I would prefer to call her Kesar's Gulaal.
To me, Gulaal stands a last chance to make her mind known to one and all tomorrow. I would very much like Kesar and Gulaal to fill the void in each other's lives.
But I do feel for the way things are forced upon her. She took a tough decision 10 years ago. She was bold enough that way without falling prey to Dushyant's lustful eyes and at the same time fulfilling the promise she made to her husband.
Life has come a full circle. Kesar has almost implied to her that he loves her though he himself hasn't really understood. She has spoken to Motaba of her intentions to bring Kesar and Talli together.
Society did not give her time and space to grieve over her personal and profound loss. She was forced into taking the option of marrying Kesar. I understand her love for her late husband. I don't want her to lose the happiness and love she so deserves.
But it is her last chance to speak for herself if she really means it. She has the right oppurtunity to tell Kesar that she would remain a friend, mentor and guide that she used to be, she can tell the family that she does not think of her marriage with Kesar to be on actual terms and she can suggest to Kesar's parents who have the right to think about Kesar's future to take the Talli alliance forward. She may have to deal with Kesar's emotions. thats upto her. She has to face life.
Tomorrow if she does not speak up after listening to Jamna Kaaki, I will no longer be able to sympathise with her. Its her last chance to stand up for herself and say to the world that under the pretext of rituals and customs, she cannot be forced into a relation that she does not really want. I dont believe that she does not have the courage to speak up. She did, 10 years ago and left the entire village of Talsagra spellbound and speechless. This current situation is nothing in comparison to the pressure she was in within days of Vasant's death.
If she spoke up then, she should now. And if Kesar's Gulaal is quiet and decides to perform the ritual of Vatsavitri without wholehearted dedication, as a woman, I cannot relate to her by any means. Marriage is a sanctimonious instituition that unifies the heart and soul of two people. It has its own sanctity in society. Mockery of that through half-hearted dedication is plainly unwelcome. If she would speak up and end her "compromise" marriage, in my eyes, she would still be a woman of substance. Or else if she goes ahead with this ritual for him, she has to be ready to accept him as husband by all terms.
This is just my opinion.

I agree that Gulaal has her chance at speaking up tomorrow to all of them, esp the elders and laying down her thoughts and feelings and so on, but will that happen is the question - i do see something from Gulaal if she will speak up and also something held back in Gulaal for some reason to take the story forward in the sense of Kes-Gulaal story i guess

I definitely think she will speak up tomorrow but might lose the battle in front of her mother in law. She may not be able to deny the elders but it won't mean she's happy to fast for Kesar as his wife. Something tells me that all this frustration of hers will come out in front of Kesar, possibly in a negative way. All of a sudden, Kesar confessed some feelings towards her and now all this pati-patni talk from the rest of the family. Just a random thought...I wonder if she will blame Kesar for whatever's happening? Maybe not directly but all this forcing has happened after Kesar revealed his feelings.

I'll reserve my judgement on her actions tomorrow :)

hmm may be may be not agreed it was her decision to marry kesar now there are two person involved in this relation kesar and gulaa nowt she cant alone take the decision how will she see her realtionship or will she move out of the relationship...now she should understand kesar pov as well ...instead of fighting with jamna kaki its better she confronts kesar afterall kesar is the most imp person who should know about her future plan and most imp that she doesnt see him as her husband or say someone who has fallen for her ...but she is so concious infront of him she even cant met her eyes with him and she says oh its keasr that kesar... i think instead of arguing with elders and other ppl better sit and talk to kesar...now kesar is big enough to make him understand y she did deeayrvattu .but gulaal is running away and think things will be normalised how ????...

I agree with what you said. What Gulaal's mother said was also true that she can't bend the rules of society as and when it suits her

well...its true, but gulaal was the one who made the decision to marry kesar
and while her problems were sorted at that time, she had to realize that there would have been repercussions later...she is not the only party affected by this, kesar too is very majorly affected and she included him in her own struggle...and now she has to face the music...its sad but true...

The TB article has foreshadowed that Gulaal is gonna speak up against Jamna's proposal. That's really good!

I too felt sorry for Gulaal in yesterday's episode, when her mom kept convincing her to accept Kesar as her husband and when Jamna brought up the proposal of Kesar-Gulaal starting their marital life. Poor Gulaal got the shock of her life. Her state was so pitiable. I'm also not for things being forced upon Gulaal..

As of now, I would say, Gulaal does love Kesar but platonically. Just like Gulaal is "Kesar's Gulaal", Kesar is also Gulaal's Kesar. The scene where she expresses her idea of getting Talli and Kesar married to Motaba, after he leaves she picks up those scattered imli with tearful eyes. The thought that Kesar will no longer be hers gets to her. She has always loved that attention, that respect, that recognition, that dependence, that possessiveness extended to her by Kesar. But when she realizes that he has gone overboard and the feelings are not only platonic, she has started to withdraw. She is just unable to love or even think of loving Kesar non-platonically. If ever she should develop feelings for Kesar, that should happen natutally in its own pace through a series of incidents like a flower blossoming, the process of which cannot be followed by anybody. And portaying that is like a tight rope walk for the creatives and I'm intrigued to know how they gonna develop the track
