From what i know ... Memory loss doesn't work like that.

There are different parts of brain that store info and different parts store memories. Even in that aisa nahi hota ki sab bhul jao.

Depending upon where the injury is... Sometimes people lose speech/ language... Some lose memories but only a part of it. It can be triggered back.

Like they may forget face, relationships but will remember how to calculate, passwords etc.

So it all depends..

This is based on a info given by neurologist where a person I know had a blood clot in inoperable part of brain. There was a chance that the person may become mute, will forget language or complete memory loss. Any of it or all was possible. Unfortunately couldn't even survive till operation.

In Sai's case, if they do go that route, they would make it that because Saavi was a name SaiRat held close, Sai names the daughter as such and then it works in long run because V too connects with her even if Sai doesn't remember.

Sai can remember her medical knowledge and can still practice but she won't recognise V if this happens. His face might trigger her though 😉

Yes very much plausible to show selective amnesia.
