Insight into Ashwini Ninad Chavan

First of all I never thought I will make a controversial post after long tiring day but here it is 🤣

basic idea credits mom as she watched ghum after so long today.

I disagree to the the statement that Ashwini is bad mom to Virat, rather she is the one who is most concerned about him, she is the one who has observed her son the most post Sai vinu accident.

So how is she right? (Whatever written will be Ashwini's pov not mine)

According to Ashwini ,Virat was having peaceful life post leap with his family while being married to Pakhi tho he was lacking a love or sexually active life which Ashwini was trying her best to solve(why with patralekha only because it was Virat who choose to marry her 🤣). He had some jeene ki vajah.

According to Ashwini her child Virat suffers the most because of Sai, she knows sairat never had a peaceful life,she saw her son almost losing his life because Sai left him(again saying it's Ashwini ka pov not mine)and she currently believes if they will unite the cycle will repeat again and ultimately her son will suffer. So she wants Sai to leave so that he can live same peaceful life like initial days of post leap.

(Sai ke aate hi sabki tadap jaag gyi🤣🤣)

It won't be wrong if I will say she hates Sai now and the only reason is she is blind to her son's deeds,she somewhere knows Sai is right but her love for her son overpowers everything hence she blames everything on Sai.

I wanted to write more but I guess this little is enough,I have interesting insight into bhavu ka character too will write soon.

Ashwini has a narrow view in life...she thought Ninad gave more importance (cheated 😲) to Bhavu than her...so this thing is there in her since the beginning that a husband should give more importance to his wife than another woman...she had the same principle pre leap when Sai was her DIL, now P is one, so she supports P, basically her DDP regarding being discarded by Ninad is so much, that she doesn't want her son to do the same with his wife, be it anyone...she will side the wife.

Hi ! I loved pre-leap Ashwini and held almost the same view as you pointed for a very long time. Infact BK even tells Virat after the anniversary party that Virat had never back answered them all these years since he was married to Pakhi and the moment Sai came back his old behaviour was back.

Ashwini always warned PL to not let Sai into their lives again because she always knew the effect Sai had on her son and subsequently Vinu who had started to be with Sai way more than anyone else after his visit to kankauli.

Her conversations with Sai also came from a place of hurt initially post leap , and after she learnt Savi is her grand daughter, she tried to be kind and polite with her as well. It was also understandable that Pakhi did everything to prove to Ashwini that she is good daughter and a wife and a mother and Virat’s normal life looked like a happy one to her- the only thing if missing was spousal love - and she was more than ready to help Pakhi- after all she had also gone through it for years before Virat and Sai reunited her with Ninad.

I lost my marbles and started to feel her actions stopped being justified from the day she unreasonably started supporting PL over her own son- and eventually started doing that in a way that she stopped seeing her son wasn’t happy and the person causing him that pain was his own wife- she stopped seeing PL’s public humiliation and taunts in front of family - her running away with Vinu with a gun, her accusing Sai of being the second woman in Virat’s life were all being done not because she was worried for her son or because she loved him but she did it because she felt a strong sense of loyalty towards a woman who clearly is only been using and manipulating her to her advantage. I won’t say she needs to be extreme like Bhavani- and want PL out of her life, she need not even stop loving PL a for being there for her son- but her being stubborn at the cost of her son’s happiness is what is jarring. Even in the Holi episode when she and Bhavani talk, I was expecting to her say, all of you are seeing the happiness in Virat’s face but none of remember how much pain he underwent , how much they used to fight, how though I was loyal to her like a mother and went against my own son, she still walked out on us with my grandson, if she was angry with her husband; why did she not tell me she was alive, she called me aai, but never treated me like one- I’m afraid of getting hurt and also know she will hurt my son again: instead she said why can’t anyone see PL’s pain ? From the POV of the audience PL is an evil woman who has gotten everything in her life she has today by deceit. So Ashwini’s loyalty towards her despite all her unreasonable actions- seems odd and makes you wanna question if she ever really loved Sai genuinely or if she will love and accept any woman who is Virat’s wife.

If you remember at the start of the story she is super excited for Virat when he tells her he loves someone - the moment she realises she broke Virat’s heart she starts to hate her even without knowing who she is- then when Sai comes she openly supports her and tries her best to keep her away from Sai and Virat’s life- and even knows of all her evil intentions towards ruining Sairats marriage. She is aware of all the criminal activities of PL starting from her fraudulent surrogacy, neglecting her pregnancy, demanding Sai stays away from her child and then eventually Sai walking away because her sides PL for family honour over love ! Can all this be forgotten just because PL suddenly offers to marry Virat and takes decent care of him and starts calling her Aayi ? Where is the integrity ? When Sai was found dead why didn’t she or Virat blame PL for being the cause for her leaving the house ? All these points make her character a weak one - and if one were to call it a very human reaction- it makes her a very ungrateful, flippant and selfish woman who refuses to see reality for what it is and wants to have her way just becauee she has made up her mind !

