Virat chose duty over love at the wrong time. I can understand him fulfilling the duty of a husband by protecting Pakhi but he made Sai suffer due to his farz in the entire Vinu track post Pakhi's kokh removal. Hiding Vinu's truth from Sai, misguiding her, creating obstacles in her path to find the truth and to some extent even misusing his power were all of his wrong deeds and this marriage will be his karma for all that. Virat runs after her with both rings in his hand. Pakhi calls him and Virat kind of hits a stone or speed breaker and loses balance. He gets up and resumes going after Sai and by the time he reaches her, Satya and Sai are married. Sai/Savi ring falls and it reaches Satya and he picks it up.

Yup it depends on trps and only trps. I think one year or even more than that if the trps are good. If they can drag pakrat marriage track for 7-8 months then SaiYa marriage will definitely be more than that.
