the pleasant atmosphere…She loved silence and peace…Free and far away from civilization, Arpitha treasured every moment in her heart…These were the best days of her life…Arpitha turned to awdesh and watching him stare at her, she smiled in shyness…She turned around and started to walk away…Awdesh pulled her towards him and held her in his arms…Arpitha's heart beat increased…She looked at him…his eyes spoke to her's…They were searching for something…

All the dark clouds left except for a family of 4…They were also lost…The papa cloud tried to figure out but, couldn't find his fellow clouds…Mama cloud started her taunt…for which papa cloud grew ferocious and a quarrel started…seeing their parents fight…The children clouds started to cry…Hearing their children cry, mama hugged them and burst out…

Awdesh and Arpitha were still in each other's hug…

Awdesh—"I am waiting for your answer Arpitha…"

Arpitha looked at him in confusion…What answer you want…Arpitha thought hard and understood very well what he referred to…

Arpitha (thinking to herself)—"do I need to tell you that I love you…Awdesh ji I love you to the core…And will always love you till the end of time and even beyond it…"

Awdesh—"I want to listen it from you Arpitha…"

Arpitha lowered her sight in shyness and before she could respond…the tears of the clouds reached ground and it started to rain heavily…Off course it would…as Papa cloud also started crying with the family…

Awdesh and Arpitha ran towards the cottage…Reaching the cottage they were almost drenched from head to toe…Arpitha saw herself and the dress sticked to her body revealing her curved physique…She raised her eye and saw awdesh was looking the other side…Arpitha was moved to his gentlemanly behavior…She received all the respect she always wanted…Her eyes started to cry in happiness…

Awdesh—"Maybe you will find some dry clothes in the cupboard…"

Arpitha moved inside in search of some clothes… But she hardly found any…She checked in all the cupboards and finally found one old sari packed in a cover…Arpitha changed into it and let her dress dry on the bed…she was really pleased to find it… It was very beautiful…She ran her fingers down into the cupboard and found a blanket…It was all dusty…She waved it in the air hard to dust it…Her attempts succeeded…

Arpitha came out of her room with the blanket in her hand…

Arpitha—"Awdesh ji…I found this…"

Awdesh didn't hear her…Arpitha stood silent…Her eyes watched him lit the fireplace… his shirt was left to dry on the chair…Awdesh carried a piece of dry wood and threw it in the fire…His shirtless attire made her feel strange…She saw him in a similar fashion earlier also at the haweli but never felt this way…controlling her thoughts Arpitha scolded herself for such a stupid thought…she lowered her sight and started to look at the ground…but her heart continuously wanted to watch him…

An evil Arpitha came out from her head…

Evil Arpitha—"what's wrong…these thoughts are common…go on baby look at him…" and smiled evilly…

Angelic Arpitha—"no Arpitha…its bad manners…"

Evil Arpitha—"what's bad…I mean you love him and so does he…"

Angelic Arpitha—"even if you love him…its wrong…"

Evil Arpitha—"no its not…"

Angelic Arpitha—"yes it is…"

Arpitha shook her head shooing of her inner voices to rest for a while…Arpitha lifted her eye lid and found awdesh was not in her vicinity…she looked around and still couldn't find him…It thundered and still continued raining…The mama and papa clouds still fought on getting lost…

Arpitha went near the fire place and sat down rubbing her hands…She waited for him and slowly slipped off into sleep leaning to the chair…Awdesh came in with more dry wood…Awdesh knew that the nights could get colder…Outside as it rained, there would be no dry wood...so he went inside the store room and broke an old chair to gather some dry wood…as he came in he saw her already fast asleep…Awdesh put aside the wood and came closer to her...Arpitha moved her eyeballs in irritation of a few strands of hair that fell on her eyes…Awdesh blew warm air gently on her face sending her hair to fly back…Arpitha smiled to the warmth…she continued sleeping peacefully…Awdesh lifted her in his hands and moved her to the bed…

Awdesh brought the blanket that Arpitha found and spread it over her…Awdesh moved back to sleep in the chair…when Arpitha started to murmur something in her sleep…

Arpitha—"Awdesh ji…"

Awdesh came closer and sat beside her…Arpitha hugged the blanket tight and smiled…Awdesh laughed at her and ran his fingers across her cheek…Arpitha still deep in her sleep caught his hand with both of her's and placed it under her cheek…awdesh didn't want to disturb her in her sleep…he didn't want to pull his hand back…in fact he liked being close to her…her presence made him feel comfortable…she is out his sight even for a while he went restless…he knew she loved him equally…but wanted to hear it from her…

Awdesh (whispers)—"I love you Arpitha…"

Arpitha smiled in her sleep and pulled his hand further in…Awdesh came closer and kissed her cheek endearingly…

Awdesh (whispers)—"I'll wait for your answer… good night princess"

Arpitha woke up drowsily…She could hear the birds tweet and sing the good morning tunes…with her eyes still closed she felt her nose itchy…Arpitha held the pillow and rubbed her nose against it…The pillow wasn't soft…It was hard and…skinny…Arpitha opened her eyes and was shocked to see that it wasn't the pillow that she was hugging…It was awdesh and he is asleep on the bed with her…leaning back…Arpitha remembered herself at the fire place…She also remembered him carrying her…

Arpitha (whispers)—"but I thought that…it was…it was a dream…"

Arpitha smiled at herself…looking back at him she admired his manly attire…He looked no less to any prince…Arpitha went closer and hugged him with her head on his chest…

Arpitha (whispers)—"so…it wasn't a dream…you are everything to me awdesh ji…how better can I tell you than like this…"