If BK and Ashwini had supported Sai and sent P back to her mother's house after bail, Sai would not have left. Or if Virat had set boundaries with P, and selected Sai s chosen surrogate. And if he had got surrogate papers signed as per the rule and given the baby to Sai.

They were the main culprits due to which Sai left.

They always support P and torture Sai always.

If Sai had got whole hearted support in CN since she got married, not once she would have left.

Now she's going against BK for P, why didn't she do it during surrogacy and when the child was snatched. Why didn't she force V to go to bus stop and get Sai back.

Now she was forcing V to take transfer for P s happiness. Why didnt she ask Virat to take the kid Vinu and stay separately with Sai before leap when Sai left?

Ash is a typical example of women raised with the obnoxious patriarchal mentality. The way she has been raised, she feels that ultimately it will be her husband and son's happiness and will above everything and everyone, and her sole purpose should be of making sure they are happy and content, even if it means living in a toxic loveless relationship and family.

That explains why she put up with Ninad's cold behaviour for all these years.

Now that I really think back,

She supported Sai's education because that's what V wanted.

She accepted Sai as bahu because that was V's decision.

She insisted Sai fulfills her DIL duties because V wanted Sai to get accepted by the other members as bahu.

Yeah, once in a while she did scold him, that was when he himself was remorseful (pullu lunch drama, AJ kaand) , but where was this scoldings when he was actually messing things up, when he was actually angry and fuming(ousting track).

I don't know if she was scared or what, but she never truly strongly opposed him.

She never truly understood Sai(as she used to boast).

Same with Ninu and gang, she let them walk all over her, because sasuraal, pati devta and stuff. The same things which she used to preach to Sai.

I don't know much about her behaviour during Shruti track, surrogacy track, Sammy track, etc as I never really watched those episodes.

Don't know about mother, but Ashwini is deffo not a good MIL, she will be all sachharine sweet only till the bahus are dancing to her son's whims and fancies and running uske aage piche.

I think Ashwini was always Sai's MIL she was never Sai's Aai that she proudly claim to be in my POV she literally used Sai to nikalofy her bhadas on BK gang so she supported Sai but she never absolutely never went against her son... She takes pride to say that she "always" supported Sai but what did she do when her son allowed someone to physically mentally emotionally attacked a pregnant Sai?? Wasn't Sai baring her grandchild??? Her infamous dialogue "samjho Sai k godu ne aaisa kyu kiya/ khu kaha." Why man why always it was "samjho Sai"?? When did she oppose her godu when he snatch Vinu from Sai??? Why did she stopped godu from calling Sai 'bojh' 'anath' and what not yeah she did said few things but that did hold any impact na... Whole chavannis very well remembered that Sai left and had blamed her enough but conveniently forgot the reason WHY Sai had to leave??? She talk so much about husband choose another woman over his wife... So what was she expecting from Sai??? To be doormat like her??? And I don't think her Son was sad because Sai left him he was sad because Vinu was no more if ever he was affected by Sai's leaving him. He would have never been to talking terms with the lady who made Sai leave forget marrying her... All Ashwini did so far is blaming Sai and ignoring her son's crime and it is so typical indian mom thing "mera raja beta aaisa nhi hai meri bahu hi kharab hai. Pata nhi mere bete ko us mein aaisa konsa gun dikhta hai." Types...

I agree.. Writing here after long, coz I found a post relatable.

I have always seen Ashwini to be a good mother to Virat & never a mother to Sai. She was always Virat's mother. When she expected Sai to be back in his life even after his unethical relationship, when she expected Sai to be back in his life after he questioned her character & moreover when she manipulated her into being back in his life, when she used her medical condition, her vulnerability knowing how much she suffered in that marriage, because she knew Virat wanted Sai.

She did stand up for the woman who fought the family for her, who got her, her respect in the eyes of the family, in the eyes of her husband, who got her husband's love for her, when everyone including her son were clueless to it all,when she was called orphan again and again and again.

She never stopped her son from taking away the only child from the woman she called a daughter, the way she reprimands him for not being with Pakhi.

She did not shed a tear for the woman, who she called a daughter, died.so young.

She was not happy seeing the woman she called a daughter, alive, after yrs of assuming she was dead. She never asked her how she was all these years..

So the whole Ashwini was always team Sai pre leap argument is something I do not agree with. She was always team Virat. She will always be team Virat.

So from Virat's mother's perspective, Sai is the woman, who gives him happiness, but takes away his peace & sanity, very soon. She is ready to leave him at any sign of disagreement. While here there is a woman, who is ready to give her life to her son, without expecting even expecting a conjugal relationship. Who understood his son, most of the times, his temperament & did not threaten to leave him every given situation. Did not challenge his mardaangi.. Not unless this woman, Sai who destroyed her son, came into picture.

Sai for her is someone who destroys Virat's life & the family, after giving him moment of happiness.
