Part 2

"Lord Krishna! Please AJ ko bacha lo, please don't take him away from his family, from me. Please save him, take my life instead but spare his life. He has a family to look after, he has an old mother waiting for her only son to come back to his senses. Please! AJ ko bacha lo! I swear main fir kabhi zidd nhi karoongi, main fir kabhi AJ ko pareshaan nhi karungi, unki har baat maanungi...but please...Don't take my Husband Away!! Guddan sobbed as AJ's scowling face flashed in front of her eyes. She could do anything to see him scowl at her again!

And just like this, seated under the mango tree in the hospital premises, Guddan continued to pray to her lord for her husband's life. And somewhere along the lines, the events of the day started to take a toll on her body forcing her eyelids to drop shut when Vardaan's voice reached her ears and every ounce of sleep disappeared. Hiding behind the tree, she listened to him.

"Laxmi, take dadi home and help her rest, the operation is still going on, and so I and Kishore bhaiya will be with papa along with Durga bhabhi.

Laxmi nodded and along with Saru and Rahul, left with a dadi who was crying continuously. Guddan clenched her fingers as her nails dug into her palms causing blood to ooze out but she could care less. If only she hadn't acted impetuously, Dadi wouldn't have been in this much agony. It was all because of her!

Determined, Guddan decided that rather than moping around, she needed to be strong."Kuch nhi hoga aapko, AJ! Hum hai na, aapki Guddan aapko usse akela chodkar jaane nhi degi. Veerwati apne pati ko mrityu ke muh se wapas laai thi...toh hum bhi vachan lete hain ki jab tak AJ theek nhi ho jaate, hum ann ka ek niwala aur paani ka ek katra bhi apne gale ke neeche nhi utaarenge! With that resolve steeled, Guddan sat back under the tree and closing her eyes, folded her hands in front of her god.

It was only in the early hours of morning when she had dozed into a sleep, when she was shaken out of her short lived sleep. Guddan woke up to a nurse shaking her shoulder. Rubbing her eyes to ward the weariness off, she looked at the woman in white who looked at her worried.

"Are you ok ma'am? You don't look too good.. She asked.

Guddan nodded her head and stood up, to check on AJ. She has just put her first step forward, when Durga's warning echoed in her ears. "And we want AJ to be with us! And that's not possible until an ominous creature like you is casting her shadow on him!

Guddan stopped. She had done enough harm to him. It was better if she stayed away from him. Turning to the nurse, Guddan asked for a favour.

"Can you do me a favour? Akshat Jindal is being operated on, can you please keep me updated about him?! Due to some reasons I can't see him so will you help me!!? Guddan asked the nurse and continued, "Aap ye hamara kada le lijiye..but please help me!

Nurse nodded at Guddan, able to feel her sorrow and left from there.

Soon Guddan informed her father, who arrived to check on his son-in-law. Later, Bhushan tried to take Guddan with him but she vehemently refused. She was going to stick right by her uncle's side till hell froze over.

AJ was still not out of the woods as Guddan was informed. His head was operated on last night in a bid to stop the internal bleeding. The operation had went on about 14 hours straight and right now AJ was under observation, to make sure that his vitals were stable enough to operate his abdomen. And soon the day went by in a jiffy and night came, when it was decided that his abdomen had to be operated on for the clotting in his blood vessels, otherwise with God's grace Akshat's internal organs were almost unharmed. This time the operation lasted 8 hours, ending only in wee hours of morning.

"Ma'am your husband's operation was successful but he is still being kept under observation since his heart beats are pretty erratic, Nurse informed Guddan, who was leaning against the pillars, lost in her own thoughts.

In response, Guddan thanked the nurse with a small smile and thanked her lord Krishna. Bas ab AJ ko hosh aa jaye' Guddan thought trying to get up, when her head started feeling dizzy and she almost slipped on the stairs but in the last moment she gained her footing and survived a serious fall. Fasting had started to take a toll on her body but she will resist until her body decides to break down.

Another day passed and night came, when Guddan heard some footsteps.

"Arre...tumne suna... a shrill voice entered her ears and Guddan peeked from behind the tree to hear two nurses talking.

"Haan...vo do din pehle ek aadmi admit hua tha na...overconcussion ke kaaran uski sar kin ass fatt gayi or bechara...

Guddan's heart fell into the pits of her stomach. She suddenly lost her breath and clutched her chest, uneasily. They could not be talking about AJ. Ho hi nhi sakta. No. No.

