well deeyavatu is not as bad as its protayed there are more horrendous nasty things forced upon an indian women such as sati prata devkanya child marriage etc...........infact this tradition was formed in indian society to give a chance to a widow to live her life once again.....the condition of indian widow in villages is worst than this ..............she is considered as bad fortune to society no man comes forward to protect her and to take her responsibilty..........she is forced to live a lonely life her own family dont support her coz she should live with her in laws till deadth so the tradition was mainly formed to protect women and her right...........infact its a good innitiative taken by gram panchayat.........even in indian society "devar" means dusara var (second groom) i m not saying it its in ancient literature where if a first husband dies a women has choice to select her second groom ( i.e devar) .......but somehow some ppl misuse this tradition............but still here decision is in the hands of bride to chose or not to chose

For the sake of this topic, lets leave Vasant's possible return out of it. Agar hoga toh dekh lenge but it has been 8(?!) years since he went missing so lets leave it at that.

@Pocahontas: Exactly! Talli has no depth whatsoever while Kesar-Gulaal are all about the deep connection they have with one another.

Just taking these caps which Lennie posted in her topic:

That's chemistry for me. I love how Gulaal got her way with Kesar's favourite toy...the coin! She was challenging him which again shows a gradual growth between the two characters. Slowly it will turn in to something more...

I think that Kesar and Gulaal will end up with each other in the end. In the beginning itself there was a prediction about Gulaal marrying twice and how she will be happy with her second husband. I honestly do not hate Talli's character. She is quite innocent in her love for Kesar. But Kesar does not love her like a woman, but only as a friend. His eyes has been and always will be on Gulaal. However, Gulaal only loves Vasant (at least now) and can only see him as her life's purpose. She cannot see Kesar as her opposite. She views him as person she needs to protect and teach to become like Vasant. And I think Kesar knows that about how Gulaal only sees him as a kid. He in a way is trying to change Gulaal's perspective of him as a child. Through his rebellion he wants to show Gulaal that he is not a kid anymore. He is obviously attracted to Gulaal, but feels as though Vasant is always in between. In addition I think he also realizes that Gulaal is trying to pair him with Talli. Which he despises, but does not hold back in using Talli to prick Gulaal's emotions. (The liking Talli's food and going out of his way to criticize Gulaal's food, making Talli eat from his plate etc.) If you notice every scene, somebody brings up that Kesar and Gulaal are married in front of them, Kesar always looks at Gulaal with an expression "When is she going to accept it?" Honestly, I feel bad for Talli. She is going to get hurt and badly. Also a prediction is that when Gulaal finally accepts Kesar, Vasant will show up to confuse things. Also there is good possibility of Talli going grey in the future when she looses Kesar. Dushyant being nice, I do not buy it. He is a grey character. If not now, but in the future.

Like i said Reemz, i found the coin toss scenes between a man and woman thats how i saw them, and i didnt see the age difference or anything but just Kesar and Gul - man and woman, them challenging each other, and how that coin is what works between them right now, the decision maker.......
As you said there was growth between them, certain change in seeing them like that....

I have said it before, and i'll say it again....the discussion in this forum is the best..

As for yesterday's episode....Talli eating 3/4 of the screen time was the most annoying thing ever....I just cannot connect with that character....even though Gulaal is insisting on Talli's misery, I cannot even summon up a decent amount of pity for her. She has no depth or dimension to her character.

The whole scene when Keser followed Talli to her dance spot and how he seem to like it, is a parallel with Gulaal and Vasant scene first scene, like JC mentioned. The difference is....Vasant was mesmerized by Gulaal....it was Vasant who felt the attraction. In this Keser was just surprised at Talli's talent happy about it, he was not awestruck.

The coin toss scene was excellent as well, it should a tiny glimpse of old Gulaal....the one who seems to be lost with Vasant. When Gulaal tossed the coin, that old mischievous Gulaal who wanted to do everything on a bet with Vasant emerged a little. The way she peaked back to see if Keser drank the milk....that was my favorite scene of the day. That was so old Gulaal. Peaking from behind pillars is her thing.😊

kesar is awestruck with gulaal as in he was gazing at her chori chhupey.
that was the real attraction.
i woudl really be refreshing if writers ultimately decide to show kes - gul.

It was a good episode! Still Talli is much better than the Icchas and Tappu's on tv.. they are so annoying, god knows where these TRPs come from! and such a great show like Gulaal gets none

First of all Reemz dont sell yourself short! Your great with words. in fact I feel inadequate sometimes cos of the amazing writers we have on this forum.😊
Anyway, coming to the episode I liked it.
I agree with everyone here that Talli is so annoying. She has no clue whats going on around her. She seems to be living in her own little world comprised of herself and Kesar. She really needs to smile less. The director needs to do something about that now!😆
But the biggest drawback is that the actress and Neil have no chemistry and if they are thinking of a triangle then this is vital.
Kesar is so complex. He's full of anger yet is so vulnerable. He wants to hurt Gulaal but then feels bad when he does. Neil is doing an awesome job as Keasr. He made me want to slap him for being mean to Gulaal but I forgave him for everything just for that look he gave Gulaal when she was brushing her hair. Chemistry at its best.😳
Manasi was just awesome today in her scene with her mother. I felt so bad for her. And she's so sensitive to Kesars feelings that she doesnt know what to say to him without him lashing out on her. I loved the terrace scene, especially when Gulaal sneakily took a look at Kesar drinking the milk and Kesar giving a slight smile to himself when he thought Gulaal had left.
Nice post Reemz.😊

I agree.. Her posts have always been a delight to read! Whether its in the BMTD forum or even the KS forum. She always manages to add alot of depth to her posts👍🏼 I wouldnt be surprised if the Gulaal forum becomes more popular just cos she posts here!😊
