Written Update June 28, 2011

Kesar defends Gulaal and tells Sudha that she cannot speak like that to Gulaal. Sudha comes in their face and yells angrily that if Gulaal had to return and live like Kesar's wife, what was the point in leaving or behaving like she was pure. She calls Gulaal a hypocrite and tells her that she has stolen someone's love, and she will never forgive her. Kesar asks why she is accusing Gulaal, if he didn't want to marry... Gulaal interrupts asking him not to fight her fight. Kesar insists as does Gulaal, and Kesar leaves from there frustrated. I wish Kesar had stayed and fought for Gulaal, a mature husband would have. He doesn't need to listen to everything she says. But I am sure he will learn - he is still so young. Jamna defends Gulaal, Sudha says fine then Gulaal can enter only when Sudha is not in the kitchen. Paan Baa says this is wrong, Sudha says that wrong things have happened despite Paan Baa's presence, Sudha is the older daughter-in-law and will have to take things in her hands now. Gulaal leaves. I won't be surprised if Sudha eats, drinks, and sleeps in the kitchen just to spite Gulaal.

On her way to the room she sees Kesar and turns to leave when he stops her and runs to her, he asks why she always misunderstands him, whatever he did was because he loved her and he wanted to keep her near him, she should not misunderstand his intentions. Gulaal says that she understands him correctly, he is officially her husband but she can never give him that place in her mind. Kesar has tears in his eyes and feels very hurt hearing that. Gulaal continues that she was alone before without Vasant, and she is still alone with Kesar, and she will always be alone. Kesar feels very bad, and tells her that fine, if seeing him and being close to him causes her so much grief then he will try his best not to come near her. Kesar says this with so much pain and in a broken voice, Gulaal the ice maiden melts a little when she hears this, then goes to the room. Talli overhears this conversation in her usual lizard-like manner. Kesar feels very dejected and leans over on the railing, Talli sees him sad and feels very bad, crying.

Poonam is happy with Gulaal's decision, Gulaal's father expresses disagreement at her decision of sacrificing herself for two families, and he wasn't able to do anything. He worries that things will get worse for her, Kesar's forcing her to return makes him think that Kesar will not treat her like before. Poonam says that everything is fine, she trusts Kesar completely, he will never do anything that will cause Gulaal pain, he is her husband. He tells her that she doesn't understand, its not just about Kesar, will the family now give Gulaal the same level of respect as before, he saw their behavior when he went there, they think that everything is Gulaal's fault because she left the house, now Gulaal's life will be completely different.

Gulaal is in her room staring at Vasant's photo, crying. Paan Baa comes there and consoles her saying that Sudha doesn't know what she is saying. Gulaal the martyr says she understands what Sudha is going through as Talli's mother. Gulaal says that its fine if she doesn't get the same treatment as before. Paan Baa tells her that as long as she and Mota Bha are there nothing will happen to her. Paan Baa tells her that she has taken a huge step by moving into Kesar's room and is scared that Gulaal may stagger, when Gulaal was away Kesar asked why he cannot love Gulaal, is it because he is younger than her or that he is her brother-in-law, she had no answer and is scared that Kesar will get answers to his questions in his own way. She asks Gulaal whether she knows the meaning of her staying in the same room, it means that Gulaal has accepted Kesar as her husband. Gulaal nods her head as no and says that its not possible, she can never think of Kesar as her husband, she too doesn't have answers to Paan Baa's questions, she doesn't know whatever happened in the last few days will lead to what in future, she doesn't even know the outcome of her current step, she has to find herself again in this house. What was Paan Baa implying, that Kesar will force himself on Gulaal? That woman is talking about her own son who is such a good kid, yet she doesn't understand him. Looks like Mota Bha is on exile. Don't they understand that in a way Gulaal is ruining Kesar's life by not accepting him? Both will be tied in a loveless marriage.

Gulaal is in her room crying looking at Vasant's photo. I think the biggest problem with her is that she doesn't have a mission or goal, neither does Kesar. Both need to find a goal in life. Gulaal's goal was Kesar, the family, village, now its nothing, so she is staring at Vasant's photo all day long not knowing what to do with her time - her loneliness has caught up with her. She hears footsteps and wipes her tears. Kesar enters hurt, takes his pillow and goes to the terrace. Gulaal sees him sleeping on the terrace. Kesar looks so lost sleeping like that all alone and sad. Talli comes to drop off Gulaal's things in her new room. Gulaal looks at her guiltily, Talli tells her that she is fine, they should let things unfold on their own since nothing is in their control. Gulaal gives Talli a blanket and asks if she can cover Kesar, Talli hesitates.

Talli covers Kesar with the blanket, he wakes up and sees her, she goes away, then he turns around and sees Gulaal looking from the window. Gulaal's expression was hurt, but when Kesar sees her, she hardens and leaves. Gulaal sits in her room and weeps.

The next morning Kesar comes to his room and sees it empty, Talli calls him for breakfast, he asks where Gulaal is, she tells him that she is having breakfast, he should come as well, he refuses saying that let her finish eating first, she asks why, he always wanted to have her in front of him. He says that he still does, but doesn't know what to do, Gulaal suspects his intentions. She says obviously, what else did he think, does he have any idea what he has done. He says he had no choice, his goal of going to the panchayat was to bring her back, she says like this by compelling her, doesn't she have any say in her life decisions. She asks him whether he wants to win her love or lose her forever. Kesar looks at her shocked as if he never thought about this before. Kesar looks and behaves like a kid, clearly he doesn't understand how to deal with his emotions or articulate himself, he is a simple and direct guy. I prefer this dynamic between Kesar and Talli - even as a kid she sometimes showed him the right way, and they communicated well with each other.

Precap: Jamna tells Gulaal wickedly in front of Talli that she should remember one thing, she is in this house only because she is Kesar's wife, otherwise what is her relation with the family.
