You have some really insightful thoughts! Beautifully written!

Yes I get the sadness about the tragic incident. I think they didn’t show the fire is due to legal reasons. They have an FIR against them. Anyways let’s keep that aside!

I totally agree about everything you said… I remember those blankets we all used to say they were unwashed taken all the way to Goa and Hyderabad! It was sentimentally attached to Sairat …! Imagine what spaces can do!

Yes I am glad the last scene in that room was of Sai and Vs emotional dependence. Also Sai came back to the room it was V that she thought of first to reach for help, despite of her tall claims that she can handle gundas she emotionally is dependent on V. So glad that was the last shot in that room! She entered with the full haq seh…. Exactly what V asked for! Anyways i know it’s tragic but also that room needed to be burnt down since P tainted it. (Not literally but we know unfortunately that is the case)

Part of me also wanted to know how Vankar was going to revive Sairat room after this taintedness! Vankar would have had some plans I am sure!

The other thing I noticed is the outhouse … Vinu was the reason the outhouse was revived and he infact took that boombox there and we know the fate! So Vinu is why Sai stayed out and he is also the reason to blow that space up bring her Aai to CN!

Spaces matter, Devis room is given to Vinu .. I mentioned that the vastu of that space … Devi was traumatized and Vinu too in that room. Part of me is also glad that room is burnt too! Now Virat will have to bring the bunk bed and give the new room to his kids and finally make Sai and Savi’s wish true …. Savi living with her dada and making memories!
Savi will bring positivity to Vinu’s space!

I have to say … lot of memories in CN. I went back to watch the … tum bin bataye mujhe leh chal kahin… it was a beautifully shot across the floor! Lots of songs in Sairat room! Some beautiful memories… we all feel it!

You know what I noticed…. The last shot infront of CN that aired was of Virat infront of the steps!

Kaku yaad ayi…. Virat yeh kahani likh raha hai! It actually gave me chills yesterday I saw that wow… Virat standing infront of CN will be the last shot of the old set!

Thank you so much. ❤️

I love symbolism and my education of course makes me heavily influenced by topics such as these. The training is such that I look for these signs subconsciously even if I don't want to 😆. It was the first thing I noticed that it was Devis room, right when they showed Vinu just after leap started.

I feel the same... the kind of juncture the story is at... this is an excellent opportunity to bring in a fresh new perspective... the kids can share the room now... Sai can officially enter CN, not as wife but as mother of children ... and she wont claim rights on V... but the sheer desperation within him to have the sweets within his reach but not allowed to eat them can work towards a proper change in the story.

Tu bin bataye is my fav too.... I had not liked it when it first aired... but its my fav dream sequence from the show now. ❤️

Brought back this thread only because I could sense the loss folks felt at the real life incident. This is the connection we all had. Unfortunately for most, it took an incident such as this to identify it.

Memory and its relation to physical space.

Sorry in advance for mixing reel and real.... some aspect would be.

The unfortunate event on the Ghum sets has destroyed everything on the site. And as sad it is the overwhelming feeling was of a personal loss.

Even though none of us have visited the set, we were connected to it through the show, through the characters and through our emotions...

So much so that the loss felt disturbing and across the FD... everyone felt it.😭

This is pretty much what I meant in the original post (page 1) about our association to a physical space... a mixing of tangible and intangible... where in spite of never been physically present in that space, the absence of it hurts. Not just the overall CN but the little articles like the ugly white statue, those blue and white curtains and the Ganesha mural will be missed.

It would be a feat if some of it can be recreated. ❤️

The association of the space is sometimes so strong that in regards to the show in particular, the "SaiRat room" feels sullied post leap. P had crossed the threshold to that room multiple times earlier and had crossed ethical and moral boundaries.

But post leap and the need of the story for VP to get married apart, the room doesn't feel SaiRat enough anymore ...

