Anyways, I caught the aftermath of DV, everyone refusing to eat, Dai Baa telling Gulaal to stand strong and Dushyant's cries of despair (Sushant nailed it!)

Gulaal investigates Vasant's death and she closes in on knowing the real culprit, Dushyant kidnaps her and ties her with bad intentions but loses in front of Gulaal's courage, determination and is ashamed when Gulaal shows him the mirror, lets Gulaal go. Paan Baa worried about Gulaal and goes in search of her and finds Gulaal crying in the temple. A worried Paan Baa asks Gulaal what was the matter as a guilty and frightened Dushyant looks on. Gulaal doesn't reveal about Dushyant's doings and tells that she was missing Vasant.A guilt ridden Dushyant hands Gulaal the evidence which wud get him the sentence and tells that frm now on thread of life is in Gulaal's hand and she cud cut in when she feels like it. Kesar requests Gulaal to help in his School's play. Gulaal denies at first but fuelled by the Kesar's words that Vasant used to do it when he was alive, Gulaal agrees. Meanwhile, Jamna Kaki coaxes Paan Baa to confront Rewa about what had actually happened between her and her ex-fionce. Paan Baa asks Rewa and Rewa confides in what the guy had attempted on her. Panicked that her daughter might never get married as Rewa's ex-fionce would try to trash Rewa's reputaion, Paan Baa gives in to Jamna's suggestion that they should apologize to the guy's family for Gulaal hitting him and request him to marry Rewa. Gulaal interferes and tells that Paan Baa isn't thinking straight at the moment and this would only ruin Rewa's life. Paan Baa isn't convinced and plans to meet the guy's family without Gulaal knowing about it and calls up the guy's family. The guy's father DhanjiBhai tells that he has a condition and that they shud keep Gulaal out of it. Devika confides in Dushyant abt every body hiding the meeting from Gulaal. Dushyant, now a changed man tells Gulaal abt it and adds that he doesn't trust Dhanji Bhai's intentions. Both leave to stop Paan Baa ASAP! Dhanji Bhai tells that Pann Baa will hav to rub her nose on his shoes and ask for forgiveness and then only the marriage will be possible. Everyone objects but Paan Baa tells that she is willing to do it for her daughter. As Paan Baa is about to touch her nose, Gulaal arrives there and keeps her hand below Paan Baa's nose, saving her from humiliation.

Serial update (upto Tuesday):

Gulaal convinces PaanBa not to give away her daughter to such a family who hav no respect for people whatsoever. Rewa also says that if any trouble happens in the future, her Vasant Bha is here (indicating Gulaal). The preparations for the drama start, Kesar is not made the main character(Krishna). Kesar is annoyed by the selection and shouts at Gulaal. Gulaal tries to pacify him but Kesar starts trashing the kitchen in anger. Gulaal slaps Kesar as he might have burnt his hands while trashing the kitchen. Kesar is offended that Gulaal slapped him and tells that he won't ever talk to her. Meanwhile, Gulaal's brother, Yogesh visits Gulaal with the news that he had passed the examination and now he will be appointed a Govt. job. Jamna Kaki taunts Rewa as her marriage is broken. Yogesh consoles Rewa and tries to cheer her up that goods things will come in life. Jamna Kaki is worried that her daughter Devika will not get married unless Rewa gets married so, she asks the Pandit to bring Rewa marriage proposals of any kind of guy. The Pandit tells her that he can get Rewa the marriage proposals of old men or people trying for second marriage and so on. Jamna agrees while Devika overhears this and confronts her mother accusing her of double standards while coming to her daughter and wishes tells that she wud only understand when such proposals come for Devika. Jamna slaps her and tells not to tell anyone. Devika goes to Paan Ba and tells her not to accept any of the marriage proposals that Jamna comes up with. Paan Baa refuses the marriage proposals standing up for Rewa and tells that she is sure that the right person will come around in time and tells Rewa not to be put down by talks from people like Jamna. Gulal and Yogesh talk abt Yogesh's job that how Yogesh had to choose between Talsagra and Bhuj but chose Talsagra instead. Gulaal tells Yogesh that Bhuj wud hav opened new opportunities for him but Yogesh replied that Gulaal is of utmost importance to him and he wants to be around her now as he wasn't with her when all the problems occured in her life. Gulaal is touched as Yogesh informs that Revji and Poonma Baa will be shifting to Talsagra with him as he starts his job here. Paan Ba and Daibaa discuss Kesar's growing anger which Paan Baa doesn't find normal for his age. Dai baa pacifies Paan Baa saying that Kesar really wanted to be the main lead, Krishna as he in real life is also like Krishna where Paan Baa is Devki and Gulaal is Yashoda for him[But that is strictly Dai Baa's view]. Talli enters the house and demands that she be made Radha. Gulaal tells that she might be a deserving candidate bt since she was late to the selection, she will not be playing Radha. Kesar is angry on Gulaal and asks Rewa to accompany him to school. Everyone tries to make Kesar forgive Gulaal but he doesn't pay heed and drags Rewa with him. In the school, Talli tells Kesar that she has a plan and if he helps her both can play the main leads, Radha and Krishna.Kesar agrees. Kesar and Talli lie that exams will be held earlier and people involved in the play wud not get tym to study and sre sure to fail. The students selected as the main leads give up their roles in fear. After the initially selected students deny, Gulaal turns to Kesar and Talli for the lead roles telling Devika that Kesar and Talli look good together [The one and only Kesar-Talli shipper🤢 Gullu Maiyya]. Some students come and inform Gulaal abt Kesar and Talli's lies which makes Gulaal angry. Gulaal scolds both Kesar and Talli condemning their behavior . Gulaal tells that she can't go back on her promise so Kesar and Talli will play the lead roles but Gulaal herself won't be involved in the play anymore.

Absolutely, Gulaal had so much of continuity for an Indian Serial. Like Kesar's habit of writing to ease off his mind- the writing "Mujhe maaf kar do" coinciding with just plain "Gulaal" which Kesar wrote after Gulaal left the house and had no intentions of coming back ever again- or the best examples being the letters which he wrote to ease off his mind when he was in the hostel. And now that I am watching the rerun, I can't help but notice the similarity in expressions of Ali and Neil, it might be a coincidence but if its something Neil worked on, then that's just amazing.

Actually there are so many parallels that can be drawn post and pre leap which actually makes u think that the writers had it all planned out during the inception of the story and not just something thrown carelessly in to fill up the episode.
