^^ Tell me about it 😆 I'd been obsessing with the thought so much in my head that when I sat at it, I did what I did in a couple hours - a record time for me - and a part of my impatience to not do the whole thing was from how many days in advance I'd been fussing with the idea in my head 😆

My editing is obviously not as good as yours and I guess a lot of the scenes ended up being common with yours and Mini's VM...ah well.

^^ Dude, that's kinda inevitable - there those CLASSIC Kesar scenes that one just has to use! I was telling Mini as much, how I realized after the more recent watch that part of our scenes were common - like a given!

It was unintentional but I ended up using more of the letters scenes...somehow it just shifted that way...I really wanted to use that ending shot of his tears so I was glad I fit that in somehow.

You know the whole idea of "bebasi ka bayaan" is just SO about Kesar's letters - it was hard to leave what was left! I was debating forever over which letter to go with - because really, all his letters have been some version of "bayaan" or the other of his "bebasi" - and I personally REALLY wanted to use the letter for her birthday with the bangles scene - but didn't use it in the end, cause I'd give an outright blunt and brash edge to Kesar's pre-reform depiction in the vid...

btw - I forgot to mention this on the vid, I also SUPER loved the scene you used of Kesar crushing the letter for the "hasrat nichod du" line - in my head I'd always thought of the scene I used as perfect - the line just reminded me of it! - but when I was watching yours I realized just how perfect that letter scene is as well ... which is where we all agree this song is deserving of several VM versions! Everyone will have some unique takes on the lines and scenes in sync!

I think to date I haven't been able to use the pareshani scene well in any scene...it frustrates me...I think cuz the DIALOGUES in that scene are a huge part of it's genius and they can't be incorporated into a VM usually. I also wanted to use the "Varna kya" Gulaal confrontation ke scenes par woh fit nahin huye...lol

^^ True, true! I once had the far fetched idea of ripping the "audio" of the pareshani scene - like the dialogue and its BG tunes - and making a video with my own mix of GK scenes ☺️ because no song fits them ENTIRELY, even yet! Like the one I did on that ZNMD verse? I was thinking of doing that one the Pareshani scene dialogues once - but never got around to it! The writing of this show has always been its one by itself singular feat - amidst all other great things about it...

Overall not really happy with the verse I wanted to use...I think I didn't capture the whole simmering/burning passion in that portion well...but ah well...

I really think half of that thought comes from making a 3rd version. You've got 2 fresh in your head and its so hard to put aside those scenes already there, and spin off another version - and I'm not being nice to you, you should know that! 😆 I really think having a go at a done song is harder than a fresh take - if I'd remembered Mini's I'd probably have shied away from trying! and I stil stick to the bits I really liked in the last verse you tried. The sulagana to the high tempo bebasi was fantastic! 👏
