1. Male lead character is patriarchial, self righteous, involves himself in illegal activities, bigamy, never repents any of his actions or thoughts, always thinks he is right
2. Female lead is shown to be having multiple personality disorder. She is strong enough to leave a toxic environment but gets manipulated to enter the same arena again and again despite facing mental and physical harassment from her in-law household.
3. All villains do criminal activities. Nothing ever comes out in the open. In the end the villains always win and the female lead ends up apologizing for the wrongs that were inflicted on her. In fact many many times director takes us to the point where the villain is about to be punished but they then leave the audience hanging and force the female lead to apologize and be stigmatized.
4. There seems to be a dynamic to bring the toxic hero and the villain (female) into close relationship and close contact. I may be wrong but it looks that way. Like the director is taunting the audience. Making the show more and more audacious to test the limits of the audience. I think it might be working. To a certain level, even me writing this would be a victory to the people creating the show.
5. Only reason why people care so much is beacause of the earlier dynamic observed between the two lead characters. But it was lost somewhere around the 200-300th episodes. Not sure where.
6. At this point of time if the female lead ends up with the current male lead character, that would give a terrible message to the inpressionable audience. Which is that toxicity is normal and in laws can abuse the bride as much as they want without consequence and that mental harrasment is okay and that emotional cheating is okay and that criminal activities is not punishable by law
From what I have observed no other show has crossed the level of bullshit and harrasment that this one has. I do often think , how do the actors agree to such writing? Do they not see anything wrong in the message they are sending out?
It has been so long since I wrote anything here in or since I watched the show. I saw the promo and decided to have a look at the story line - still cannot bear to watch it. Sounds like the epitome of ridiculousness. Sad it did not turn out like kusum dola. I was waiting for the confession in the forest without any audience. But we got a ridiculous get up and vomit worthy scenes. Sairat. Eewwwww. 🤮🤮🤮
Anyway, can anybody suggest if there is any contemporary show that is more toxic than this one?
