Part 1 -A Showery Night

Akshat massaged his head worried. His life felt like a scandal gossip direct out of Page 3, all because of one woman, no, one impulsive, thick headed, nonsensical, immature entity wearing garb of a woman. She was no woman, more like an annoying bratty kid hiding in a woman's body.

"AHHHH!!"

As a banshee like scream echoed through the entire Jindal House, Akshat sighed in defeat. After all, he had intentionally thrown his leg on axe, more like, the axe had fallen right onto his head.

"What happened?!" He asked irritated, knocking on the bath's door.

No response.

"Have the courtesy to reply at least!"

He hissed, furrowing his brows.

"Uncle help!" A low voice came from inside when he was about to go away.

"What exactly happened? Is it a lizard again?" He asked half expecting her to spill her entire dictionary of limited threats out at him. But none came, except the wetness he felt against his sole.

Looking down, he saw water flowing out of bath, into the room.

"Guddan, are you fine?" He asked getting worried. It was highly possible for a clutz like her to drown in a bath tub.

"Damn it!" He cursed and pushed with full force against the door.

"Guddan, are you alri...." His words of worry died in his throat at the sight that greeted him.
Guddan was pressing her both palms against the wall as water jumped out in all directions from in between her fingers.

Why did he even bother?!!

"Why the hell is tap broken? Were you wrestling with it?!"He half barked, when a spray of water came and wiped his glasses clean.

He wiped the water off quickly and exasperated, called out to her."Hold it for 5 minutes, I am calling the plumber"

"What are you saying? Don't murmur within your head! I can't hear you!" Guddan shouted closing her eyes against the high pressure water jumping right into her.

Leaning a little closer, but out of water's reach, Akshat spoke yet again."I am saying that hold the tap..."

As her ears picked up some slightly decipherable murmurs of 'i am saying..', she moved a step or two in his direction as her press against the pipe hole loosened.

Too involved in trying to decode his speech, she had just removed her one hand to keep it against her ear, when water jumped out with full pressure directly onto Akshat.

"What the hell are you doing?" He gurgled as water hit him.
Her eyes widened and thus she removed the other hand too, in her desperation to explain the reason of her actions.

Realization came too late, as water sprayed out in all directions drenching her and Akshat from head to toe.

She turned away from the tap's direction to protect herself against direct hit of water.
He turned around too, and removed his glasses, massaging his eyes to remove the blurriness.

"Don't turn away like an idiot! Close the hole!" He ordered.

This offended Guddan. How dare this naya nawela husband of hers try to order her around!

"Why dont you use your swelled arms?"

"What?" He thundered but she cut him.

"It really is swelling?! Has the side effects of old age started showing, you arrogant geezer!?" she retorted.

"How dare you?!" He turned around snarling when the water showed its prowess, forcing Akshat's eyes shut yet again.

"You won't be able to do it, U-N-C-L-E!" She smirked and turned around to cover the hole when a 'bulky' hand shot out and pulled her away. Before Guddan could process the situation, Akshat swiftly moved closer to the wall and rammed his super-wide back against the hole, with Guddan safely tucked in his embrace.

She struggled in his embrace but to no avail. He was strong.

And suddenly Akshat pulled her closer, flushed against his wet body, shocking Guddan.
She looked up ready to give him a piece of mind when he leaned his head down too and their faces stopped inches apart from each others.

"Nothing is impossible, for AJ!" He announced with an almost smug look on his face.
Guddan couldn't retort. In that moment, her barely holding processor had crashed down.
It was when, he pressed her close yet again, she regained her non existent senses and started squirming again.

"Let me go!"She hissed trying to push his hands away.

Are you a retard? If pressure against the water decreased, water will throw up in all directions and in this position you might as well end up kissing the ground, with me on top. And I am quite sure that I'll still be very much fine" he explained, as they glared daggers at each other. If these daggers could materialize, it would have been a bloodbath.

"Papa!"

"AJ!"

The bahus and sons came shouting, when saru shouted about how water was flowing out of AJ's room, into hallway.

"What the....." Lakshmi barely completed her words when the scene in front put her in a state of comatose paralysis.

Saru looked on wide eyed as her saas and sasur were locked in a passionate embrace.

And Durga glared at guddan. She had the audacity to make a mess, even after the drama she did!

"Don't stand like a fool! The pipe's broken, cut off the water supply from tanker!" Akshat shouted as one of the son rushed out quickly.

Few minutes later, as Akshat felt the pressure against his back relax, he loosened his hold on Guddan and awkwardly, both moved away.

"Papa, I have called the plumber but all this...."

Akshat looked on confused as Kishore turned his head to the other direction. AJ turned to Vardaan confused and he did the same.

As he turned to his side, he found Guddan standing clueless as ever, as her suit clung to her form like a second skin showing a little more than necessary.Quickly he pulled a towel from the cabinet and wrapped it around her.

Guddan looked up only to see his face turned away.Mr. AJ is a complicated man.

"Durga bahu, get Mrs Jindal into a set of dry clothes immediately.I don't want her to catch a cold and spread it to me".

Nope, definitely an akdu with no saving. Guddan pouted at him as the bahus took her away.

Part 4 (b) - Mistaken Proximity

It seemed like he was talking on phone and didn't plan to move anytime soon.

And this place was dangerous, the house was brimming with people and if accidentally, someone saw them...a scandal was bound to follow!

AJ took in a deep breath. This needed to be done.

"Guddan.." he whispered.

She looked at him confused.

"Don't shriek", and before Guddan could process his words, AJ hugged her close, skin tight.

Guddan's eyes flew open, in shock. She didn't know why, but her breath hitched and her heart rate suddenly accelerated. An odd feeling raced through her spine making her shudder. Was she ill?

Akshat hugged Guddan close, dipping his face in her neck, one arm going over her shoulders while other encircled her waist.

"Ye aap kya..." she tried to protest, but her face was muffled in his coat.

"Shut up! Don't raise your face either, someone is here!", Akshat hissed menacingly as he raised his eyes slightly to see the man on other side of stairs, leave while shaking his head.

Guddan squirmed uncomfortably. His hands were all over her back! (Over the pallu)

" Agar aapne apne haath wahan se nhi hataye na, main aapko kadhai main tal doongi!", Guddan threatened Akshat as she closed her teeth over whatever came in her mouth.

His brows rose, shocked as he looked at his palms that were touching her back and he removed them quickly.

"Why the hell is this Parv not going away?" Akshat spoke to himself, trying to escape Guddan's glares.

Out of options, he turned to look at her.

Guddan expected an explanation for his abrupt action but he repeated the same stunt again and pulled her closer.

Frustrated at the strange way, her body was feeling, she pinched his waist as tightly as possible. Akshat winced.

But she wouldn't stop and dug her extra-long nail into his kurta ,into his waist.

"Arre, kya kar rahi ho?!Tumhara blouse set kar raha hu!!" Akshat explained to prevent the barrage of tortures his nayi biwi was throwing at him, or his expensive coat.

"Kese!?" Guddan enquired, continuing with her chinese assault.

"Rukooo, ek minute!" AJ hissed, his lips twitching.

And with that, he pulled out 2 bobby pins, out of her hair. In reply, Guddan pinched him extra hard and AJ winced.

"Kitni mushkil se baal set kiye the!Aapne bigaad diye!!' She whined.

"Agar saree dhang se baandhti toh ye naubat nhi aati", he chided her, while catching hold of the right hand, whose fingers she was using to pinch and scratch him.

"Saree theek hi thi jab mene daali, Hook loose tha toh main kya karu!! Or mera haath chodiye!" Guddan warned trying to twist her wrist out of his grip.

"Can't you stay quiet?I can't fix your blouse with one hand and to use my other hand, i need to let go of yours and unless and until you promise to stop this torture, I won't let go!" Akshat explained, impatience surfacing in his tone. They had been at it for too long. Pooja would be over anytime and they will be doomed.

In reply, Guddan snorted in defiance and poked his kurta, over stomach.

And Akshat lost it.

"Fine, we can just stand here embracing each other in this dark corner while your blouse is threatening to come off. When someone walks in on us, they'll think that we were having a rendezvous because we couldn't keep our hormones in check", Akshat grunted.

Guddan's eyes widened.

Rendezvous?! With AJ uncle!! Yuck!

"Theek hai...theek hai, jaldi se kijiye!" Guddan replied helplessly and hugged him. Akshat slowly removed her veil as her back was exposed to him and he gulped.

His fingers shivered, as he tried to pierce the pin through blouse. He was trying his level best to avoid touching her back but his forefinger slightly touched her back causing her back to arch away from his touch, involuntarily.

"Sorry, vo galti se..."Akshat apologised, fisting his hand.

Guddan nodded meekly, " Aap kar dijiye"

And finally with great deal of efforts, Akshat pierced the pin through both edges of blouse, temporarily holding them together.

