I'm not sure if we will get light GK moments *sigh*...if Manasi is currently shooting with Rahil for the ME then all signs point to the realization happening in the ME only and probably in the latter half of that...at best, they might show a montage of happy GK moments as a final credits rolling thing? Dunno.

You know not to make this a Rahil v/s Neil thing in anyways...or a Vasant v/s Kesar thing...but honestly I dunno if it's the character or the actor...I just feel Neil is a far more expressive actor...especially the way he emotes the minutest of emotions with his eyes and his voice modulation is fantastic too...Rahil on the other hand has always played larger than life characters...as Vasant and even before that...I'm honestly not sure how much of a Kesar he could have really pulled off...Kesar is just so uniquely multi-layered *sigh*

Hey Jzee...sorry I missed this before...but yeah this is another possibility...in a sense the only overarching "secret" meant to tie up, right?? That prophecy will ultimately be proven true but I dunno if that is the way to tell Gulaal that Kesar is her destiny...again, it feels a bit of a cliche/contrived circumstance :S...As we all have discussed many times, the realization really needs to be about Kesar and Kesar only...free of the baggage of everything else...family, society, "rules" whatever

Oh for sure! ! Rahil maybe the senior one but judging on his past work, I really cannot imagine him to have pulled off Kesar so intricately. Neil really just blew the roof-top with his nuanced acting! You know the type that just stirs your soul? Rahil would have done a good job but Neil brought in that rawness too which was so necessary for Kesar's character.

Forgetting the actors for a bit... I just loved the character of Kesar way much more than of Vasant. Vasant was a perfect guy, too good to be true kinds... I may like to call him Lord Ram of today's date, while Kesar was the Krishna in the show...

Like you said Nur, he was so multi dimensional...and multi layered... with anguish, hate, and love.. and the mix of all the emotions in him...he adored MB, respected PB (at least the old one)... loved his sister.. and off course, was such a true passionate, mad lover to Gulaal.. he had so much more to portray as an actor than the oh-larger-than-life white image of Vasant.. I think someone did say on the forum that Kesar has shades of grey, and its sooo true...

its such a well known fact that bad boys are loved more than the good boys... I believe that at least..

Word, Reemz! Rawness is SO the word...and I guess that is why the acting seems so soul-stirring too...cuz it connects deeply with the audience...Kesar as a character has so much scope and Neil did full justice to that scope...it is that rawness and honestly very HUMAN qualities to Kesar that draw you to him and what Neil has done with his nuanced portrayal of Kesar's emotions has just taken things to another level...you literally feel everything the character feels...his pain, his hopelessness during his dark days, his yearning for Gulaal...even yearning is too small a word...you can literally feel how it is only Gulaal that sustains him, makes him mad, makes him sane...it is another thing to have that characteristic told to you on paper and to actually bring that out so finely with your acting is another thing.

You're very right about the Ram v/s Krishna comparison, Minks.

However I feel that Kesar was so much more than just the term "bad boy" which somehow just sounds cliched cuz "bad boys" are a dime a dozen on TV...there is a standard bad boy prototype that most shows use and it is SO typical.

Kesar is what I'd call HUMAN before anything...he had EVERY shade to him as a human being...he wasn't idealistic...he went through highs, through lows...we saw the best of him, we saw the worst of him...in all of this, he was never evil, he was never saint-like...he was human...and all human beings have shades of grey...I'm SO thankful to the writers of this show for sketching such a wonderful character👏

Neil has been a good combination of naive and experienced. He's not a fresher and he's not a senior accomplished artist only. To top that - he seems like a very receptive learner... going back all the way to his first interview, and his snippets now and then, Neil has always been vocal about how much scope he has had learning from the veterans on this team - and I always like to go back to what he said about Aamir's comment about remaining character, even if you're an extra on the screen... for a learner, or a newbie, to pick up on a subtle but absolute perfectionist tip like that - I think Neil knows exactly when and how and where to draw his lessons, and that really shows. While he has been good in Kesar's role from the word go - if we try and look at the variation and expansion of his expression base - not to mention the opportunities for it as his track progressed - he has really grown in the span of a few months. Its takes a very one dimensional commitment for a 'fast turning celeb' youngster like him to focus so learning and evolving every day!

Between Rahil and Neil - I think on that note, Neil is far more the open 'newer' guy on the block, who doesn't just focus on giving his best - but learning from the very talented actors around him and imbibing the tips to improve his best. Something, that humanly becomes harder for the senior artists after a while, I think... The more you've stayed around, worked with variation of roles and production houses, the more you tend to become your own style without making it a point to add more dimensions to it with passing time...
