In my observation there are few things that make him falter

1. In presence of Aish he can not get into character of Virat. He is Neil, be it a scene with her or others if Aish is there he is most times NB.

2. His love for being poitive character-

If I look back now- Virat’s realization track started since the time Karishma told Virat he left Sai for his ex. After he admitted to PL that he wronged Sai he was supposed to show pondering, sorrow, guilt in scenes where he realize how Sai was wronged since miscarriage. But he still kept giving stern or ‘why r u saying that’ looks most of the time. He hates to establish that Virat was wrong at any point.

That has affected the story too- he could have made Virat more tolerable had he been more open to flaws of his character and portrayed it. Instead he just gives up brings confusing expressions cause he cant agree with Virat being wrong.

3. His biased in promoting show with his wife only -
On top of everything they showed on Show with V n P another reason its hard to digest Virat’s love is the PR. We like it or not it matters. He kept giving IVs explaining PL’s POV with so much passion n intensity but he is nowhere seen when its him n Sai. Recently he gave IV one saying Virat cant share his DDP that he doesn’t want to do case against Sai- he was so superficial and trying to frame it in a way that he doesn’t come out pro Sai.

For example the scene like yesterday DESERVES an IV m, but he wont give it. But we see ML constantly by side of PL giving IV explaining n justifying HER POV - it ruins it.

He should either do it for both or none.

Stopped, started following after the leap, and then stopped being a regular viewer after that anniversary celebration, and I read updates more than watch (catch up an episode once in a while), so my opinion is based on my limited viewing and more of reading.

Post-leap, the creatives, I believe, were not sure how the audience would take the separation. One of the reasons why they did not take too long to make Virat and Sai meet. Children were a big attraction, but as the TRP increased and sustained, they brought the focus back on the triangle instead of playing the Chavan Vs. Sai +Savi dynamics (I wanted to see Sai+Savi combo to take on Kaku. It would have been so much fun).

How do they keep Patralekha relevant in the triangle? They had to show Virat not titling toward Sai and his emotions had to be kept ambiguous. Virat and Sai were/are the end game, but how to make it impossible in the eyes of audience. Theirs again is the journey from impossible to possible.

When Virat first met Sai, he acted as if nothing has changed and he is the same Virat who is still loyal and committed to Sai (at the time, it looked like there to more to marriage than being presented; may be the illusion of Patralekha), but as the show progressed without drop in TRP, the creatives became more bold and began to push the envelop.

There is a scene in the room, where Patralekha is making Virat wear the jacket. That scene (and body language) screamed very-much married couple. Maybe it was the actor's or the director's fault -- it was not needed and I believe plenty of such scenes were added later.

See, this is the thing I don't get. Why try to make Patralekha this important? Moreover, why take this particular route to do so. There are a thousand different ways in which Pakhi's character could still be heavily involved in main story, and Virat and Pakhi still wouldn't be married.

I simply don't understand what goes in the makers' minds. But, whatever it is, it seems to be working for two years now so, what do we know.

True,His real life affected his reel life so badly ,ruined the show.

@ bold -this !

I feel their real relationship overpowers reel .... NB overpowers virat...since they got married and did PDA for months ....some viewers can not feel reel characters in them... I can sense that in sairat scenes too... he is hesitant to sai in intimate scenes, not pp.... on screen...

I worked with my Husband for about 2 years (same company, different department)... felt he (or his ego ??🤣just like most of Indian men) was interfering my professional commitment... I was not able to do justice to my work, quitted.

The role of Virat needed a very versatile actor. Unfortunately NB is not that and to top that his real life shenanigans did not help him. Isliye it is a corporate rule that people in relationship don’t work in the same project.

But again as I always maintained from the beginning Ayesha had lots of potential and she has matured too with time. For a show to be successful everyone of the main characters needs to work. Ek se show successful nahi hota

I watched that kaira track. It was torture, but unlike this show, what made that kaira track bearable was that neither karthik had any sort of feelings or importance for vedika and you could clearly see that karthik could never love anyone but naira (I'm gonna still pretend that naira never died and sirat never existed) and you saw his love for naira even through the nasty words he said to naira because you could tell he was not saying those words to be malicious but because he actually felt hurt and frustrated by naira's actions and the situations that had lead to their separation.

In ghum land, virat always supports pakhi before sai. He always considers pakhi's feelings and happiness before sai. He always reserves more respect for pakhi before sai. Virat has always insulted sai to support pakhi. Karthik had never put any other woman before naira. Virat has far too many times said malicious and humiliating things to sai for his own ego and out of support for pakhi. That's why nobody can see this so-called love of virat's for sai.

Not even gonna lie, it seems not just the two real-life couple actors, but the actual whole production house and writers seem to intentionally favour the real life couple and create a narrative that give pakhi's character and virat-pakhi bond more importance in the show our of favour for the real life couple. It has always felt like this from start of show before the real life couple announced their relationship. So even more than actors it is writers and production who are at fault for making the characters act so illogically in a way to make everything in favour of one character. To keep pakhi at centre of story and to show her as the favourite of almost every character in this show they have written every character as morally corrupt, hypocritical and inhuman.

Virat and Patralekha's marriage is the conflict that stops Sai and Virat's reunion from happening soon. Without that, there is nothing stopping them from reuniting.