"Ho gaya!" Both had just sighed in relief when a voice called out to them.

"Akshat!"

Guddan's eyes widened. Akshat, who had his back towards the open side, stiffened to stillness and Guddan let out her name in shock, "Paulomi aunty!".

Confused, Paulomi moved closer.

Akshat hadn't yet made an attempt to move away from his compromising position.

"Mujhe nhi pata tha ki Akshat Jindal itna romantic hai!Guddan is still a child, but you are so mature and yet you are having a rendezvous, here!" Paulomi spoke, a mischievous grin spreading to her lips.

"Don't be ridiculous!" Akshat retorted exasperated.

"Is there anyone else here!?" He asked.

Paulomi looked around and said, "No..."

With that, Akshat moved away, with his palm still latched to Guddan's back, trying to hold the blouse in place.

"Pooja ho gayi kya?" He asked.

"Bas hone wali hai. I had went out to recieve an important call and while coming in, my eyes fell on you", she replied.

"Do you have safety pins?" He asked monotonously, not bothering to reply in kind.

"Haa..par.." Paulomi replied confused when AJ cut in.

"Then help her out quickly", he ordered in his usual no nonsense tone and left from there.

As he hurried off, Guddan held her blouse while Paulomi looked at AJ's retreating form in amusement.

"Antara tumhari aakhiri iccha, Akshat ki zindagi mein jaan foonk hi degi!"

Part 37 Baahein ye teri

"Why is it so quite? Akshat wondered stepping into the hall.

It was 4 pm, the exact time when his mother should have been praying by Kanha's side, along with his bahus. Not to mention that Vardaan and Kishore were let off early too. Where was everyone?

Brushing the though aside, as Akshat ascended the stairs, his heart started getting heavy. Once again, another day yet again he'll have to see her quiet.

Clenching his teeth, as Akshat threw the doors open, he saw his family members surrounding the bed. And he could see a doctor too!

Guddan!

"What happenend? He shouted, scared shitless.

Everyone turned around to face him, his face as pale as a ghost.

"Why is the doctor here? Kya hua hai?! Is Guddan OK?! Akshat demanded.

"Why don't you look for yourself, lalla? Dadi spoke up.

"Maa, aap ye kya... Akshat had started off confused as everyone stepped away from the bed to give him a clear view of Guddan.

His eyes widened as the bag he was holding slipped from his hands and then he dropped to his knees. A lone tear escaped his right eye as he looked at Guddan.

Up and awake.

"Jindal saab?! Guddan croaked, worried.

He was not dreaming. This was real. How badly he had missed these two words!

Suddenly feeling overwhelmed, he scampered hastily on his feet and rushing to Guddan, enveloped her in his embrace.

"I-I tho-ought I'd n-never see...y..you again! Akshat whimpered crushing her closer, trying to revel in her warmth, trying to make himself believe that this was real.

Guddan could feel his tears seep through her kurta and tightened her hold on his shoulders, "Neither did I!

"Where is my hug, saasu maa?! It was when Lakshmi whined that Akshat and Guddan realised that they were not alone and released each other.

"Aaiye na, Lakshmi bahu, Guddan signalled Lakshmi who smiled through her teary eyes and hugged Guddan.

Akshat stepped away and discussed things with doctor while looking as the others greeted Guddan. All the while, Durga was standing behind, not knowing what to do.

She had just turned around to leave when Guddan's voice stopped her, "Are you not happy to see me awake, Durga bahu?

"I'm happy Guddan but I'm not sure if you'd want to see me, Durga spoke up, her back still turned to Guddan.

"Why would that be? Guddan asked clueless.

"Because I jeopardized your life...that day i-if I... Durga stammered.

"You didn't ask me to save you; I jumped in the middle out of my own free will. You have nothing to be guilty about...

"I see...thank you.. Durga whispered as she left the room.

Soon everyone dispersed leaving Guddan and Akshat alone. As Akshat bolted the door, Guddan called out to him, "Jindal saab! and his spine stiffened.

He turned around trying to control the tears threatening to break through. "What is it? He spoke roughly.

Guddan smiled, "Humein laga nhi tha ki hum kabhi firse aapki daant sun payenge.

He spoke nothing and turned his face down. It was getting harder and harder.

"Didn't I tell you not to hide your tears from me?

Akshat looked up as a soft touch caressed his face and wiped the tears away. His eyes displayed vulnerability.

"Aur humein laga tha ki aap humein hug karenge! Guddan pouted almost offended.

This dense man could never take a hint! She had indeed decided to be more vocal about her affections but that doesn't mean she had to take lead in everything. How anno...

Her train of thought was interrupted as he pulled her close and turning her face upwards, swooped her lips in his. The eyes that had widened in shock, eased as she felt the wetness from his eyes staining her face. The kiss was gentle and full of yearning.

"Never do that again...I won't be able to live without you! Akshat whispered pulling away as he cupped her face in his palms.

Guddan nodded as he pulled her in a hug. The affections are mutual.

"It tickles! Guddan giggled as he nuzzled his nose into her neck.

"Bear with it then, He breathed.

"Gladly! Clutching his shirt, she muffled her face into his shoulder too, to make up for the warmth she had been missing since the past 45 days.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Um...Akshat ji?!

"Hm...

"Why are we...you know...sleeping like this? Guddan blushed.

They were in a very very compromising position, according to her. About a few minutes ago, she had been peacefully lying on her side of the bed when a muscular arm pulled her from her space and slammed her into a rock hard surface, his chest. Her side was being occupied by a wall of pillows while they were cocooned in a bare minimum space. As of right now, Guddan tried to tear her gaze away from the minute hairs peeking from in between the open buttons in his kurta. His chin was right atop her head and his left hand was serving as a pillow for her while the right one was firmly wrapped over her waist. They were too close for her comfort. The warmth emanating from his body was making her heady, not to mention her disobedient fingers who refused to listen to her head and were trying to see for themselves how that growth on his chest would feel like.

This was an extremely bad situation for her. They were too close. Yes...they had hugged and even kissed on occasions but this situation was just...next level. For her, kiss had been the biggest and the best thing that ever happened between them. But this proximity was driving her crazy.

She felt a little...no absolutely weird. Her insides were on fire, a ususal occurrence in his vicinity but...she felt a little uncomfortable, the good kind of uncomfortable.

Good kind of uncomfortable!? What's that?' She thought, trying to ignore the feeling of his hand under her waist.

Stop being creepy about it!' She chided herself but was feeling weirder and weirder by the minute.

"Akshat Ji? Guddan asked yet again realizing that he hadn't yet replied to her.

In response, his body moved a bit and before she knew, she was jerked close out of the blue as her lips landed on his chest.

Akshat groaned. He had been trying to keep himself in check but she kept on moving like a little minx. It was exciting him!

"I did that because otherwise you'll fall off the bed later and injure yourself. I'll take no risks, He spoke up as Guddan felt his adam's apple bob over her head.

"Toh aap neeche gadda...

"Nhi

"Toh hum neeche gadde par...

"Nhi

"Par...

"Nhi

"Par humein..

"So jao Guddan

"Par humein ajeeb lag raha hai! Guddan let out exasperated that he wouldn't hear her out.

She bit her tongue as she looked up into his eyes that were staring back curiously.

"Ajeeb? He repeated.

"Haa...voh..matlab How could she explain that it was her intentions?!

She had no clue if it was darkness of the night or the silence being perforated with their breathing, either way she had some really indecent thoughts going on in her head.

"Humein garmi lag rahi hai?

"AC main? Akshat raised his eyes amused.

"Haa...humein ghutan ho rahi hai aise..

"You don't like it? He asked, feeling a little uneasy.

She sensed that he had taken her complaint in the wrong sense and quickly corrected herself, "I meant that...can I just turn my head to the other side?

Akshat loosened his hold as Guddan turned her face away from him and once again his arm came to lie over her.

And soon he was asleep. She, on the other hand was regretting this decision even more. She was being spooned in his huge frame, literally! And this position was driving her insane. His hot breath was teasing the back of her neck whilst his palm was almost in contact with her stomach.

However her breath got stuck as he pulled her back in his sleep and his lips caressed the back of her neck. Guddan let out a voice she didn't know she had and quickly clamped her lips shut so as not to disturb him. This was going to be a long night.

While Akshat on the other hand, was sleeping peacefully for the first time in so many days. He had his world in his arms...

Tada! On popular demand, Guddan is up...and I gave you a delicious Akshan scene too~🥳

Praise me!⭐️

Anyway, I apologize for not replying to your comments this time. My final exams are on head so I probably won't be able to reply to you all or reply at all for that matter, so don't feel offended and definitely don't think that I'm purposely ignoring anyone or something like that.😛

And even though I may not be replying, I will definitely be reading your views so continue to grace me with them..😃

Part 6 - Not me, Not you, It's US

Bure khane se hui subah ki buri shuruat ka bura nateeja AJ ke employees ne chukaya. He literally made them hop on one leg. Every food he tasted felt ten times worse. His taste buds felt damaged to point of no return and his mood was way beyond the moon!

