His world begins and ends with Gulaal. She puts him in a frenzy. Kesar is Kesar because of Gulaal. Such a dynamic character! Exactly ...Remove Gulaal from the equation and we have a run-of-the-mill character...

This is what I love about this show. Both the lead characters have so much depth to them, they both make mistakes, they both feel they have the right to hurt the other. ..The character development is absolutely wonderful...and plus we have amazing actors who carry out wach and every scene with such absolute perfection...such zeal and zenith...that you are just left drained after you see them on screen...

I know everyone wants Kesar to grow up and I'm not any different but there is a part of me which wants him to maintain that childish vulnerability because that is what makes Kesar so interesting to watch. He's real! Those insecurities he goes through makes me want to touch the screen because they come out so palpably. His insecurities of losing Gulaal really makes him quite an iconic lover i.e. the extent he feels the pain because of her. I'm quite a sadist when it comes to watching fictional love stories and this K-G love story is most definitely my cup of tea...Owww ..Reema I love the bacha part in him too😆...LOL you might have noticed how I call him brat most of the times...I love his vulnerability, his directness, inability to be anything but on the face...though am not a sadist...Kes-Gul has captured me so wholesomely😆..But I guess i didnot like him joining hands, falling on his knees...But that is how we are attached to him...😳

So yes, even though Kesar should man up, I still want him to maintain that possesivness that he has for Gulaal and also that vulnerability because these factors really set him apart from the other heroes I see on-screen. Kesar is THE most unconventional male protagonist I've seen...Yes..he defo should not lose that Childlikeness and posessiveness and that complete trust he puts in her... I was just thinking the amount of trust and love that he puts...in this whole thing the role of Dushy and Vasan't murder is all side lined...such is his complete and total surrender to her...He is ready to forego and forget the truth that ate him for all these years in light of his new founded realization...And even I would not like to change him 😳

The only thing that will happen will be that he again will be pushed into that valley of despair he had been living in for past 10 years...How can he survive without her in this house?? Yes, Kesar was very right in pointing out that this wouldn't change anything...but then we all know that basically Gulaal is running scared cuz she can't face this...poor Kesar has to live with the consequences though...there are too many complexities b/w them...so I guess the pain will be there *sigh* But all of that in a sense adds to the pathos of the story too and makes you feel for the characters even more.

He is right..as you pointed out...'Abhi toh Zindagi ke maayne samjha hoon'
His whole life...half went in loving her...and the other in loving to hate her and hating to love her...
Now, he knows what he wants...and now she is going away..he doesnot see a way out... Exactly...half his life went in loving her, then attempting to hate her for so long but never really fully succeeding...now he finally knows what all these jumbled up feelings meant...that there is only one answer to all his questions...and that is Gulaal...whether it's hate or love, he cannot survive without her...she is his only source of sustenance.


Am wondering at the loss of that Kesar who made Gulaal dance at his tunes for a brief period...
He loses so easily na,,,,The man who puts everything on the toss of a coin and if loses, does with a smiling face, has just been hit with a fatalistic blow ...He is no more playing now...He is fighting for survival That Kesar who can play games with her...could only do so when his own feelings were confusing him...everything was not yet clear to him...but Gulaal can cut him off at the knees the moment she tells him she'll leave...that's when the games end...it all seems to tie back to their scene from his childhood when Kesar is throwing tantrums about going to school...and nothing seems to make him change his mind but the moment Gulaal says she'll leave, his entire demeanor changes...even till this day, it's the same...if she even mentions the prospect of leaving, it's like everything inside him freezes...no matter what he's doing...no matter how much he may be angry with her otherwise...but if she says this one thing, his entire world starts crumbling...and that's when he starts desperately scrambling to make her stay...to stop that world from crumbling to pieces...for it is Gulaal that is the basis of his world and no one else.

His defences i think of anger that he had for so many years is lost, so in a way it seems he is lost buty found a certain contentment with knowing that he loves Gulaal, and cant live without her and cant go on living - and that fear of losing her, hits him hard each time

I will say that today we saw a little Kesar in him, i so saw flashes of him when i saw him trying to stop her and so on and begging her, and i so wanted him to get a hold of himself and stand up and be a man - but like Reemz said that Kesar has a child vunerability which should also maintain that as he grows up, Kesar has everything to be the man we know he can be with all the Kesar qualities we know as well and know our Kesar to be like, but can still grow up

Like i said imagine how hard it must be for Gulaal to see what we saw today as we saw flashes of little Kesar being like that, not only that she has SEEN him as a child and be there with him, that even more harder

nureat01 - The tum meri ho scene was i remember seeing, i am pretty sure it was when they were rehearsing the krishna leela, and she didnt pick him as Krishna, he got upset with her, thats one of the incidents i remember, i am sure he said that to her, i even did a post back then when he said that

Gosh you capture every key scene so well that I feel like am watching the show thru your writing. Since I'm not going to watch today your analysis help me not feel like I was missing anything. I just can't watch Kesar falling from grace. I really hope you're right about Kesar going up from this cause I just can't see him falling any lower.

I know you were right about Dushy but I just don't trust Teletubbie bringing Kes-Gul together but will love to be wrong. The girl has been around Cruella and Sudah too long for any common sense.

you are right...in running away..she is like her original self...because now she faces the consequences of her decisions she made as a 'Super woman'...which she would now face as human...LMAO so true...she has is having to face the consequences of the decisions she made in "SUPERWOMAN" mode...she's trying to run away but like she told, Vasant's portrait...she probably didn't count on becoming so entangled in relationships herself...she figured she can move the relationships around as she feels...but she never accounted for the most unpredictable factor of them all...Kesar...she should actually ask herself...how much has she REALLY known Kesar if she could never see this coming? Maybe the time for that will come one day when she comes out of the shadows of the past that she is clinging on to so much...


...yup I see a role reversal..when Kesar was away..Gulaal used to write letters to him which he never used to reply...this time I see it the other way round...although they might not be the letters...but reassertion of feelings...but you are right..they need to find themselves...Gulaal needs to melt a bit and Kesuda needs to buck up😳That's what I hope to see next yaar...now dunno when/if the show is supposed to end either...but the point at which the KG storyline is...there is potential for a lot...hope they live up to it.
