I'm not good with words unlike some of the other members here who describe the emotions of the characters so well but I just finished watching the Maha-episode and even though much didn't happen, it just really tugged your heart. All the characters especially Gulaal and Kesar have so many layers that you can automatically connect with their emotions. The episode only made me root for Gulaal and Kesar more, not because Kesar was admiring Gulaal from far but more so because we got to see how lonely these two actually are. Those who say Gulaal can't ever forget Vasant hence they do not see her being attracted to Kesar, just watch how alone and depressed she really is. Every woman has her desires and what's interesting to observe is how she kept comparing Kesar to Vasant and it almost felt like the only other man who could keep her happy is Kesar. Now, however she is left more alone than ever because Kesar doesn't even look at her (so she assumes). You can't deny that she felt a hint of jealousy when Kesar told Talli to share a plate with him. It's not like Gulaal was waiting for Talli to return, she was blatantly awaiting Kesar so she could eat with him. My heart just dropped seeing Gulaal's expressions (Manasi leaves me in awe even in the scene with paan-ba). Gulaal WANTS to live a happy life too, there's no rule that she has to keep her happiness aside every time and from where I'm looking, only Kesar can make her truly happy!

Neil really got to perform in the scene with Dushyant and when he's alone. You understand the complexities of the character. You know he WANTS to believe that Gulaal and Dushyant are innocent, he knows they love him but how can he forget what he heard? Beautifully acted.

TALLI almost made me cry, not because of her acting but the sheer fact that she EXISTS irritates me to no end. I hate how she follows Kesar around like a chipkoo! Kesar looking at her while dancing at the mandir was a way of showing Gulaal that he could be interested in her yet the viewer can tell that all his emotions are towards Gulaal only.

I have to say more but I need to rush off! Beautiful episode all in all except Talli who gave me a headache and I promise whoever kills her first will get a prize from me!

lol Reemz. You caught Kesar and Gulaal's emotions right. Spot on. Gulaal's scn with Panba was a revelation. We haven't seen Gulaal like that before ever. But here you see a Gulaal that is possibly for the first time since accepting Vasant's death, thinking of what she is missing in her life. I still don't think she has come even close to replacing Vasant with Kesar. No, but there is a small chance.

Kesar you got completely right.
However, I disagree with you on Talli. Her character is not there as an extra. I think the fact that we wish to see Kesar and Gulaal so much that Talli as a natural barrier irritates us. But if you look from an unbiased view, Talli is actually the most pityful character here. Gulaal put the thought of Kesar in her head. Talli didn't think of it on her own. Now she has grown up with that thought and reared that thought in her heart to all sorts of heights. Its not her fault, Gulaal and Sudha and even Panba encouraged it. Kesar can't be blamed if he breaks her heart, but break it probably will and its going to be so painful and and these three women will have to answer her for it.
As for Kesar-Talli scn, I see my predictions sort of coming true. The writers are building a possibility of something other than Gulaal-Kesar happening. If you notice, the song Talli was dancing to was the same song that introduced Gulaal and the song when Gulaal-Vasant met. The scn when Kesar is trying to see the face of the girl dancing, then walks to the mandir and catches Talli from falling... like a deja-vu of Vasant-and-Gulaal. Talli was wearing yellow and Kesar white just like V&G. That scn if has any symbolism, tells you that Kesar-Talli is a major possibility.

But what was interesting in Gulaal's part was the dialog that Kesar is not ready to step into Vasan't shoes.. and then she goes on from that thought and says about her promise to Talli. So basically until Gulaal sees Kesar as a responsible adult able to care for the family the way Vasant would have, she doesn't deem him ready for marriage either. And given that Kesar is so confused about Dushyant and Gulaal's characters he is going to now do things to find out what these two are really like. Including trying to find out if they are involved with each other secretly. I think his "attraction" to Gulaal play a major part in clearing his confusion about Gulaal.

I'm not saying Talli is an extra. She obviously isn't with the amount of screen time she is getting. The show is so complicated that anything could happen but I'm sorry I don't feel any pity for her because I see her as a 2-Dimensional character, whether it's the actress playing her or the actual character sketch but I don't feel anything except irritation for her.

I think people on focusing on Vasant-Gulaal so much seem to forgetting that their relationship was never supposed to be the main focus. So even if Talli-Kesar's scene replicated Vasant-Gulaal's, it also reminds me that the latter's relationship didn't last. I'm not saying Talli-Kesar is impossible but unless I see something from Kesar's side, I'll still stay Gulaal and Kesar are more likely to happen. Also I think the whole typical fall was just another flashback for Talli's sake when she remembers and ASSUMES Kesar is attracted to her which is clearly not the case.

i think kesar is falling for gulaal ........ as such it was always gulaal gulaal for him and now even with his manly emotions no one can take that place except gulaal ( the kesar gazing at gulaal starry eyed) ......... anyway talli is merely a freind ....... however the fact talli exists is not without a purpose. talli will be rejected by kesar ( im dying to see that actually ) ....... but since gulaal can never think beyond vasant ......... gulaal will nto agree to be his wife in real sense. she wud be pressurised to accept kesar and perhaps due topressure may consent but then the eventual twist woudl happen ..........
i guess eventually vasant will return and kesar will be paired up with talli.

awesome post reemz !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love kesar and gulaal but looking at todays epi i think we have to bear talli for more days ............i cant believe todays mahaepisode was full of talli and her stupidity ...............i dont think we hate talli coz she is natural barrier or things like that........ i.think she is most unwanted character in the story of dushant kesar vasant and gulaal she is so unimportant and in 1 hrs epi 45 min were concentrated on her.......thats irritates me highly........ wht the use of watching talli and kesar lovestory whts so interesting about it.??????............the serial is based on devyatru (i dont know whts its called exactly) so they should show us that story y pulling this talli and kesar love angles.......its so annoying there is nothing exiting .........together both look so childish (no offence to fan plz) .......... i mean talli always keep on asking "maine kaisi lagi rahi ho'.🤢.......and kesar goes something like this" pata nahi coin toss karta hun heads then u r looking good and tail then u r looking ugly.......and if coins stands 50 -50"..😃..............so basically if they want talli and kesar they better show it and dont confuse us like a heck atleast i will be saved of watching something utter stupid

If they want to bring Vasant back then they might as well do it now instead of later because then this love triangle is a waste of time :\

i dont know im only speculating. there is no point in introducing a character without a purpose ..... talli is getting a lot of footage cudnt be in vain and somehow even i woudl prefer kes - gul but then so many clues lying here and ther ein the story ..... gulaal saying "vasant will be back on his own two legs one day and everyone will see ".
dsnt make any other sense except vasant coming back eventually.
more over u have seen how people have reacted to kes gul relp even in this forum , writers have to be entirely daring to show kes gul as man and wife since it may go against stereotypes ....... and dsnt indain society care about stereotypes the most.
lol sad but a definite possibility.

Well then there's nothing really new to this show if all they wanted to do is bring Vasant back ala Miss Ekta Kapoor style! I'd rather know now so I know when to stop watching the show.

Lamhe is considered a classic today.