"This is wrong!! Hubby disappeared like Mr. India the instant Guddan warned about the food, why couldn't I become Mrs India!, Lakshmi whined while rolling all over the bed holding her stomach.

"The food w...was in...e.d..edible and yet dadi forced us to ea...baaarfff!, Saru's complaint from inside the toilet was cut by her vomits.

"We paid for messing with Guddan the wrong way. We targeted a woman's dignity and this is our punishment, Durga proclaimed standing like a statue, surprisingly immune to the effects of poisonous food.

"So should we just accept her? Lakshmi asked shocked.

"Nhi, we've been doing things the wrong way. One thing is very clear, if AJ didn't burst at her even after eating that' food, then there is no way he is going to oust Guddan from his life, no matter what mess she creates, unless Guddan wishes to walk out on her own, Durga explained, immersed in thoughts.

"Vo chidiya kyu chodegi AJ ko, she married him by cheating! Lakshmi retorted.

"And yet, this nagging feeling in the back of my brain says that there is something we don't know...and knowing that information will help us to remove Guddan from our lives, Durga pondered hard, raising her right eyebrow.

# # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # #

Guddan plopped on the bed, disappointed. How was she even capable of concocting such disastrous mess in the name of food? Even after following the Utube...orrr maybe not, Guddan reminisced how mistakenly she had emptied the jar of red chilly in the rajma, when she was asked to put a spoon or two.

Guddan looked at the volume of sarees and suits scattered over the mattress, given as a gift of her first rasoi by Dadi. Dadi was way too good to be true.

Now, to stuff them into the closet.

She got up from the bed, and opened the closet, only to be amazed by the size of it. It was almost like another room, the north wall was lined up with coats, overcoats, suits, shirts, traditionals and what not! This collection could put any mall to shame!! On the eastern wall was a gigantic wardrobe. As she pulled the first rack towards her side, a collection of watches revealed themselves. Impressed, she opened the other rack to come across a collection of ties- striped, dotted, plains...everything. And as she opened the last rack, her eyes widened comically.

Spectacles- with a variety of funky frames that were totally not uncle's style. Aviators, cat eyed, without rim and others that she had no clue about.

Strange! Even after owning masses of them, he wears those spects', she wondered to herself, confused.

And the western wall was lined with all types of footwears, at various levels just like in malls! Guddan looked at the collection of sharp tipped shiny boots of various colours and mammoth sizes but what caught her eyes was the pair of neon coloured sneaker, which was way too gaudy even for her own tastes!

AJ uncle ke shauk unki tarah anutthe hai' she thought and moved towards the northern wall and slid the door of almirah to left to reveal space.

# # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # #

Akshat entered his room tired. It was certainly peaceful.

Peaceful!?

AJ looked around the room confused, where was Guddan?

"Well whatever! At least I can breathe in some peace, Akshat spoke to himself and entered his closet.

# # # # # # # # # # # # #

Guddan sat by the poolside, dipping her legs in the chilled water. This felt nice. She tried to comfort herself but failed miserably. She had married AJ but what now? She didn't think it through and now guilt was gnawing at her. Just because she thought he was a good man, to save him from Shweta, she had messed her life. The reality came crashing on her today as the trideviyan were forced to eat the food she made. She is now their mother-in-law. She could hardly become a good daughter to his mummy, has failed in the test of being a big sister to her chutki and now, she not only has daughter in laws to look after, but also a mother-in-law, 3 grown up sons' and a very grown up' husband. And for the most part till now, he had been the one looking after her. Plus she was a replacement, a terrible one at that, of a woman who holds a man's heart even after her demise. After all, this was the only reason why AJ had accepted her because his late wife wished for him to move on.

"I wonder what he was like when she was alive, Guddan spoke to herself, leaning back.

However, she came face to face with Parv and almost lost her balance, when he held her in the middle.

"What a luck I have, to have crossed paths with you! Parv smirked flirtatiously as Guddan straightened away from him and stood up.

"Tum! What are you doing here? Guddan shouted.

"Jo aap kar rahi thi, he replied moving closer.

Guddan stood her ground and snapped her fingers at him. "Main tumhe apni chutki ki zindagi se bahar nikalne ki taiyaari kar rahi hu!

He caught her forefinger and smirked, while she tried to retract it.

"Chaliye, issi bahane hamari mulakat toh hui, bhabhiji, he spoke menacingly moving a step closer.

Guddan backed off ready to blast him off when her feet slipped on the water spilled at edges of pool and she started falling backward. Parv couldn't let go of her finger in time, and started falling too. And as Guddan flailed her hands, a black robe clad arm caught her wrist and stopped her fall while Parv fell in the water.

Guddan found herself staring at Akshat and as a splash sound echoed, Akshat pulled her towards himself, into his arms. Surprised, she stared at the expanse of tanned chest and slowly looked up to see Mr. Husband, looking beyond her. She turned her neck around while in his hold, to see Parv appear from under the water, coughing water. His situation made her laugh. Chuckling, she stepped out of AJ's hold and leaned by the pool's side.

"Tch!Tch! Tum toh gir gaye! Aur kitna giroge Perv, P-E-R-V!, she shook her head at him.

Guddan backed off as Parv stepped out of the pool, dripping heavily. As he combed his hair back with his hands, he moved towards Guddan only to come across AJ.

"I asked you to keep your distance from her AJ remarked coolly.

Parv looked past AJ, at Guddan and smiled. "Arre AJ, aap toh jealous ho gaye! Hum aur bhabhiji toh bas yu hi... Parv trailed off.

Guddan furrowed her brows and came to the front. "Main aur tum kya? Kitna jhooth bolte ho! Guddan pointed, surprised.

"Chalo Guddan, iske muh mat lago! AJ remarked and started dragging her away, whilst Guddan turned around and stared daggers at him.

"Abhi tak toh nahin lagi, par baad mein... Parv trailed off in a cheap tone.

Akshat's steps halted. He let go of Guddan's hand and turning around, approached Parv. As they came face to face, Parv smirked yet again.

"Aap toh bura maan g... and before he could complete his sentences, long fingers wrapped around his neck and lifted him off the ground.

Guddan's eyes widened and she came running towards them. She held AJ's arm and tried to pull him away. "Chodiye, Kya kar rahe hain!? Guddan asked, trying to shake him out of it.

"THIS IS MY WIFE, you are talking about. You should know ki Akshat Jindal ki biwi se badtameezi karne ka anjaam kya hota hai, you swine!! AJ threatened, lifting him higher up.

"Let him go! Chodiye use! He will die! Why are you dirtying your hands? Guddan spoke, trying to loosen his grip.

Akshat's nose scrunched and he moved Parv in right direction, in air. "I am letting it slide this time. But next time if I even saw the ghost of your shadow hovering anywhere in her vicinity, you'll be dead! AJ threatened and dropped Parv, right into the pool.

"Chaliye! and Guddan held his wrist and starting pulling him away, while Akshat turned around and a glaring competition ensued between him and a very angry Parv.

So how was it? I was kinda low on ideas for this one, however I believe it's important for Guddan to start exploring various aspects of AJ's life😊

Part 7 - Arguement of Understanding

As the clock struck 2, Durga leaned back and was having a peaceful moment with her novel , when a noise disrupted her peace. Groaning😵, she lifted her ass off the sofa and stepped out of the room, only to hear AJ chanting her name.

"Kahiye AJ! She asked, leaning over the railing.

"I have forgotten the Merger contract' file on my bed, bring it to me! He replied, looking up.

Durga nodded, helpless as ever and started dragging herself to his room.

He has a wife now! At least itna toh Guddan se ho payega! Or forget about being a mother-in-law, Guddan can't even become a decent maid to AJ' Durga thought annoyed as she pushed open the door of AJ's room and found the file lying on bed.

As Durga descended down the stairs, lost in her own frustrations, Guddan rushed past AJ like a toofan mail and their shoulders brushed, or she barely survived having her clavicle displaced.

Guddan turned around, shocked and glared🤔 at AJ, who, as expected, didn't feel a thing. AJ had been staring at his watch trying his best to ignore those bin-baat-ki' glares but he knew better, unless and until he responded, she was going to continue with the routine.

Raising his head, he turned his face in her direction and made a confused😕 expression at her.

Guddan's eyes widened😳. In response, she raised her left eyebrow as her lips twitched a cm and raised her forefinger at him.Zyada bhole mat baniye'

Akshat shook his head hopelessly🤔, Tum hi Chennai express ki tarah bhaag rahi thi!'

Ha toh! Meri marzi! Aapko kisne kaha tha beech raste mein mogambo ki tarah khade hone ke liye'😵

Seriously! When are you going to grow up and accept your mistakes🤓', AJ raised both his brows in reponse.

