I wasn't talking about his professional qualifications but his personality. IPS in reality have many matrimonial prospects but then when did Virat behave like one?

On a personal basis, Sai Joshi like spirited and topper wouldn't have chosen a man like Virat, who is completely foolish with a toxic family...that's reality of today. Many matrimonial prospects of girls will definitely come bases on being IPS but Sai's character isn't such to go after professional stature or money.

How many girls get the opportunity to truly know their spouse or even vice versa .. most marriages in India are through arranged and fixed in 1-2 meetings

many home truths get revealed .. much much later .. many chose to walk out but many even learn to adjust .
there is no hard n fast rule which applies to everyone

Many will not want to trouble their parents. So they adjust if it's not much of an issue.

Parents also first suggest to adjust.

By then they get attached to their husbands.

In some marriages in laws have upper hand till they r old and become dependent on DIL.

Now Sai s earning and JM is redeemed. So her situation s better. Not that Virat did anything but still.

If Pakhi goes out, she can stay with parents for some years at least.

Sai doesn't have that luxury. But her situation s much better monetarily than the time she got married. And now she knows Pullu and Rajiv who can help if needed.

Yeah I understand that. But I'm only pointing out Sai as a character shown in the show. Her father as well. By herself , Sai wouldn't have chosen Virat in reality...I'm taking about the reality of persons who have the same persona as Sai/ Virat.

I'm not discussing marriages in general.

Sai had a very loving father and she herself is high spirited and refuses to bow down. Things would have been very different in reality for cases like her.

If her father was alive .. she would not have got married at that moment in her life .. maybe she would have married virat after finishing her mbbs who knows .. at a different stage in life ..

Few things in our life are predestined it happens only at the moment , birth , marriage and death ..
if you believe in janam patri .. a proper and well written one can foretell things accurately without any logical explanation.. and I have seen it happening with people …

Slightly disagree to your point.

KJ would have preferred V to other prospective grooms and Sai would been influenced to select him.

One of the reason being V is fav student of KJ. KJ loves him to the point of treating him like a son. V has a soft corner for KJ.

Beyond their professional garb, they share a loving relationship where V touches his feet and shares his laddoo with him and KJ reciprocates the same by inviting him for lunch and dinner. I wrote it in other post that till that time l, V keeps KJ on a high pedestal than Ninad.

KJ trusts him with Sai's life.. what more proof is required?

GC wala V or the V who is a police officer is brave and daring (in the initial episodes.. since we are talking about SaiRat marriage).

Sai admires that in him and in turn trusts him too. She feels safe with him even though she doesn't like him.

V doesn't know it but he feels attracted to Sai's intelligence and honesty.

If KJ had been alive and JM neutralized, KJ might have got married her to V after her studies.

Back home, I don't know how long V could have resisted BK for his marriage but if Sai was safe, there wouldn't be any conflict of Sam going away.

Ek baat pakki hai, V would have never married P even if Sam didn't marry her. He told her that but sadly the woman never got that in her brain.

V as a character is very different when he is out of CN .. in GC... He is on his own and is quite balanced and mature person.

But he is an emotional fool and is heavily influenced by people at his home. All the unshattering of his character happens because of the conflict of his marriage to Sai. Had they accepted Sai easily itna drama nahi hota. Its the tight rope that he has to walk (in initial episodes only) that unravels these layers of his character which anyone wouldn't see if everything was hunky Dory.

If Sai had been BK's choice... Then too no one would have seen this face of V.

Sometimes these behaviour spring up only in extreme scenarios. Sairats life has been about that since day one. Hence the frustration and constant irritation for both parties.

It takes years of living with a person to truly see what they are made of and how they would react to certain situations. Because this is a show everything is OTT and sudden.

P.S. not a justification of V.. but rather its not impossible to imagine SaiRat together in an alternative what if scenario.
