I agree with you, like he is not creepy and has not anything which made teju uncomfortable. Let's not forget we had abhimanyu in yrkkh who forced abhira to confess her love for him. Atleast here neil is staying within his boundaries and has not given juhi also any hints that he is remotely interested in her and any sensible parent would've not proceeded with the marriage after the first meeting

True. Like everyone can see Neil's inclination towards Teju but still both families are being selfish..teju ka kaka is only seeing the wealthy family n well settled ladka. He might be thinking k shaadi k pyaar infatuation khtm ho jaye aur uder Neil family is being stubborn. Neil is only trying to make sure ki he tries every possible way Taki baad me afsos na ho.

I have a different opinion might be because of my bias towards param (and that I want his show to go longer), when I watched the bengali show also the biggest plot point of the show is the leads getting married and then neil getting to know the truth and then how the relationship dynamics change between neil and teju. Although the story is indeed boring but it is also setting up the story of when teju and neil get married there would be so much at stake for both of them to be bound in this relationship (neil's conflict with his family and teju's with hers). And yes, irl, no one falls in love and gets married in 2 days – that’s true. But this is itv, and it doesn’t follow real-life logic. In itv, you have 60-year-old Upma dancing like a teenager, vamps drugging the male lead and getting pregnant, bride swaps happening regularly, and contract marriages being a normal thing – none of which happens in reality. The point is – itv’s trp audience isn’t looking for realism—they want drama, and they have zero patience for slow-paced stories. And yeah, trp spiked after the wedding, but, it’s very unlikely they will even touching 1.7. I’m open to being proven wrong, tho.

When Rishta started, it had a 1.4 trp while being under scanner. It’s true that StarPlus favored Shahi and gave him a month to develop the story and the lead characters. And yes, Ghum has some disadvantages now I agree. But Rishta 4 grew every week—1.4 → 1.5 → 1.6, and by the wedding, it hit 2.3. The secret sauce? Abhira—a fresh, interesting, strong ,funny character. ( Which sadly isn't more )

Here? I don’t see that spark with Teju or Neil character. Plus, the "introvert guy-extrovert girl" trope isn’t even that strong. What does work? Stoic, arrogant A**hole guy + Extrovert girl who softens him—classic gold. And btw, Teju’s episodes with Ritu pulled more trp than with Neil, so… who knows? Still, I’m open to being proven wrong, but let’s see how it goes.

Let's see what happens although I still hope that it does well, and maybe the spice rituraj is missing which is leading to trp decline. The only reason I'm so optimistic is that it is not declining further from the 1.4-1.5 mark even during semifinals (ind vs aus) and the 7:30 mark would give it a little more rope as pressure is more upon the prime time shows like jaddu (which started decling from the second episode itself). Ps: none of the shows of star are really doing well and there are shows are rab rakkha even pocket mein aasman isn't a spot leader (so ig that's where they'll pull the plug before they do for ghum)

Arranged setting doesn't work as per sensibility I don't know how during the time of our parents PPl don't used to even see their spouse till marriage.....

I just don't like when PPl become so harsh towards ML ke flaws and spare FL just because narratives favour them....Here Teju is really wrong too I am not able to feel for her loss of dad then this condition because the way she is using Juhi's name and dignity for not marrying Neil when it was his father's last wish....if he would have asked her to marry any guy of her choice naa guarantee ye ladki Ritu ko call karti after so much dramas....not saying ki haan bol do but ladka galat nhi hai to behave like this....

With Juhi toh he is wrong but I am liking her here as she understands kuch problem toh hai.....bas drama marriage tak naa jaaye...

I don't blame families generally I see their values too....they aren't selfish instead concerned about their kids in their own ways infact they were thinking of giving him chance but his mother she is the only person who is being cringe here- college ka heartbreak and old age mein revenge....yes that bhabhi too....

Whereas Neil is also wrong but yes even Teju and to some extent Juhi isn't understanding if there was any other girl toh woh ek baar puch leti if you have anyone in your life like Neil did....