Brimming with denial, Guddan wobbled her way to the nurse and turning her around sharply, shook her by the shoulders. "Kinki baat kar rahi hai aap?

Nurse stared at the ghastly woman in front of her, bewildered. She looked horrible.
"Ji...vo do din pehle Pachmarhi se jo aadmi adm...

Guddan could no longer decipher her words. Pachmarhi!! Vaha se toh do din pehle..AJ...! Guddan stumbled back and fell on the cemented pavement. Her mind blanked out. It can't be. Aisa ho hi nhi sakta. Operation was successful. Im...impo..possible!! Impossible!!

Guddan stood up quickly and broke into a run while her tears flowed out non-stop. "This can't be! AJ is innocent. Lord Krishna unke saath aisa kar hi nhi sakte! No... Guddan started murmuring in utter disbelief as she threw open the Hospital doors and started running in the corridor, knocking people in her way. All the while Akshat's scowls, his care, their fights, his smirks ran in front of her eyes and then surfaced his body smeared with blood as a white sheet was pulled over his head!

Guddan's heart stopped for a second and she collided into a man and fell on the floor. "Nhi! AJ ko kuch nhi hoga...nhi, nhi... she looked on straight into nothingness as her hands started feeling numb and her brain registered the nurse's words.

"vo do din pehle ek aadmi admit hua tha na...overconcussion ke kaaran uski sar kin ass fatt gayi or bechara... These words kept repeating themselves over and over in her head until Guddan could take it no more and shouted out AJ's name in extreme agony.

"AJJJ!!!!! And her dam broke down. She kept on shouting his name over and over and over, until the news became too much to bear and she almost fainted when a nurse caught her. The same one who was keeping her informed about AJ.

"Aap yaha?? Aapke husband under observation hain abhi bhi... Nurse spoke, to which Guddan's eyes flew open and she held nurse's hands desperately. "Is he ok? Is he al..alive? Guddan stammered as her hands trembled.

"Ji haa par... And before nurse could complete her sentence, Guddan was up on her feet and was running straight for the room. As she reached his room, she looked inside through the window to see mask attached to his nose while the machine beeped. Guddan smiled, letting go of the breath that had gotten stuck somewhere and had pushed the door of room ajar when her wrist was caught by someone. Turning around, she met Durga's eyes.

"Kaha tha na tumse ki yaha mat aana, chalo yaha se.. Durga threatened and started to pull Guddan but failed. Turning around shocked, she found Guddan holding her ground with determination underlining her features.

"Tumhari itni himmat ki... Durga was caught off-guard when Guddan jerked her hand off her wrist and spoke in a dead set tone, "Hum ek baar AJ ko dekh le, fir khud hi chale jayenge. Jab tak hum nhi chahenge, KOI BHI humein yahan se nhi nikaal sakta.KOI BHI humein hamare pati se milne se nhi rok sakta!!

Durga fumed at Guddan's audacity and was about to pull Guddan back, when Kishore stopped her. Durga tried to argue with Kishore but he shook his head in negative and Durga looked on as Guddan entered inside.

Guddan looked at AJ sleeping peacefully and stepped closer to him. She bit back a sob on seeing his forehead wrapped in layers of bandages. The scene of his head getting smashed passed in front of her eyes and she raised her fingers and threaded them leisurely through his locks. As her eyes raked over his profile, they stopped at his hand and moving closer, she cupped his palm in her palms and raising it to her lips, kissed his knuckles.

"Humein pata tha ki aapko kuch nhi hoga! You are a thick headed man after all! Guddan slightly chuckled and was softly placing his hand back on the bed, when his fingers moved.

Surprised, she looked at his face as his eyes opened slightly and looked at her. Guddan smiled and shouted, "Aj...AJ ko hosh aa gayaaa!! Brimming with happiness, Guddan moved closer and caressed his cheek.

As the entire family rushed in, AJ moved his lips in inaudible gestures as everyone moved closer.

"Guddan...tum...the.eek ho...AJ whispered, but everyone heard it.

Daughter-in-law's eyes widened in disbelief. He was worried about the woman who put him in danger. What sorcery is this?!

Guddan nodded tearfully to which AJ blinked his eyes in acceptance. And before long, his eyelids drooped and he went into slumber.

I know it's a bit boring😆 but it was important to write it. Hope you all have a good time reading it..

Its not a boring its a very important part of guddan immense pain and love realization towards aj.

This was my prime reason for writing it :), to show what sort of state Guddan is in..

Every action and expression of guddan express that guddan is in love...she cant afford to lost aj.now guddan and aj is like one soul and one heart : )