Ha, Ha...Saari galtiyaan main hi toh karti hu! Koi aur kaam nhi hai kya? Jab dekho sunate rahte ho, sunnane ka itna shauk hai toh teacher bann jao na!😳' Guddan recommended.

You are the one whose tape recorder won't shut up 24*7 aur sunata main hu!🤔' AJ pointed, nodding his head.

Meanwhile Durga stood on the steps, as her eyes moved between AJ and Guddan who had been exchanging looks for the past 10 minutes. Lakshmi could have mistaken these looks for glances' bu,t she knew better. A silent conversation was going on, and not a pleasant one for sure, she deduced.

Aur nhi toh kya! Who was the one who jumped at the opportunity of screaming at me and grilled me with lectures last night?🤢' Guddan asked.

Oh! So it's about that, tumhe kal bhi bola tha aaj fir keh raha hu, I was just telling you to keep away from Parv!😳

Toh! Main thodi chalkar use hi' bolne gayi thi' Guddan emphasised.😕

Durga looked at AJ as he massaged his temples. He was getting exasperated and so was she, if only they would turn up the volume! This whole decoding thing was going over her head.

I know! But what was the need to go towards pool, that late at night. That area is secluded.🤓

"Toh aap kya chahte ho ki main bahar bhi na niklu, you want to restrict my freedom!' Guddan accused.🤬

I didn't mean that! Why do you always twist my words🤔?!' AJ asked, no more able to feel surprised.

Ha, toh should I hire a bodyguard?! Or are you interested in taking up the position, Pati Dev!'Guddan smiled, dripping with honey.

AJ clapped his palms in front of his face, Maaf kar do! It was my fault for trying to teach you!'😵

Durga's eyes widened. Was AJ admitting defeat?!

Guddan smirked triumphantly, Aapke sunane ke liye main aapki bahu nhi hu, I am your wife!' At this Akshat looked at her surprised and then only Guddan realised, what she had thought. This time their gazes locked, and the moment went still. Durga looked at the duo, Guddan looked genuinely confused but AJ, his eyes were unreadable yet there was this unexplainable feeling. What was even happening?!

Guddan quickly glared at him and pouted, in defiance.

AJ shook his head at her antiques😳, Kitna hi muh bana lo, you won't be getting anymore reaction out of me!'

Acha ji! Aisa kuch bhi nhi hai jo Guddan se naa ho payega!' Guddan raised her finger defiantly.😉

And soon Durga's eyes widened like saucers, What the hell was Guddan doing??!

AJ raised his brows, feigning to be impressed as Guddan stuck her tongue out and rolled her eyes around in comical ways. As she stole a glance at him, AJ showed her a thumbs up👍🏼 and then turned it down👎🏼.

Huffing, Guddan racked her brains for anymore strategies. As a bulb lit over her head, she clicked her fingers in realisation and as she raised her head, AJ went still. She was flashing her incisors by biting her lower lip and pressing her upper lip towards inside and then danced her brows alternatively.🤪

Shaking his head, AJ spoke, "Are you going to keep on standing, Durga bahu?

This startled Durga and she jumped up, "Ji AJ!

AJ knew that she was here witnessing the whole drama and yet he engaged in childish antiques with Guddan, at the expanse of his important work!'😲

As Durga handed AJ his file, he glanced back to see Guddan throwing tantrums in defeat. She was murmuring to herself, as always. As her final funny face popped up in his brain, he suppressed a smile😆 and murmured, "Pagal ladki! and left from there.

While Guddan convinced herself that she had not failed😵, that AJ's facial muscles were just suffering from joint pain due to old age🤔, Durga stared at AJ's retreating form feeling tensed.

"Since the time Guddan has entered AJ's life, he had started doing things, he could not even think about. True, Guddan may not be able to organize his life but it didn't feel farfetched to think that she may be able to make him appreciate a disorderly life with unpredictable situations, Durga spoke to herself as the scene from previous morning resurfaced in the back of her head, how AJ was openly flirting with Guddan and how, Guddan and AJ were actually able to converse, without speaking out loud.

Bells of understanding are starting to get louder and louder. Before this understanding promotes to something else, she needs to oust Guddan from AJ's life or AJ, probably, would end up getting a wife but she, saru and Lakshmi will continue to be the burden bearers, their entire life.

So how's it?

Part 12- The HoneyMoon Royale

AJ massaged his head exasperated. What was the destiny plotting? There were no seats in flight from Jaisalmer to Indore for the next two days, due to holiday season and as of right now, all hotels he had searched were house full. And thus, he was going to the hotel, his mother has booked for them.

On the other side, Guddan was totally enjoying the royal feels of her room. She has long forgotten AJ uncle and was absolutely immersed in her Rani Padmavati fantasies. The room was a mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture, decorated with artefacts from 18th century. The ambience due to lantern lighting was altogether exotic and the manner in which Guards were standing at the entrance with spears crossed, totally gave a fairy tale feel.

"Where the hell are you taking me?! AJ enquired troubled, seeing that the Jeep was going deeper and deeper into the desert, where there were no signs of civilization and the vegetation was becoming even sparse.

"Banna sa, aapka hotel, Desert Luxury, Thar ke beechon beech hai...thane bero koni ke?! The jeep driver asked in his local dialect, making AJ's eyes furrow in confusion.

"Bero...what?! AJ repeated, not getting the point.

"Pardon the inconvenience sir but it's hard to let go of your mother tongue...what I meant was that your hotel Desert Luxury is situated in the midst of Thar desert, don't you know that?! The driver repeated.

"Ohh! AJ exclaimed and sat quite. He was not going to say that his wife has left him stranded on the airport and had run off leaving him clueless.

As soon as AJ got down the Jeep, his eyes almost popped out. Has he travelled back in time? Because the guards standing at entrance with their spears and heavy moustaches, seemed to have appeared right out of history books.

"Khamagani sa! The guards spoke in unison, folding their hands in front of him as a mark of respect for the guest.

AJ nodded, not getting what they meant and entered inside. The hotel was of a palatial setting with big chandeliers hanging over his head whilst tiger skin and swords and armours graced the white marble walls. He was certainly impressed with the grace of the palace and approached the reception.

The duo at the reception were unlike the ones he had ever seen. Both were decked up in traditional nomadic attire. The woman was decorated head to toe from jewellery including maangtika, necklace and bangles that went beyond her elbow. The man had turban over his head while big piercing graced his ears.

"Khamagani sa! Welcome to Desert Luxury, How can we help you? The woman greeted Akshat folding her hands to which he only nodded.

"I have a room booked here in the name of Akshat Jindal...

"Sure sir, let me check, the woman replied and checked her computer.

"Yes sir, Suite 003 is booked in your name and your wife is already here...Thakkar singh, please help sir to his suite..

And at her call, a middle aged man with magnanimous moustache appeared, though Akshat had no luggage to be taken care off.

As they walked through the cool sand, Akshat looked around. It was 9 pm and the dark spell of night was being beautifully dissipated by mashaals. The air felt cool and refreshing with slight smell of the sand.

As AJ reached the suite, his eyes widened in disbelief. What the hell? It was a freaking tent where men with big burly moustaches were standing guard. The suite was absolutely isolated from the palace, save for two other tents he could make out in the distance.

"Is this the suite? He asked incredulously and continued, "Is it even safe?! I don't see any doors and without doors, there can be no bolts!

"No need to worry sir, the tent setting is a cover up, we do have solid walls and doors in there A man showed up and replied.

"And who might you be?! AJ asked.

"Myself, Vikram Singh and I'll be your attendant during your stay, the man spoke and bowed down in greeting.

Akshat only nodded in absolute confusion and once he stepped beyond the entrance of tents, he was met by the door which opened by the swipe of his card.

Entering inside, he looked around in absolute amazement. Wasn't his mother a master planner? What was with this 18th century royal setting!! As he looked around, he picked up a container off the table which he supposed was a silver goblet for wine. Very fancy!! Continuing with his exploration, he arrived at a painting where Maharana Pratap was shown on his horse, Chetak fighting with invaders. As he reached the bed, he almost fell on his back when he saw two women standing by the bedpost with big ass fans in their hands.

"Welcome your majesty! They greeted, and AJ looked behind himself to check who were they calling the majesty'. Surprisingly, it was him. As he distanced himself from them, he stepped in front of hearth where fire was lit. The rug under his feet looked like Cheetah skin and the silver sword hanging on the wall made him feel like he was preparing for a battle.

Talking of battle, Where was Guddan?!

Guddan was soaking in the bath filled with rose petals, turmeric and milk while two female attendants, poured water over her in a serene flow. The bathroom was lit with lanterns and was scented with fragrance from agarbattis. As Guddan stepped out of the bath, a towel was wrapped around her body and she smiled in absolute delight. Dadi ne toh kamaal hi kar diyaa!! Maharani kya, patrani wali feel aa rhi hai!!

