Gulaal is almost amused at him
Exactly! I think there is a flickering nano second of debate to feeling hurt by his curt manner, but she takes no time brushing it off as elemental Kesar - nakhre karke bada na banta fire, to Kesuda kaisa! 😆
Sirf Rohan?
<--- this was classic! Kesar is such a boy when he chooses to remain tight lipped and strictly gauging only, but can't help butt in with his in your face statements! Matlab, ghuma firaakar baat karna to aata hi nahi, bas seedhe de maaro! 😆 The 'aur tu' in that sense, is something atypical and unique of Kesar. When we've seen those countless couples where this 'and you' moment goes unspoken - sometimes in a cheesy way, sometimes in poignant ways - Kesar will say it, just like that.
Ofcourse not...Gulaal has to list out the rest of the family in sequence...MB, PB, Reva, Devika, Talli, the cows...:P
(include Talli in the cows. For good measure. Her smiles in the Puja made me gag, I'm not even kidding - but Reemz gets to deal with that part tomorrow 😆 )
And she transitions to that "dhatt" to make it a bit flippant but you can see her hurt shining in her eyes
I LOVE this cap! Mansi is phenomenal here - one of her best sulky/admonishing looks ever! She is a kid and an adult all at once!
I find this bit fascinating for how closely
Kesar is watching every expression on her face as she doesn't look at him for a bit and turns away but still you can sense how closely he's listening to every cadence in her tone almost as if he can SEE the tears even as she tries to hide them... <---- 👏 Word Nur!
And awww! I love this one! I love the way he can't help that hint of a smile and her in vain discrete wiping of tear! This is truly an early rare glimpse of the Kesar we will see much later - where he has an edge over Gulaal. Just for this second - he's that Kesar from post reform times, when he could sense and tell the slightest variation in Gulaal, know her subtlest nuances like the back of his hand! I like to think there is a fond emotion to this hint of expression on his face - again, like the Kesar we see in post reform time.
And Gulaal's fumbles and fidgeting - new traits from this decade that he has not seen her. He could have read 'suspicion' into her 'nervous' gestures, but I think for the seconds that her back is on him, he's only feeling fond - and continues to be studying of her slightest changes of course!
