I don't find anything wrong with the precap....

right now Ps insecurities have somewhat subdued because V rejected the job so they'll need to bring her panic mode and insecurities back up to get her to do a bigger mistake so they have to show her happy now and excited about what her future could be because in her mind V has seen her side of things her feelings

So she will misinterpret the scene in the precap as it's probably a basic scene that the kids dropped something on his shirt and he was cleaning himself up...simple

But P will mis read it and she'll find out that they are working to if she finds out on her own without V telling her it'll majorly shoot up her insecurities bur even if he tells her the damage will be done because he told her no and did it anyways

This is all making way for p to take drastic steps right now we can see the main focus seems to be P in the story

even the kids have taken a backseat so they are building her up so she'll have a greater fear and she'll do something in that fear and have a bigger fall

About character assassination, I was anticipating this for some time now. Also, Patralekha keeps saying mere patni, mere pati for scenes even when not required. That is enforcing her status as Virat's wife for the audience.

So now, she can question Virat for spending time with his ex-wife. I am expecting a lot of nasty dialogues from Patralekha