As the clueless AJ stepped inside, in search of his wife, his shoes slipped on the wet smooth floor and he fell forward right into Guddan, who fell back right into the bath, accompanied by AJ. And the extra concerned attendants disappeared stealthily, not without pulling the curtains.

"Aap!? Yaha?!Guddan shouted as both resurfaced from under the water, in each other's arms.

"Main yaha ka kya matlab hai? Tumhare saath hi aaya tha! Bhool gayi!! He shouted, spitting the rosy warm water out from his mouth.

"Main kuch nhi bhooli hu! Kisi aur hotel nhi ja sakte the kyaa!!? Mauke par chauka marne aa gaye, Dadi ne honeymoon kya kaha, aap toh... Guddan started with her blaming but he shut her up by covering her mouth with his hands.

"Chup! Ek dum chup! Thakti nhi kya bolte bolte! Mujhe bhi koi shauk nhi tha yaha aane ka par baaki hotels mein...ek minute, meri marzi, booking tumhari hi nhi, meri bhi hai yahan or main kyu jaau kahin aur, itni hi problem hai toh you are most welcome to leave, He announced glaring.

"Ah ha ha aha, ye badhiya hai, ek toh bin bulaye trip par aa gaye aur mujhe hi bhagane ki koshish kar rahe ho! Main toh nhi jaaungi! Guddan retorted, nodding her head in determination.

"Mere saare kapde geele ho gaye! AJ spoke, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Paani mein geela hi hote hain, Dhang se nhi chal sakte the, khud toh geere hi mujhe bhi geela kar diya, ab fir se nahana padega! Guddan huffed.

And soon both looked at each other in realization. Guddan looked down and AJ looked her down too and she shrieked.

"Nikaliye yahan se!!

"Ja raha hu, koi shauk nhi hai tumhe dekhne kaa! He retorted and amidst her incessant pushing stepped out of the bath, whilst she shut the door behind his back.

As Guddan stepped out of the bath, she saw AJ dressed up in dhoti and kurta, whose strings he was struggling to tie. Apparently, room service has lent him these traditional wear since the only clothes he had were soaked to the core. Shaking her head at his angry expressions, she stepped closer to him and removing his fingers, started tying the kurta.

"Main kar loonga! He spoke and tried to remove her fingers but she won't budge.

"I didn't ask you for help! He spoke, catching her fingers. At this she looked up at him annoyed and replied, "Madad maangne se aapka 6 feet ka kad ghis nhi jayega! And by the way, strings ko tie karte hain, unhe angry old man looks dekar kaam karne ke liye vo aapke bte ya bahu nhi hai!

And this shut him up and Guddan tied and crisscrossed the strings. All the while his eyes were fixed on her and he remembered a past incident.

Flashback

"Kya Akshat!? You are such a perfectionist, kabhi toh mauka diya karo help karne ka! Antara whined as Akshat smiled, buttoning up his blazer.

"Lijiye ho gaya! Guddan clapped her hands, pleased at herself and smiled at him who continued with the intense looks, which Guddan failed to catch.

"Bas ek cheez ki kami hai...ek minute! And saying this, she opened a box behind him and soon she appeared in front of him and standing on her tippy toes, made him wear the Turban.

Once done, Guddan looked him over and smiled at him impressed. "Kya baat hai! Aap toh Padmavati ke shahid kapoor ko bhi maat de rahe hain!

At this, AJ let out a small smile that Guddan noticed.

"You know what uncle, vese toh main compliments deti nahin par aapko de hi deti hu...Aap bahot ache lag rahe hain! Guddan smiled sincerely, at which Akshat looked at her surprised, his heart losing a beat. Though his wasn't the only one because Guddan's heart has skipped quite a few beats since the small surprised smile he had given. But there was one difference, Guddan failed to realize what AJ realized in a snap. Change. Badlav.

"Main na Dadi ko photo bhejti hu! Guddan spoke excited and clicked him from different angles, while AJ looked at his reflection in the mirror scared.

So how was it?😉

Part 5 - The gourmet's Nightmare

In pitch black darkness, the white moon glowed with an eerie glint of red. The long grass danced wildly with the wind. She moved through the fields with hesitant steps when a rustle behind her, made her come to a standstill and gulp hard.

Gathering her bits of courage, she turned around slowly only to come across...nothing. The sigh of relief had barely escaped her lips when a sharp blade was pressed against her throat, and her breath hitched.

"How dare you create trouble in my paradise?! A deep voice snickered evilly.

"Now, I'll cut your neck into pieces and feed it to my hounds!, the voice warned as she looked at the mammoth hounds flashing their magnanimous canines at her..

"Nhiii!!!

Guddan woke up with a startle, sweating profusely. As her eyes adjusted to the dark, she turned her head towards the left to see AJ deep in sleep, and sighed in relaxation.

"Guddan, agar inn AJ uncle ki neend toot jaati na toh sahi mein tera khoon hi kar dete! Guddan concluded to herself, staring at his face wearing a serene expression.

"Sapne mein bhi rakshas ki tarah saans atka di! Guddan huffed annoyed at his clueless self.

Suppressing a yawn, she checked the time. It was 4:07 am.

Sleep has escaped from her eyes with its tail between its legs. And today was going to be her first rasoi, as dadi had explained. And at 7 sharp, this khadoos would be down, dictationg his rule at the breakfast table.

Guddan got up to her feet stretching her arms, and looked at AJ yet again.

"Abhi toh sapne mein jaan nikaal rahe the, aaj kuch galti ki toh, sapne ka climax reality mein naa dikha de! And with that, Guddan hurried into the bathroom.

Yesterday, AJ had miraculously disappeared right after the pooja ended. This had spared Guddan the much needed time to relax her nerves, for the upcoming torture that he would unleash on her in the night. But that never came. Guddan fell asleep while watching the TV, and the next thing she knew was waking up to horror dreams!

As Guddan appeared out of bathroom, very stealthily she moved about the room taking care not to disturb him. She wore her chuda and was exiting the room, when her phone slipped from her hands and fell on the marble floor, creating noise...dangerous one, for her wellbeing.

With abated breath, Guddan waited for few seconds but nothing happened. Surprised at her (always bad) luck she turned to see AJ deep in sleep.

"Inhe abhi bhi kuch sunai nhi dia!! Guddan wondered amazed and started leaving when her steps halted.

And she turned around wide eyed and mouth agape, "Kahin uncle... neend mein hi toh... Guddan panicked, and looked towards the roof with a troubled face.

Quickly she hurried by his side, and warily pressed her ears against his chest. And his chest heaved up and down, up and down..

Finally assured of AJ being alive, Guddan left the room.

It was when AJ opened his eyes.

"Pagal ladki! He grunted irritated and pulled the blanket over his head.

# # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # #

As the clock struck 7, AJ descended down the stairs where the entire family waited.

Durga, Saraswati and Lakshmi looked at each other worried. Only a single thought cramped their brains. What will happen if AJ will see the disaster that went down in his kitchen!?

Since Dadi had said that today Guddan was going to handle the rasoi, they had decided to left her to her devices because they knew that Guddan se kuch na ho payega and AJ had no place for mistakes and wrongdoings in his life. However this plan of their backfired, heavily.

Khaana toh khaana, kitchen looked like a battlefield strewn with disastrous outcomes. They could only catch a glimpse of the late' kitchen when AJ showed up. They were seriously worried.

They had no clue what sort of poison awaited them all, behind the close lids of casserole. But what worried them most was the thought of poison laced words AJ would shoot at them if the food came out terrible!

Once AJ was seated,he looked at Guddan smiling jovially.

"Kya aap khana serve karengi! He asked as Guddan nodded.

"Bilkul! Aapke na hosh udd jayenge, you are going to be surprised! Guddan replied boastfully and started removing the lids of casseroles.

"I just hope that I won't be shocked!, AJ murmured to himself.

"The food looks delicious, Vardaan complimented as the 3 bahus opened their eyes and looked at the food, in disbelief.

This was definitely not the appearance they imagined'

Akshat looked at the food, and breathed in it's aroma twice. This girl was going to be the death of him, literally!'

AJ got up from his seat as Guddan stared at him quizzically.

"Kya hua lalla? Dadi asked.

"Maa, restaurant mein kuch urgent kaam yaad aa gaya.., Akshat lied.

"Kaam toh hota rahega, Guddan ki pehli rasoi hai, rasm toh puri karni padegi na, Dadi smiled.

"Ritual? Which ritual?! Akshat asked dumbfounded.

"She will feed you with her hands, Dadi replied.

"Kyaa! All 3 bahus and their nayi naweli saas stood up, surprised.

"Par dadi humne toh aisi koi rasm nhi ki thi! Durga complained.

