Gulaal reached home and saw that the house was empty, there was a note on the table written by her mother that her father was unwell and had been rushed to hospital, Gulaal raced to the hospital, praying with all her heart that her father was fine.

"gulaal tu kahan thi" said her mother breaking into her arms.

"paapa kahan hai" gulaal said breathlessly . "andar mujhe koi kuch nahi bata raha ".said her mother crying

"main dekhti hoon" said gulaal and went through the white doors.

"inhe bohot he major heartattack hua hai, aap please bahir wait kijeye". gulaal was about to leave when her father grabbed her paloo, "paapa aap theek hoh, yeh kya hogaya" and she started weeping.

"g...g...gulaal beta, mujhe lagta hai ke mera vakt agaya hai, tum tum mujhe ek vaada doh".

"paapa, aap aisa mat kahiye aap theek hojayenge".

"shhh gulaal beti meri baat dyaan se suno, mein tujse ek vaada chata hoon" he said softly.

"paapa pehle aap theek hojaye, phir jo aap chahenge" she said tear's rolling down her eyes.

"nahi suno beta, mein chahta hoon ke joh bhi hojaye, tum Vasant ke saath apna sansaar basa lena, main nahi chahta ke mere baad tumhari maa aur tumhe koi bhi takleef uthani pare aur vasant se accha jeevan saathi tumhe kahi nahi milega" and his breathing started to become heavier, "tum maano gi na gulaal, aaj subha hi meri motaba se baat hui thi aur humne shaadi ki tareek, doh hafte baad taay ki hai""

"tujhe itna hai, toh tu hi shaadi kar le na" said vasant with a angered look on his face, "main vaise bhi soch raha hoon, shaayad mujhe yeh shaadi nahi karni chahiye, vaise bhi mujhe, abhi apne career par dyaan dena chahiye, aur waise bhi nirja itni sunder nahi hai. lekin phir main sochta hoon ki voh sari property joh uske paapa peeche chor ge jaa rahe hain uska kya hoga" he said with a evil look on his face," abhi hum jaa rahe hain, aur haan maa se kuch mat kehna iss bare mein".

kesar stared stunned, how could his brother think about spoiling a girl's life like that.