Post leap, there was no physical presence of Sai in the room, all her possessions and her personal touch was eliminated. It became barren so to say and lost the touch. It didn't evoke the same feelings as it used to be for the FD. And it hurt tremendously to see P occupying the space with all the authority she was denied earlier.

It would have hurt more if down the line, Sai would have returned to the room as wife. Almost everyone agrees that it would have not worked sentimentally.

In that sense, as bad and as unfortunate it was... the burning of the set felt like a catharsis.

That the room and the house which was polluted by P's presence cannot be brought back now. Ever!!!

It is also surreal that the last scenes shot in the room were Sai and V scenes where he expressed his feelings for Sai... called out her name in his intoxication, P said the most meanest and harshest words to Sai and P in the end destroyed the material signs of her namesake relationship. The loss is an indirect Karma for P (not the actors and team).

However, I am also glad they didn't include the burning scene in the episode. It would have been traumatic to even watch.

The new settings will take time for all of us to warm up to and the team will need immense efforts to evoke the attachment for themselves and for us as audience.

But strictly from the story's POV and the crossroads it is at... creating new memories in a new space would be a good way forward. ❤️

There are new emotions to explore (Sai - V) , new attachments to develop (Sai-Vinu-Saavi-V) and new spaces to connect us to them... all at once!!!!!

Ghum ganja is real and the FD uniting and supporting the team for a show we all love so much feels beautiful. Some of the audience had gone away but they all returned back to share their feelings.

Perhaps the team can take a lesson from all this and deal with this new roadblock sensibly and positively... they are aware that the audience supports them. Use it wisely and put up some decent content. Its high time Sai and her kids get all that they deserve... legally, officially and ethically!!!!!

Credits to the team for still managing to put up decent episodes in face of such a mounting challenge. 👏👏

Amazing. A very beautiful read.. Thank you for the tag😊.

A really surreal experience it is for all of us.. It almost feels like the FD's fantasy come to life...Virat's realization in that room after the first cafe hug to the final Sairat moments of his confession to her..the symbolic act of destruction of VP marriage.. Sai, after having left in anger, entering again on a propitious occasion.. all of this just before the tragic event.. Real coinciding so exactly with reel.. it's mind-boggling strange..

The blue curtains have been there since ACP's first posting in Gadchiroli.. Those curtains are like the witness to the story of Virat and Sairat..

As you say, and as Sinmegh said, hope this gives the makers sense to deal with the story with a little more sensibility to morality and justice.

Tum bin bataye was beautiful and you are right, they used the characters within the space beautifully.

That song for me was not only Sairat's but BK's ideal family scene, Pakhi seemed relaxed and happy with Samrat. Very poignant.

What a wonderful post .. you know I have wanted the same thing ,.I had never wanted Sai to enter back that Chavan house when her status has not been cleared

The narrative was Sai was punished for taking her son away and the the thief was rewarded by getting the same baby by fluke in adoption

it was such a cruel narrative that Bappa punishes the person who is seeking the truth

I have said this in my other post but Sai entering the house with her lotus feet and then again it getting wiped off .. her status being questioned were again ridiculous and demeaning tracks .. so in a way I am amazed that the set went ablaze ..

As a Sairat fan we won’t see virat bringing Sai to the same room where he cheated on her

And it was ironic that the last moment in that space was Sai in the kitchen with virat .. and Sai in the bedroom with virat and Pakhi destroying the photos with which she had occupied the space .. it is some kind of wierd intervention cannot say more.. but you know what I feel

Wonderful post Moor❤️

I always wished that when Ssirat reunion happens, Sai and Virat should have a new room for themselves, not the old one tainted by Patralekha.

It always gave an uncomfortable feeling and a sense of betrayal when Patralekha moved around in the room with so much haq.

It seems like poetic justice that the last memories of that room was that of Sai and Virat.

As you have said, the makers understand something and make the future likeable for the audience who are supporting them and being patient all these months
