Why can't Kesar tell Gulal that he is married??

Dear All,

I am silent reader and must say that i love the wonderful analysis and topics posted by Reemz, Lennie, Meysimi and others (sorry keep forgetting names).

My questions,

1. How can Gulal think of Kesar-talli marriage? Kesar is still married to her. Is second marriage allowed in the village without a proper divorce?

2. Why is Kesar so affected by Gulal's promise? He can tell Gulal that how can he get married to talli as he is already married. What is stopping him?

3. Are the CVs ignorant about the whole second marriage issue? Gulal does not believe is the so called deeyarvatu ritual but others in the so called conservative village do, so how can they ignore this imp. ritual

4. Will Dushyant play a role as a sarpanch to stop this KT marriage

Well ,I dont have much idea but I think they are not legally married. So I do not know if divorce in legal terms is required. But I think in villages they need to break the deeyarvattu , am not sure about that or I think in villages they dont see anything wrong in having two wives also.

Here they wont show any such things.

But I wonder what will be marital status of Gulaal if at all Kesar marries Talli ( I so dont want that to happen). Will she again become a widow ? Slightly confusing.

What i feel is may be kesar will agree to marry talli, gulaal will dream about it and when the actual thing happens Talli may back off as she will come to know abt kesar's love for Gulaal.

That is excessively weird...

1. Suddenly everybody will be OKAY with kesar and talli marriage

2. TALLI is so desperate that she won't think once before agreeing to the marriage although she very well knows kesar doesn't love her...

3. For the 3rd time in a row GULAAL shall be having a broken marital relation (1st was durgesh.. although marriage never occured but was fixed, 2nd vasant, and now kesar)..

i wonder why in indian TV serials marriage especially occurs between two ppl one of whom is desperately in love with a third person and then it is mandatory for the thrid person to find out abt the one sided interest of smbdy and donate her/his love to that somebody...

4. All of a sudden marriage will take place in a haste..

5. Gulaal's parents have no say... the village ppl have no views... the other ppl in the family have no problems whatsoever...

6. The most weird thing they will subsequently show is kesar falling in love with that excessively overrated and annoying talli... love comes so easy to these guys u know...

Being an indian i am very much aware of the validity of a deeyarvattu.. it is very much a valid marriage and there is no such liberty to DONATE your husband as shown in this serial... And plz don't even think of the making vasant return.. that wud be the most funny sequence on earth.. somebody meeting with an accident, drowning and then coming back after 10 yrs just in time to be able to console the viewers that poor gulaal has somebody in the end..
