When Kesar was too aggressive, we all said he should tone it down because that is not the way to get to Gulaal. Just because these intense scenes look 'hawt' does not mean you do a character assassination and make Kesar act all intense for no reason! His intensity translated in to something healthier for their relationship! If he carried on with angst then we would never have got GK to the point they are now.

I am seriously not looking for any ''hawt'' scenes because i know how their story is, and what they have to show and what not. But some SCENES can be done in its own manner like, eyelocks for little long but as love effection from gulaal towards kesar. Kesar knwing about gulaal's attraction towards him and then him trying to get her feel his presence, maybe he will be playing with her hair or something like that. Things that will make their scenes more sweet. Whatever they will do, will always be with intense because their body language is outstanding!
