Thanks for the clip. The cake cutting and feeding alone was worth it. 😛 And then Sushant Singh.
As for whether they know, I think they knew. Like you said, how could they have not with how quickly she found water, and how quickly Gulaal and Vasant got together. And notice they never really said that that this is a story of Gulaal and Vasant ... Exactly...that alone makes me feel that they always knew what the long term plan was...it was Kesar-Gulaal...they pitched it as the story of Gulaal which it is to a large extent as we see her journey and her influence on each character...but the fact that GV were brought together so quickly, married quickly and then Vasant died soon enough after that...there was always a long term plan...the water finding thing became redundant within a month and a half of the show starting😆
What's interesting in this show is the 'zindagi ke rang' focus they pitched the show as...the colors of life, in particular those faced by Gulaal.
I've always wondered if they had some idea from the the beginning that Neil Bhatt would be the grown up Kesar. I mean, I don't see this group of people embarking on it without first also making sure that they had the right actor for post leap Kesar.
If I were in their position, I would have had a few candidates already in mind, auditioned, etc. And when the time came, pick the best out of those still available out of the list. Yes, this would seem the most logical thing to do. But serials don't generally work like that. I'm not sure if they always had NB in mind for the role of Kesar...I wonder if they planned that far...they had Ali for a good 5 months in the show even though Kesar wasn't the central character for that portion...yes he had a major impact on the storyline and the GK hints were there all along...but it was only post leap with grown up Kesar that the story centered more fully around his angst...And wasn't NB still doing that Karol Bagh show at that point? He wouldn't really have been available to do this show then, right? ...I also doubt if they planned that well in advance...they probably started searching for actors to play grown up Kesar closer to the time of the leap and that's when things fell into place with NB being free of KB I guess...I can't picture which other actor would have suited the role, now that I think about it...Kesar is a very unique combination of boyishness and the grown up maturity of a man...to constantly keep the kid version of Kesar alive in all the glimpses is a difficult balance to maintain which NB seems to have pulled off very well. .