"Ha, kyuki tum bahu bankar aai thi, Guddan tumhari saas bankar aai hai.

With that said, Dadi signalled Akshat to sit back, who obliged ruefully."Guddan beta, come forward and serve him.

Guddan nodded, smiling helplessly and served everything on his plate. Guddan and Akshat looked at each other, helplessly.

Guddan dipped a spoon in rajma chawal, and forwarded it towards his mouth.

Akshat gulped. Kis gunah ki saza de raha hai bhagwaan use'

As he gulped the rajma chawal, his mouth went still and his eyes watered. The rice was uncooked and rajma were overcooked. His throat was on fire, he wanted to spit out the disgusting food but could'nt.

He glared at Guddan, who had her face turned towards the other direction. Brimming with anger, he dipped the spoon in rajma chawal and forwarded it in her direction.

Dadi smiled dreamily as Lakshmi's eyes widened comically at Akshat's gesture.

Guddan turned towards him, with her brows raised. He signalled her to eat but she refused,"Shayad aapne suna nhi, dadi said to feed you and not the other way round

"I heard it quite clear but you are my wife, main kuch bhi akele nhi karunga, jo bhi karenge saath karenge! Akshat smiled slightly, making Saru gag at the cheesy line.

Guddan looked at Dadi, who urged her to comply to his wish and she opened her mouth. The instant rajma touched her tongue, her eyes widened and locked with his.

"Acha hai na... Akshat asked sweetly. But Guddan knew better, his words meant you-cant-spit-it. Guddan gulped, trying to prevent water from flowing off her eyes.

Next, she broke a morsel of the roti and dipped it in dal. A glaring contest started as Guddan forwarded the morsel in his direction, her eyes issuing a challenge. Akshat held her palm, and bit down on the morsel. The roti was raw flour and the dal was overflowing with oil and salt. He wanted to throw up but his ego was on the line now. As Akshat repeated the routine and forwarded the morsel in her direction, Guddan bit down on his finger making him wince, and smiled slightly. Akshat glared arrows at her, and cracked his knuckles.

His stomach was literally coughing acid.

"Ab main chalta hoon, he told his mother and started to leave when someone stepped in his path.

It was Shweta. Lakshmi smiled and went to shweta, pretending as if she had no clue that she was going to come!

Dadi glared at shweta, while Guddan looked at her confused and AJ, with zero expressions.

"You must be thinking what am I doing here? Till yesterday I was going to be the bahu of this house and your wife but now.. Shweta spoke slowly, her words ending in a sob.

Guddan looked at her uninterested as she continued, "Khair jo bhi hua, I have bought a cake for you, a sweet to mark a new beginning of your life.

Guddan looked on amazed. Shweta had no dearth of talent, she would qualify just fine for the role of an overacting idiot.

Akshat opened his mouth to refuse when shweta moved forward and held his palm in hers. "Please don't refuse Akshat Ji, can't you oblige this wish of mine? She guilt tripped Akshat, fluttering her lashes.

Feeling helpless, Akshat opened the box in her hand and picked up a piece of cake in between his fingers. However the cake could not reach its intended destination as Guddan stepped in, held Akshat's hand and directed the piece into her mouth. Lakshmi and Shweta fumed, as Dadi smirked viciously.

"Hmm, cake toh accha hai but Akshat ke taste ke hisaab se ismein 100g cheeni zyada hai, Guddan remarked, chewing on the cake. Akshat looked at her and reminisced that he had uttered these exact same words at her, when she had come to demand the money for the cake that was slapped on his face.

He continued to look at her as she stared back, with determined eyes. To understand her antiques was beyond his level, but he knew one thing, they could fight each other to death but in front of the world, they are life partners.

Smiling, he swiped his thumb against her lower lip, where a crumb of cake was stuck, catching Guddan off guard. Dadi smiled shyly and the three sons chocked on their saliva and started coughing, as AJ licked his thumb with his tongue, without breaking eye contact with a lost Guddan.

"You are right biwi ji, it's extra sweet, he whispered sensuously making Guddan's throat go parched.

"Sorry Shweta ji, but in this age, I can't be eating sweet foods, AJ apologised as Shweta nodded frantically.

Dadi stood up, brimming with happiness,"Beta, jaane se pehle, apni biwi ko pehli rasoi ka tohfa toh de do.

Ji maa, Akshat obliged as he pressed the buzzer and a butler came running, with a big box laid in a magnificiently decorated thaal. Shweta looked on drooling as Akshat opened the box to reveal a stunning turquoise sapphire neckpiece.

Gently, he turned around Guddan and picked the necklace from the box and laid it across her neck. While tying the necklace, he leaned his lips closer to her ears and spoke in a menacing tone, "Never ever step into my kitchen ever again!

His words overflowing with promise of a catastrophe brought Guddan back to earth land and she gulped hard as he pulled the knot of necklace extra hard, choking her a little bit. And with that he was gone, leaving Guddan in a state of absolute despair.

So how was it?😊

If someone wants any scene, suggestions are welcome

Part 10 - Kuch kuch hota hai

Akshat had started to relax when he was violently shaken. Irritated, he opened his eyes to blast Guddan off but was left confused, on seeing another women seating by his side. Baffled, he rolled his eyes around trying to locate Guddan, when his eyes finally met hers as she waved at him, from the seat in opposite row, right across him.

"I requested her to change the seats with me since I didn't want to lose a chance at interacting with you!, the woman squealed in a fan-girl like excitement making Akshat groan internally.

"Pleased to meet you, Mr. Akshat, myself Priya and I am a food blogger; 3 months ago, I visited your restaurant and the moment your special lasagne touched my tongue, it wrecked a terrific havoc with my senses! Priya complimented him, jovially.

Akshat only nodded, faking his best smile possible. He just wanted to get a shut eye for a few minutes but this chatter box was going on about his food, his restaurant, her blog and what not. The thought of chatterbox reminded him of Guddan and he peeked over Priya's head to see Guddan rocking back and forth in a half sleepy state, then snap out of it and yawn with her drowsy eyes threatening to drop shut yet again.

Mera sukoon cheenkar, maze se so rhi hai' Akshat thought ruefully and just then, Guddan fell forth, banging her forehead against the seat and her eyes flew open. As she massaged the little bump on her head, a snort reached her ears and brimming with irritation, she turned to the opposite side to see Akshat's shoulders shaking as he tried his best to veil his laughter in coughing. A small smile tugged at his lips as he turned to look at her and she pouted at him, while caressing the bump on her head. As she glared at him, he smirked at her and signalled her to nurse her head, mockingly.

20 minutes later, Akshat could no longer tolerate Priya's verbal torture and decided to ask Guddan to come back to her seat, because another 1 hour of journey was left and his patience was dropping fast. Prepared to be mocked by Guddan, he peeked over Priya's head to see Guddan's head fall on the shoulder of passenger on her side. The poor man seated by her side, shook his shoulders to jerk her off but Akshat knew better. His wife is kumbhkarna ki rishtedaar!

Exasperated, the man jerked his shoulder roughly, pushing Guddan's head in opposite direction. At this Akshat abruptly got off his seat and hurriedly stepped out of his seat, and in the nick of time, managed to support Guddan's slipping head in his palms. Akshat glared at the man and straightened Guddan into the seat.

"You could have woken her up! That's not a way to behave with a woman! Akshat spoke, angered.

"Mr. Akshat, what are you... Priya tried questioning him but he cut her in between.

"Ms...Will you mind coming back to your seat? Akshat asked, ordered.

"But this woman.. Priya asked, pointing to a dozing Guddan, whose head has slipped yet again and was being supported against AJ's frame.

"I'll manage that! He replied and stared down at the idiot, deep in sleep.

"Utho Guddan! He ordered, and as expected she only adjusted her head further into his coat.

Sighing, he leaned his mouth down to her ears and whispered, "Wake up, or else I'll do something that you won't like!

And Guddan's eyes snapped open, as if she had seen a nightmare. Shocked, she turned her head towards right to see AJ's face right next to hers.

"It's nice to know that you remember the lesson' I taught you that day, he smirked and continued, "Now, come back to your seat.

And with that, Guddan got up and plopped into her seat, right next to him while the passengers in the plane continued to stare at the duo.

5 minutes later, Akshat opened his eyes on feeling a weight on his shoulders. Guddan was asleep yet again and was adjusting and readjusting her head. Sighing helplessly, he leaned to her side and adjusted his shoulders to provide space for her head. Finally feeling content, Guddan shifted her face in his neck and encircled his arm with her hands, whilst Akshat continued to stare at her, his face, a myriad of emotions, where one emotion was of Awe, at her innocence. And soon enough, sleep took over as his head came to rest on hers and both, for the first time, eased in each other's embrace.

# # # # # # # # # # # # # # #

"Dekha Saru, AJ uss Guddan ke peeche chale gaye or upar se bahana banaya ki kuch kaam hai'Lakshmi complained, moving about in the room.

