That is what irks me. Especially his jealousy with respect to Sai's male colleagues, when he is busy playing ghar-ghar/Chavan Niwas-Santra Business with his legally married wife. Does he realise that some day Sai may start dating someone? Or in his head, Sai lives in the same house all her life, seeing VP as husband and wife while Sai plays mother to his two kids? Even in their sixties, they are a weird form of Modern Family?

Or is he not helping Sai per say to win over Vinu completely and addresses Letter as his mother, because he knows that as long as Vinu considers Letter his mother, Sai won't leave the house?

When Vankar wanted to start Sairat angle , he slowly started addressing all the issues FD had about Virat .

Now that he has new plans he again used the same complaints fans had and made V exactly like that . Going by the trend , Satya has to shine and come out as knight in shining armor . ITV has this very old formula of sabotaging the ML in order to drive the story forward. All SP shows - Rajjo, Pandya Store, YRKKH, Imlie, YHC run by the same formula. The idea being that in old days stories like Kyunki, Kahaani, YRKKH season 1, KKR etc etc had so many side characters, that the leads often worked in tandem to get those characters justice/love/married. However, now all the stories focus only on the leads and because of the need to churn out episodes everyday, someone has to be the scapegoat.

But Virat is a different case altogether because he has NEVER actually called out Letter publically and berated her. The whole story hinges on his indecision - farz ya pyaar. On top of it, being personally involved with the main antagonist of the show has clouded the character's arc. In my head, if Sai was being played by AS, there would have been a considerably more steadfast approach to Pakhi's resolution. She wouldn't be out of the show, but Virat would have much severe reactions to her actions. While most people might not agree, personal relationships run a lot of the story in the background. In Yeh Rishta, the PL is played by the maker's daughter's best friend or something. So every track is written in a way that she has to come out unscathed even if she is the culprit. Same as with Pakhi.

As for the butchering - Virat has been butchered as a husband and brother before. Now he is being an abuse-hiding father. It would be very easy to slowly phase out Pakhi and give Virat a good redemption arc to put him against Satya. But will the makers take that route as long as AS plays Pakhi?

The SaiYa ship may sink or sail - depends on the born cutie mentioned above - but if Sai ends up with Virat despite no proper redemption - it would be very unbecoming because Sai is everyone's favorite, be it the TRP aunties or the online audience. Virat is just a little better than Vanraj from Anupamma and KB's character from Saubhagyavati Bhav, when it comes to being a good husband. The viewers don't care about Virat or Satya as long as Sai gets her justice, her two kids and is happy.

Ayesha is a good actor. I remember this one scene where she turns around to face Pakhi and Virat dancing. She turns around and looks down then up. I don't know how she did that, but that scene was just splendid❤️❤️

I have seen in almost every show I have watched so far such theory floating that makers are partial to certain actors . It might be true as there is no smoke without fire but end of the day these makers care only about the money . Small favors here and there might happen but when they won't be favored at the cost of TRPs . With this latest development , if anyone NB and AS positions are in danger so they are definitely not makers favorite imo . By giving a good redemption arc to Virat and pitching him against Sathya actually increases the scope for both Virat and Pakhi . Virat's importance as ML will be retained and Pakhi will have reasons to wage war against Sairat . If V is reduced to thank you and sorry Pakhi there isn't much scope for both the roles .

This is just a case where Sai will get closer to Satya .. start trusting him .. and Virat will observe because he took patralekha ka side .. it may result to him being closer to pakhi as he risks losing vinu .. won’t be surprised as that is his nature .. even Sai will be expecting that

And still he will find some farzi reason to stick to his pyari si cheez and cry... Itna toh Sai bhi nhi roti jitna yeh devar bhabhi ro lete hai... Either make Sai win or close this crap.
