Neil's best: Kesar almost confessed

Kesar came back with hope and happiness. Seeing Gulaal walk towards him, he was having some peace, happiness, contentment at seeing her approach as well as admiration of her. It was quite a quick and surprised reaction to Gulaal seeking blessings from him, that he clearly said there was no requirement to follow all such rituals. He is respectful and that Gulaal needn't do this to him.

When Gulaal was partly admitting her mistake in slapping him, Kesar was humble enough to say it was him who pushed her to react. Kesar took the opportunity to reveal to her that he is fighting his own heart and mind about his confusion and doubts, that he is sinking into his own problems and all that is happening with him but that is the last thing that Gulaal wants to discuss. How long will she be in denial?

I liked the way Gulaal after all that has passed between them does not look direct in his eyes and avoids it maximum. Kesar is feeling happy and content about the fact that she kept the "Vrat" for him. And while asking that he looks directly into her eyes whereas his eyes showed hope and anticipation for a favorable reply from her. All that Kesar cares is for that love and care from Gulaal. She is still in denial and says it was on Paanba's insistence. Kesar is just trying to make himself happy or rather was that an indication to her that though mom insisted, it's you who is fasting. Boy, you are gonna have a tough time convincing her. She won't budge

Wasn't someone asking for the "Dupattah flying" scenes? It looks like they have heard that request that we are bestowed with such a scene. And Kesar seeing her open locks is totally smitten by her beauty. Did I get to see the repetition of this scene in Gulaal with the yellow dupattah flying? Well yes, history repeats itself.

Kesar's eyes were in that reverie, as though in a trance after seeing her.

In spite of being lost in his own problems, Kesar was caring enough to bring Raman along for his sudha Babhi's sake. Kesar seems to be thoroughly enjoying the "husband" status and even goes on to say to Raman that it's a delight to experience these rituals. <Madam Gulaal is just not comfortable with all these. I haven't seen Kesar so happy for quite a while. He was looking forward to help Gulaal break the fast.

He did not care for Talli or her appearance. He missed the Chunar also. That is his reaction to Talli or her presence. I am sure he must have noticed had it been Gulaal who was wearing it. Gulaal noticed that Kesar missed that. But Talli had to make herself loud and clear that she is wearing the chunar. Kesar and his attachment to Gulaal was emphasized in the importance that he lays even for the little gifts he got for her. It's the thought behind the gift however simple the gift may be. Kesar is too hurt, gets emotional when he hears from Talli that she got it from Gulaal, gets angry at Talli and repeated all over again that it was NOT for her.

TERRACE SCENE AND PRECAP

Gulaal's scene on the terrace was breathtakingly beautiful. The picturesque bluish night sky with clouds, a lonely Gulaal, everything added to the scenic beauty. Gulaal on the terrace seemed caught between everyone's problems. Gulaal has learnt about the letters which Kesar is hiding (a big bunch of them, not the single one she has seen in his room). Kesar who is dear to her has clearly taken a liking for her. Talli whom she loves seemed to whining all the while. Her mother's words haunted her about Kesar's inclination to her.

I guess after seeing the Chunar in his room, he has brought it to burn it up. He already did that to one of the kurtas when he first came home. Kesar seems to be an expert at that. But that's the level of his possessiveness about Gulaal and her things that an item that he brought with so much love for Gulaal was used by someone else. Kesar's gift reflected his feelings for Gulaal. When that was not given its due importance by the woman he got the gift for, he is already hurt. Her indifference to his thoughts and feelings is burning him to ashes within so he rather makes it perish in the fire he has lighted. I am happy at least Talli is hearing from him that he does not see her more than as a friend.

DISLIKE IN THE EPISODE:

I hated it when Gulaal made Talli lend a hand to Puja when Poonamba very clearly indicate d that married women only do puja.

If Talli loved Kesar, she won't throw away the chunar the way she did in Kesar's room. And again she comes and whines if Kesar will marry her. How desperate is she?

Gulaal being pushed by Sudha who reminded the promise Gulaal made. Gulaal seemed to feel guilty that Kesar behaved that way. He is a man with his own heart and feelings. Please!!!!!!!!.

It appeared as though Sudha and Talli are finding her answerable for Kesar's behavior

I so hated that. gosh she dint even allowed gulaal to break fast. Pata nahi kaha se tapki. We should her send to some Pluto from where she wont be able to come back.

-I didn't feel so bad about the Chunner throwing because she is after all hurt and her immaturity to handle it. I mean she is still evolving as a character or so to say growing..

-Sudha mentioning the promise was off for me too, it was like she is blackmailing. As a mother who had loveless married life, did she not think of repeating the same mistake in her daughter's life a bad idea? She worried about Kesar being not responsible and not about Kesar loving Thalli? If not Thalli she is definitely getting clues and she has experience in marriage life too. To some extent I felt Sudha was venting her humiliation of the vrat breaking incident as well.

I didn't like Kesar leaving like that because he just had a thought that he could be wrong in doubting G and d, he showed some resentment. Then the expression on Gulaal during the chunner thing clearly showed she is out of control of the situation. I mean she was feeling guilty too. Why didn't he give the benefit of doubt? He could have been angry but break the virat, because his Gulaal is starving here, so just for the love of Gulaal.

Then on the other hand it won't have the drama that followed, if not for these situations.