"Maine kaha tha na, Durga di, AJ aur Guddan ke beech kuch toh chal raha hai! Saru told Durga, who continued to look out of the window.

"Shaadi ke 3 saalon main maine apne baby boo ke saath itna romance nhi kia, jitna sasur ji aur saasu maa, har roz dikhate hain, kissi B grade film ki tarah! Lakshmi complained out aloud forcing Durga's mouth open.

"Keep a check on your tongue, Lakshmi! It will be wise if you'll respect the relations before slandering them with sexual abuses! Durga chided Lakshmi, feeling disgusted. AJ wasn't the sort of man, who couldn't keep himself in check and neither was Guddan the kind, to sit back while anyone tried to do something she doesn't like.

Feeling troubled, Durga stepped out of the room to get some fresh air. However, when she was passing by the balcony, her eyes fell on Parv who was standing in front of the new portrait that was clicked a few days back. She stopped because something felt off about him. Looking closely, she found him smiling in a disgusting way while caressing his finger's over Guddan's photo.

"Tch!Tch! saasu maa ki jawanii barbad ho jaegi, aapke sath AJ. Aapko unme dilchaspi hai nhi aur meri dilchaspi din ba din badhti hi jar hi hai! Parv leered at Guddan's photo, chuckling, reminiscing the encounter with Guddan at the pool.

Durga hid behind the pillar, the moment Parv turned around as a strange tingly sensation of horror ran down her spine.

As the pilot announced the landing, Guddan opened her eyes feeling refreshed and tried to move her head but failed. Confused, she rolled her eyes to see AJ's head rested atop hers, and his mouth, slightly open. Her first instinct was to jerk his head off, but she didn't. she continued to stare at his innocent visage devoid of the arrogant makeup he wore on daily basis.

"Dadi sahi hi kehti hain, aap chupate hain apna sach, Guddan whispered slowly, a slight smile playing across her lips.

"Konsa sach? his lips parted and let out those words softly as he opened his eyes and stared right into hers.

Guddan's eyes widened. He wasn't supposed to hear that. They shared an eyelock as Akshat raised his brows in query. Guddan quickly moved her face off his shoulder and scampered for words. "You are drooling, uncle! She remarked, turning her face to the other side.

But Akshat grasped her arm and whirled her towards himself. "It's not me, it's you!, he remarked and wiped the corner of her lips with the handkerchief, all the while, his soft eyes fixed on her startled ones.

As the passenger across from them coughed in discomfort, both snapped out of their reverie and turned away from each other.

Guddan clutched her chest, worried. Her heart was drumming against her ribcage really hard, not to forget that Akshat's face was somehow etched in her mind. Are these symptoms of a heart disease? But then why this doesn't feel wrong!

Akshat clutched the handkerchief in his palms, while his face wore a grim expression. What was he doing? Just now, he had let his guard down because her words of understanding had somehow managed to light up the sliver of warmth in his frozen heart! As this thought entered his brain, his beats pounded in his ears. He closed his eyes to ward off unnecessary thoughts, but opened his eyes troubled, when he saw flashes of a sleepy face, smiling peacefully.

So how was it? I tried to introduce a bit of romace...hope you'll like it!

Part 4 (a) - Sweet Revenge

As the ritual of muh dikhai started, women came turn by turn and complimented dadi on getting a beautiful wife for his son.

Guddan tried to smile her level best, trying to ignore the searing pain shooting through her ankle, every time an aunty mistakenly touched it. She could just scream it out, but then she was quite sure that AJ uncle would chop her head off with his knife and eat her.

No! He will feed her to the dogs and cats and whatnot. Because most probably her taste wasn't going to be good enough to be swallowed by him!

The point is she wasn't scared of him. She just didn't want to see his sour face twice a day. Once was enough, another one would definitely make her want to go blind!

Halfway through the ceremony, doctor showed up, and in Akshat Jindal's 'glaring' presence, treated her ankle.

The doctor was not the target. She was...of his glares, that is.

Once the doctor was gone, in a shockingly surprising turn of events, all 3 bahus flashed their pearl whites at her, when they picked up her veil for muh dikhai.

Thank god, the shock didn't last for too long. Varna Guddan ka sacchai par se bharosa uth jata!

First came the eldest daughter in law of the house, Durga Jindal. She leaned her lips closer to Guddan's ears and whispered, " I'll make your life a living hell".

And then tubelight wali smile.

Ahh, aisa pyaar ho toh, insaan ko marne ke liye diabetes ki zaroorat nhi hai

Guddan smiled. Usse taane maarne ka copyright sirf mummy ke paas hai.

"Durga bahu, wait!" Guddan called out.

Durga turned around, raising a brow in surprise.

"Mujhe bhi aapse kuch kehna tha, zara idhar aaie na..."

As Durga leaned closer, her eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"Arre, ghabraiye mat, daantoogi nhi! Saas hone ki field mein yeh mera debut hai na!" Guddan smiled foolishly, causing Durga's lips to twitch in annoyance.

"I was just saying that, rather than threatening me, why don't you go and talk to your 'AJ'?!"

Durga's eyes widened, at her MIL's audacity.

"And vese bhi bahu, saas ko nhi...saas, bahu ki zindagi ko living hell banati hai!" Guddan announced staring into Durga's fuming face.

"Aisa maine suna hai..." Guddan concluded, smiling innocently like a child dictating a gossip to his parents.

Then came Saraswati. As she lifted the veil, she spoke in a funnily menacing way.

"36 ka aankra hai humara!"

"1760 ka kyu nhi!!" Guddan quipped back, questioningly.

"Vo...vo mujhe pta nhi", Saru stammered, caught off guard, and scurried away quickly.

And then came Lakshmi Jindal, smirking in her usual I-am-the-best way.

Guddan stared at her from under the veil and whispered to herself, "Sorry partner, par dhokebaazo ke liye, only punishment!"

As Lakshmi moved forward, Guddan extended her right leg in front of her making her trip, and fall down straight into Guddan's feet.

"Arre Lakshmi bahu, jeeti raho!" Guddan blessed trying to suppress the chuckle threatening to escape from her lips, by keeping her palms on Lakshmi's head.

Saru looked on, puzzled.

"Jiji, ye lakshmi ko kya hua!!" Saru asked, to which Durga continued to glare at Guddan.

"Uthiye, aapki jagah mere charno mein nhi, mere dil mein hai", Guddan proclaimed dramatically, as she held Lakshmi by her arms and helped her up.

Once up, Lakshmi scurried away, huffing and puffing in irritation, embarrassment added!

Soon, to Guddan's absolute relief, muh dikhai was over and everyone moved to the temple area, where Dadi had organised a pooja for Akshat's and Guddan's happy married life.

As the pooja started, pandit asked the new husband-wife duo to come forward and do the Aarti together.

As Guddan and AJ came forward, AJ held the handle of Diya in his palms while Guddan's fingers encircled over his.

And they both shared a long look.

(Tere haathon mein, naa meri lakereein...

Hain bahot alag si, apni taqdeerein...)

Once they were done, they gave the diya to Durga and her husband.

Everyone had their eyes closed when Guddan's eyes snapped open, in extreme worry.

She had heard a snapping sound...and that feel!

*snap*

Guddan's eyes widened like saucers, as she felt another one come loose.

She peeped to her right side, to see Akshat deep in prayer and then looked around, to confirm that no one was watching. Once assured, Guddan started to slip away from temple area. She had almost wobbled her way towards the stairs when another *snap* sound struck her ears, and in extreme state of panic, she ascended to the first step of stairs when someone pulled her back.

"Kahan ja rhi thi!?" Akshat asked.

"Vo...main...room.." Guddan uttered getting increasingly uncomfortable.

"Tum 2 minute shanti se khadi bhi nhi ho sakti kya!!" Akshat chided her.

'Bas ek hi bacha hai' Guddan struggled in his grip.

"Chalo mere saath", Akshat ordered and started to drag her away when she resisted.

"Aap chaliye naa uncle, I'll come in 2 minutes", Guddan spoke trying to get away from him.

But he won't budge.

'Jaane do na!!' Guddan whined internally.

"Jo bhi kaam hai, baad mein kar lena. This pooja is for US, so you should be HERE", Akshat emphasised and started to drag her away.

In a final attempt to preserve her 'slippping' chastity, Guddan held the railing of staircase and held her ground.

Akshat glared at her. How stubborn!

Guddan pleadingly looked at him.

'It's coming loose!!! ' Guddan shrieked internally.

"Kitni dheeth ho tum!"

"Kitne dheeth hain aap!"

Both spoke in unison, as Akshat tried to pull Guddan away while she tried to resist.

"Chodo usse!"

"Chodo mujhe!!"

Both spoke in unison yet again ( AJ, in context of railing)

"Let me go! Its falling apart!!!" Guddan whined.

