NOTE: This is not a sarcastic post but one for character.

She is shown to be that obsessed single child of her parents, who even if they have Barbie would want a local doll from market, just because someone else took the last one.

That impulsive, egoistic one who wants everything to happen according to her will, even when the situation is out of her control.

Virat, a literal stranger to her, was expected to call her. However, when he didn't it got her ego hard to get married to someone else. Again that ego hit hard when he refused to get married to her.

When Samrat was with her, she was after Virat, cursed him, asked for divorce and what not (still don't understand itni jaldi aisa kya ho gaya ki she is so devastated at his death, when she herself wanted it. Many times she wished Sammy to leave and never return, now that that happen, isko phir dikkat hai... Insaan ke rehte dikkat na rehte dikkat... Kya badla, oh wait...now sai is pregnant, to Sai wali toffee ise bhi chahiye abhi 🤦).

She has never cared and cherished about the things she had. Matlab mere paas Jo nahi hai vo kyu nahi hai, rather than being thankful about the things she had. When she had Sammy, she never cared, wish he could see his wife doing all the drama to get sympathy. 5 years and nothing happened, ab late ho gaya...Sammy ka bhi patience bohot hi tha... And now what is this mai akeli ho gayi, maa kaise banungi...there is a thing called move on, not now but in future but nahi ise sai se pehle bachcha laana hai duniya me...

This serial is a perfect example of how negative attracts negative and repels all the positivity, like this character is never happy with anything, sab kuch chahiye par nahi chahiye par chhootna bhi nahi chahiye. Her aura is so repulsive, like emitting bad vibes which radiate through the screen. Ab Virat phir se chahiye hoga, knowing that now sai and Virat are in conjugal relationship. The way she thinks, her mom's upbringing shows, everything twisted in her chotu brain which anyways she doesn't have. She can never be happy and not let others be happy too.

I still think that if makers wanted Pakhi as lead, why would they give her this kind of character and these dialogues. I mean such people and characters can be liked superficially but once you know them, who could tolerate.

PS: not being watching the show, just someone's stories, the overflow of which will crash insta soon and some forum members awesome POVs.

Pakhi’s character is written like that only...onscreen comes across as a spoilt brat. It's shallow without depth. Acting is worst n it becomes intolerable

Pakhi is an expert manipulator! I have been watching some confrontation scenes with Virat and in ZA fights. The way she twists the narrative is amazing. The pattern is that she will create some issue which is her own making, but by the end of it, she becomes the victim. The person/people involved in it will lose track of time and topic as to how it started. She makes the other person feel bad by the end of it. For the kind of IQ and EQ she has, she weaves these kind of situations quite expertly. Only Sai can figure her motives till now, but now she is also buckling under sorrow and guilt.

I dont know what kind of upbringing results in such behavior, but the extreme apathy she shows towards others feelings, even Virat, and now in the sorrow of her husband's death, I only see sociopathic behavior. It is not normal.

Virat's dialogue to her yesterday was so apt. Dont become so blind in 'anger' that you cant see other's pain. It is correct, except that she doesnt have anger but hatred which makes her apathetic to other's pain.

Meri mummy kal Pakhi ko dekhke ek dialogue maari ki she is like "Ameer maa baap ke ekdam si selfish and bigdi hui aulaat"

She is the perfect stature of sucking out happiness from anything and everything around her.

I will just reply to this part alone on a subjective basis & not w.r.t Ghum. A lead need not be a positive one, there have been shows where the lead is a complete negative character & shown reformed in the last episode or last few or death being shown as the reform. Montage still had the character picture as the lead - I don't want to mention show names & divert it.

now coming w.r.t Ghum, makers probably want to keep 2 female leads - poor story buildup, writing & acting compromised "P" character. People can't sympathize for "P" & as the actress was signed up for the show - stating her to be one of the leads, she's unable to digest/understand audience pulse. Probably makers don't want drama on the sets & keep her in the bubble, stating she's still one of the leads - which is what you can see in IV's as well. These celebs may not care about what audience say but they do read their own fellow cast & crew say.

Yes it is okay if she there as lead, more so due to some equations. If fans object they will try to justify more and try to change the story in her favour.

We are more keen on the story rather than the montage.

They could have retained Samrat and added him also.

I loved Maya more than aneri's character in Beyhadh, because it was

1. Played by Jennifer

2. It was rootable and directed much better than all the other characters of the show.

I like Jasmine's character more than Tejo's in Udaariya because:

1. It is more interesting than one dimensional always crying Tejo

2. Acting is superb...

Here the above said character lacks everything, good dialogues, acting, the journey or the depth. She just gets stuck in on infatuation, first with Virat, then with Samrat. So yeah, i perfectly understand your point, but P is not lead worthy, especially not against sai. I don't have a problem with her on being on montage especially when Virat whose character has done so many questionable things is still on it.
