Actually, no. The issue isn't that Virat and Pakhi are married. The issue is the principle. Virat thought Sai was dead, right? And what was, according to him, the last thing Sai wanted before her 'death'? For Pakhi to be in jail, and to pay for her crimes. And instead of making sure that Sai's last wish is fulfilled, Virat married the same person, adopted a child with her, and named that child Vinayak.

Even if he didn't know that Vinu was his son, in principle, he did precisely the thing that Sai didn't want to happen and was the reason that made her leave the house and 'die'.

His love, if we can even call that love, for her was so pathetic that her words couldn't affect him even after her death.

So, Virat and Pakhi's marriage is not the issue, the issue is Virat himself. The issue is the fact that Virat cares about Pakhi more than he can ever care about her.

And this isn't just me. Sai's character in the story understands this too. So, now, even if Virat says that he loves her and he and Pakhi are not married anymore, she still wouldn't accept him with open arms. She might, in the end, since, SaiRat is the endgame here, but it wouldn't be that fast and that easy.

Today is another example of NBs failure as an actor.

If you close your eyes and listen to the VP scene dialogues when he confronts her - its really well written. But watch the scene , the performance and it is a damp squib.

Thats why i maintain that he's such an inconsistent, lazy, unprofessional guy.

Makers, writers are definitely to blame but when a good scene is ruined by actors inability to convincingly show the rage of a father towards the person corrupting his child's mind with negative thoughts causing him to be scared, anxious, disrespectful towards an elder, mentally drained, missing school just to avoid one person - that shows why NB is equally to blame for V coming across as so pathetic.

He had the chance today to potray the anger of a father. But he disappoints.

There is a huge difference between Virat that was introduced and today's. He was supposed to be a man of principles and his promises were carved in stone. But, as the show progressed, you could see none of that could stick on his character. They were mere promotional words, and his character was twisted from time to time.

[Just trying to figure out what and why] Virat, as a character, cannot be a bystander in this show (on most Indian TV shows, MLs just stand and watch]. He has to play an active role to generate drama and conflict. Second, they cannot make Patralekha inconsequential. If he had married someone else, the drama would have been less, and she would have become another Shivani (her presence or absence makes no difference). Again, thinking aloud here, who else would have married him on paper and promised him never to claim any rights as a wife? Maybe someone from not a well-to-do family, and such a woman would have not been acceptable to Bhavani and Chavans. He was desperate and blinded by a desire to adopt a boy, and he forgot everything else, maybe.

Plus, long-running shows run on tracks, and the original troublemakers keep returning. Everyone has temporary or permanent memory loss.

[If you are talking about why he didn't reveal Vinu being Sai and his son and why he took Patralekha's side: if he had not made it difficult for Sai, Patralekha would have gained some sympathy from the audience (main consumers of Indian television shows are women, and for them, loss of womb is a big deal). By making Virat harsh on Sai and Patralekha manipulative and crazy, they made Sai's sense of loss and betrayal more prominent.

And this isn't just me. Sai's character in the story understands this too. So, now, even if Virat says that he loves her and he and Pakhi are not married anymore, she still wouldn't accept him with open arms. Their reunion will not be easy (they will remain separated for one reason or another), because after that, there is not much to explore.

This line made me laugh.

SaiRat were such a gem. It's a shame that all of this has come to this.

If I have to see from the makers' pov, I can understand why they did what they did, and, after all, it is working for them very well.

But story-wise...it is ruined