"What??!", Akshat asked getting annoyed.

"My blouse!" Guddan replied.

"What!!!" Surprised Akshat let his hands fall free to his sides

*snap*

Both's eyes widened as Akshat turned around in embarrassment, while Guddan crossed her hands in front of her chest, to prevent the blouse from slipping off.

"Khadi kya ho!!Hurry to the room before someone else shows up!" AJ ordered in a state of absolute fluster.

Guddan peeped at him. Why was he closing his eyes? He had his back turned to her!

"Gayi kya?!" AJ enquired in a state of emergency.

"JA RHI HU!" Guddan replied annoyed at his kiddish behaviour.

Izzat uski khatre mein hai aur sharam inhe aa rhi hai!!

As Guddan turned around to ascend the stairs, her eyes widened on seeing Parv and his name escaped from her lips.

"Parvvv!!"

Akshat's eyes snapped open and then in a flash, Guddan was pulled away from the stairs to the tiny space right below it.

When Guddan opened her eyes, she saw herself being enveloped by Akshat Jindal's huge frame, squeezing in the tiny space that could hardly room a single person. And here she and huge AJ were packed together.

His frame towered over her, as his Godzilla sized palms covered her mouth, while his arrogant head tried its level best to peek over the stairs.

"Mmphh..mmhpphh..", Guddan tried to speak as Akshat turned around to glare at her. She tried to remove his hands but as always, to no avail.

The instant she had cupped his palm with hers, to try to remove them from her mouth, realization dawned and her hands quickly crossed in front of her chest.

Akshat's eyes widened and he felt uncomfortable.

"Main..haath. hata raha hu, kuch bolna mat. Parv is right over our head...ok??!" AJ asked.

As Guddan nodded, AJ removed his palm and concentrated on hearing to Parv.

It seemed like he was talking on phone and didn't plan to move anytime soon.

And this place was dangerous, the house was brimming with people and if accidentally, someone saw them...a scandal was bound to follow!

Sorry for the late update folks! It was quite busy due to an outstation visit...So Do Enjoy!!

Part 8- Misconceptions of A kiss

It has been a month since Guddan entered Jindal parivaar. With her present, there was never a dull moment. And as of right now, she stood with her mouth hanging open in disbelief at the ridiculous trip Dadi had planned for them, A Freaking Honey-Moon!!

She glanced sideways to see Akshat narrowing his already small eyes, suspiciously at his mother, suspecting some foul play.

"I am not interested, he replied glaring at Guddan.

In response, Guddan glared back at him, "Neither am I, UNCLE!!

Akshat didn't miss the extra stress implied on Uncle' and gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"I am not asking you, I am telling you, Dadi chided both of them.

She looked at Guddan hopefully and continued, "Rajasthan is a beautiful place, Guddan. You can go and explore their traditions, folk music and dance, and that knowledge can be beneficial in your pursuit of becoming an actor.

Guddan nodded, impressed while AJ shook his head. His mother had bated that idiot!

"Main nhi jaungaa! Akshat emphasised forcing Guddan out of her daydreaming of spectacular Ghoomar.

"Aapke saath jaana bhi kaun chahta hai! Main akele jaane ke liye taiyaar hu!, Guddan beamed.

"Great, that settles it then! Let me call the driver, to come and pick you up! Akshat replied quickly and had opened the dialpad just as quickly. His soul was screaming for the much deserved peace! And peace was where, there was no Guddan!

Dadi glared at Akshat who shrugged them off, pretending to be insensitive. Defeated, Dadi looked at Guddan's face and couldn't find it in her heart to refuse her the trip just because her son wasn't going.

"Theek hai, Guddan beta...Your flight is at 5 in evening, Dadi smiled at Guddan and handed her the tickets.

Surprised, Akshat looked at his mother. He totally expected her to force him to go by emotional blackmail! Brimming with excitement, Guddan hugged Dadi and ran towards her room to pack her luggage.

Later, Akshat entered the room, to find the floor decorated with clothes, sandals, trolley bag, Laptop, chips ka packet and Guddan.

"Kar kya rahi ho ye!? He enquired annoyed, jumping over the saree.

"Main? I am eating chips! Can't you see? Uncle, aapka chashma bhi Buddha ho gaya hai aapki tarah, get it changed! She recommended monotonously, absolutely focussed on the laptop screen.

"I can see that just fine! He retorted annoyed and snatched the laptop away from her.

"What are you doing!? Guddan shouted getting up to her feet while her arms flew forward to grab hold of laptop, but AJ was quick and raised the laptop to further height.

"This is MY laptop! How did you open it? He enquired sceptically.

"It was no rocket science! Anyone can guess your password! Guddan replied, trying to pull his arm down.

"What?! He asked, shocked.

"Your wife's name and birth date's combination..duhuhh! Guddan shouted annoyed and forcefully pulled down his arm, but till then the laptop had been passed to the other palm.

Akshat stopped playing passing the parcel with laptop and stared at Guddan, shocked. Since he was thrown off guard, she quickly pulled down the other arm and had almost snatched back the laptop, when Akshat regained his wits and tried to pull it back. A tug of war ensued as both struggled with the laptop, pulling it back and forth. In this scuffle, Akshat's feet fell on the saree lying on the ground and his leg slipped and he started falling on his back. With him, went the laptop and with laptop, Guddan too went down and both ended up falling on the bed, Akshat underneath Guddan. On reflex, Akshat's hands went around her waist while Guddan grasped his shirt in her fist and both shared an eyelock. Lines of irritation were etched on Guddan's forehead while Akshat felt absolutely troubled by the recent revelation. Both were lost in their own thoughts, when a voice from outside prompted them to move away from each other. It was Lakshmi.

"AJ, we are coming in! Dadi has sent some things for Gudd...I mean Saasu maa Lakshmi called out, pushing the door ajar.

As Akshat pushed his upper half into upright position, Guddan also started pulling her body away by supporting with her arms. It was when, mistakenly, Akshat's elbow pushed against her arm causing her palm to slip against the bedsheet and she fell forward, right into him.

"Saasu maa, dadi ne aapke liye... Saru paused when the scene unfolded in front of her eyes. AJ was seated on the bed, leaning back on his left arm while Guddan was seated onto his lap, her one hand fisting his shirt while the fingers of other palm were stretched across his neck and lower jaw. As Lakshmi's eyes raked down their compromising profile, her left palm came to cover her mouth, as an almost crying sound of failure erupted within. AJ's right palm was wrapped around Guddan's bare waist!

As Saru's words reached the duo, Guddan tried to get up but winced and her right palm flew to massage her hair.

"Kya hua!? He enquired bossily and then looked down to see, few strands of hair tangled with his buttons.

Simultaneously, both raised their palms to untangle the knot and their palms touched. Akshat withdrew his hands, feeling awkward while Guddan leaned close to his face to lessen the tension that was pulling on her scalp. As she struggled to get the knot untwisted, Akshat leaned his right profile closer to her, to provide extra access. And from Laksmi's and Saru's view, it looked like they were kissing! Because both had leaned closer in such a way, that their faces were hidden from their sight.

Lakshmi looked at Saru, devastated, her lips turned upside down. While Saru looked at the boldness of AJ!

"Main karta hu! AJ said, getting impatient and removed her hands to untangle her strands. And thus, both AJ and Guddan tilted their faces in opposite direction, making it seem like they were continuing their kiss!

AJ tried hard but failed. The strands were too fine and her wincing at every step wasn't helping much either!

"Rukiye.. Guddan asked, and leaned her mouth down to the level of the button and taking it between her teeth, pulled it apart.

"Ouch! Akshat winced as her sharp tipped nail grazed against his chest, which she had used to aid in pulling apart of the button.

Finally done, Guddan jumped away from him and handed him the button.

"Button kyu toda!? He asked, confused.

"Agar thodi der aur, Lakshmi aur Saru bahu ye sab dekhte toh I am quite sure, their heart would crash, just like their spirits! Guddan remarked, pointing her thumb towards the aghast duo.

Akshat looked beyond Guddan to see, their two DIL's standing traumatised."Aap logon ko kya kaam hai? He enquired, absolutely not feeling the need to justify the situation apart from the fantasy, their pea sized brains would have cooked.

"Haa..ye..woh...Dadi ne Saasu maa ko kiss par bhejne ke liye, aapka button bheja hai! Lakshmi stammered.

"Kya!? Akshat scrunched his lips, not getting the point while Guddan tried hard to suppress her chuckle.

It worked just fine. If AJ uncle didn't mind, she could play the game too.

"Main samajh gayi.. Guddan replied pulling the box from Saru's hands and then whispered slowly, only for them to hear.

"Next time, make sure to ask for permission to enter this room! We don't want you to loose your wits! Guddan winked 😉and showed them the way out of the room.

So how was it!?😊