Arpitha broke the hug while awdesh still lied in the bed sleeping…Arpitha watched him sleep like a child…Arpitha smiled at him and ran her fingers in his hair…she hugged him again…

Arpitha (shy)—"I…I…LOVE YOU awdesh ji…"

Awdesh moved his hands and enveloped her in his arms…

Awdesh—"I LOVE YOU too Arpitha…"

Arpitha opened her mouth in a shock…So he wasn't asleep…She felt the shiver of happiness run along her spine…She tried to free herself from his hug …Succeeding, Arpitha stepped out of the bed and ran towards the door and stood there breathing heavily…

Awdesh stepped slowly towards her and caught hold of her from behind…his hand on her waist tickled Arpitha…and she turned around facing him…awdesh examined her face much closely…his heart's desire to hear her heart's state came true…she also loved him…nothing is going to stop him now from making her his…Awdesh passionately pulled her much closer to him…Arpitha sensed it and her heart beat increased…she lowered her face not able to look at him…

Awdesh lifted her chin and touched her lips with his…

Awdesh—"you are mine forever...and ever"

Arpitha saw that his words are also reflected in his eyes…She hugged him trying to tell that she also wanted to be his and only his…for ever and ever…Awdesh broke the hug and let her free…Arpitha held her hands near her heart and stood near the door motionless…Awdesh watched her to his heart's desire…Arpitha looked back into his eyes and left the room…

Awdesh smiled…He himself didn't believe in what he just did…He hardly spoke to any woman and today he had actually made someone his own…from heart…He didn't want the moment to die…he went behind Arpitha…

Arpitha sat down in the chair near the fire place folding her hands and smiled at the moment she just lived…Arpitha had her first true love kiss…just as she wanted…everything was perfect…Awdesh came in and took his shirt from the chair that he left last night to dry…wearing it back, awdesh watched Arpitha was deep in her thoughts…

Awdesh went near her and pinched her hard on her hand…

Arpitha—"ouch…………that hurts…"

Awdesh (teasing note)—"Madam, I don't want you to consider this also as a dream, like you did last night…"

Arpitha opened up her eyes wide in shock…and smiled surprisingly at his act…noticing her watch him without a word…

Awdesh (teasing)—"what happened…? Do you want me to pinch you again or are you sure this is not a dream…hmmm"

Arpitha jumped out of her chair and searched for something to hit him…Identifying that Arpitha is ready to act back awdesh ran away from her and exited the house smiling…He liked being chased…Arpitha ran behind him on the banks of the lake and hit her leg against a small stone, but it hurted her lots…Awdesh turned around and finding her sit down with pain, he hurried back to her…

Arpitha (holding her leg)—"ahh…"

Awdesh came near her and looked at her worried…He sat down and rubbed the leg trying to sooth down the pain…Arpitha pinches him back on his hand…and winks…Awdesh understood that she wasn't hurt…It was actually a plan…

Awdesh's face turns expressionless…He stands up…Arpitha didn't expect this reaction from him…

Arpitha (standing up)—"Awdesh ji…am…I was just kidding…I…I…"

Awdesh turns around and pulls her closer…Smiling gently he goes near her ear…

Awdesh—"I know…"

Arpitha (smiling)—"Leave me awdesh ji…"

Arpitha struggles in his arms…But she enjoyed struggling in his arms…Awdesh nods his head in a no smiling at the struggling Arpitha…Arpitha makes a pleading face…Awdesh sets her free…Arpitha walks away…

Awdesh—"o.k. go…remember I won't come back…I am also going…"

Arpitha still turned away from him walking to the cottage, smiles…She turns around to face awdesh and waves her hand…

Arpitha—"bye…bye"

Awdesh—"I am really going o.k.…."

Arpitha nods her head…and taps her leg waiting for him to go…Awdesh makes an innocent face…He thought that she would stop him and they would get much closer…but seeing his plan not at all working, awdesh stood searching for some other idea…

Arpitha (teasing)—"what happened? Did you forget the route…Shall I help you…"

Awdesh understood that she was back firing…

Awdesh (smiling)—"wait …you…"

And starts running behind her…When from somewhere a bullet was shot and pierced into the flesh and sent out the blood…his sight started to blur…the world around him started to faint its color…Awdesh was shot in his abdomen…Arpitha turned around in fright and wished all this to be her worst nightmare and not reality…Awdesh was on the ground trying hard to breath…Arpitha stood motionless…it was true…

RV came out of the bushes and held arpitha's hand assuring that she would be alright and tried to console her…

Arpitha (sobbing)—"Bhayya…Awdesh ji…"

RV—"it's all over Arpitha…I am with you now…I have shot him…he will not hurt you any more…"

Arpitha looked at him in hatred…She ran down to awdesh and pulled his head into her lap and cried out her heart…

Arpitha—"Awdesh ji…Please wake up…I can't live without you…Please awdesh ji…open your eyes and see me …I love you awdesh ji…don't you dare leave me…"

RV stood completely confused…When he reached there tracing them hard in the forest, awdesh was behind her while Arpitha ran away…He mistook the scenario and shot awdesh…

Awdesh opened his eyes slowly…The bullet hurted him…

Awdesh—"ah…I told you Na…I will go away…"

Arpitha (crying)—"No awdesh ji…I won't let you…no...You can't…you know I won't live without you…"

Awdesh places the blood stained finger on her lips…

Awdesh—"shhhhh…more than the bullet, your tears are hurting me Arpitha…"

He wipes away the tears from her face…and holds his stomach in pain…

Arpitha—"Awdesh ji…look at me…open your eyes…Please…no…"

Awdesh closed his eyes slowly with Arpitha's picture captured in his eyeball...
