Well they should he forced to punish V and make him pay for his sins in their upcoming track. You cannot glorify a criminal. Period. The complaint is that the show is messaging a negative character as positive. The lens of the maker is the issue. That seems like a valid complaint. Either such character should be appropriately shown as a villain or gotten rid of . Making a hero out of a villain is not ok.

If anything V should be even more interested in case because Kadam died over it. These guys are dangerous , they shot dead a police officer so if they let Sai be alive then clearly they had an agenda and it wasnt a coincidence.

And eventually those goons are the ones who can be eyewitness for pp's crimes. She hired them. She met them in geetas neighborhood. And geeta eventually can also be requestioned to verify that pp did come to mislead her.

But will we get any of that?!

It makes no sense to show action scene and kadam dying only for them to forget about it.

If we see pattern in ghum all outsiders except P are punished. Like Sai, Rajiv, pulkit.

But P s also an outsider to the family. But she's not punished. Why because she s related to many people in personal life to makers and ML.

The makers' perception is that Virat is not a villain. They will show a few scenes and then over. Didn't they show Sai clearing Virat's image during Holi. Bas aisa hi milega.

The thing that you are calling a valid complaint may be morally correct but it does not fit in the guidelines laid by IBF. If you can find a point that you can back your complaint, then it will hold water.

Remember people had mailed when Sai was locked in the room. Kya hua uska? People who mailed got a reply saying it is a fictional show. Then they showed Samrat telling Virat that what you did comes under domestic violence. Khatam. Itna hi milega. Thode time ke liye punish but that's it. Sad!

But its not just immoral, its illegal. He is allowing crimes to happen when he as ips is watching pp fake her identity, get an illegal procedure done. He is committing a crime when he violates his wife's consent about the embryo implantation. He is commiting dereliction of duty when he allowd his wife to be abused and slapped, pushed around, verbally harrassed, name called on a daily basis.

I agree it is illegal but I am saying to file a complaint in IBF, it has to fit in the parameters laid by them. If you think, it fits in that, you can complain. You as in people in general haa. Not you-you per say. I have read it and I felt that if I send a mail against a character and the things that he has done in his personal capacity, the matter will be brushed off as 'fiction'. There will be a few changes in the way the character is portrayed, that's the only take-away but the lead character will not be wiped out or boycotted.

Thats a start. When i say file a complaint i don't expect that they will actually boycott. My expectations are realistic. This surrogacy complaint also at best may get them to make a few tweaks but they've already aired it. Its not gonna be reversed magically. Tbh I don't think any of the complaints will lead to anything but that does not mean we stop airing our opinion and raising our voice about what's ok and not ok. If we stop complaining just coz we feel that nothing will change, thats kinda sad and unfair. We are complaining to make our voice heard and not because of what they will or will not do. If they choose to get all this feedback and ignore it, thats on them. But we should do our due diligence. Just because they make ignore it, doesn't mean we should stop trying to speak up. We have nothing to lose. The show is dead. Most of us are barely watching. Only doing a post mortem.

Writing our displeasure, airing our opinion, and raising our voices is fine but if my complaint to IBF specifically doesn't fall into the parameters laid by them, my complaint will end up in the trash bin of a mailbox.

For raising voices and opinions, I have social media, forums, emails to PH and channels, and even IBF for that matter. When Virat's behaviour was rotten, there was so much hoo-ha over social media.

They have flouted enough rules/laws that it won't be such a big problem to word a complaint such that it fits into parameters. Just needs a smart person or a lawyer who can find some relevant sections of the law to make it all fancy . Ultimately nothing concrete has changed yet even by precedent from an IBF complaint vs emails vs SM hastags. But atleast an IBF complaint seems official and is filed on record as compared to emails or SM buzz.

The only thing that can shut this show or make a permanent change is if a PIL is filed and a court orders a stay on further telecast.

This is the PDF. If you see you can find something that fits the parameters, awesome!

Neerja i agree to every word of yours in this thread. A step should be taken for sure. But how ,when and where should be known clearly I feel we should do it collectively and correctly. Moreover we are only connected virtually by forum or other SM platforms .As few members have mentioned viewers have an option to turn off or change channels but the reality is the whole 99% of telly content is trash. Some where the agitation should start so why not from this show .I was a regular viewer of ghum till recently and I know it is trash not only character virat .I too want the show to be taken down .

Personlly I feel for the character Sai .Enough of wait , hammering is needed before sai is butchered to extreme lows that we cannot even identify her as she was the only reason for sustainability of this show this long to see her fierce comeback and with a hope that truth and righteousness can loose sometimes but cannot be defeated .But in this show evil prevails, rules and receives accolades and good beings are reduced to props and flag bearer of righteousness is accused and punished with full trial.
