Might be unpopular opinion but I liked the episode.
Watched it twice because the first viewing made me cry for Sai. Ayesha Singh... you are a ⭐️⭐️
India doesnt have an Emmy... but if it had, this performance and this episode would get you an award.
Sai ka breakdown in front of V has finally happened is the gist of the episode.
Sai performs the CPR and Rajeev awakes. V looks damn impressed. Not that he was questioning her ability but the result startles him. Nice genuine expressions. Same goes for BK, Ash, Sunny. Even Didi for a moment when she registers that Sai is indeed a good doctor.
Really like the image when Sai is looking ahead and everyone behind her is appreciating her.
In the hospital too, V is only looking at Sai and observing her. TBH I like this proud V better than the heart eyes wala V.
The first SaiRat convo in front of Bappa. V implores Bappa to fulfill Sai's wish, as he knows its as pure as they get.
She holds his hand and I wish he reacted a bit more. For a girl who was not ready to touch him during a romantic dance and is now offering comfort in the moment of crisis. Why does he always miss these small actions of hers... although it was definitely a parallel to a similar situation in Shruti track. Its Dr. Joshi who is speaking and not Sai Chavan.
Genuinely impressed and softened, the precap convo happens.
Rishte ki dor aur do logo ki taraf se jodna is a nice touch...
Although a particular line that caught my attention was the "Agar aapne ye tay kiya hota ki kuch bhi ho jaaye.. aap hamare rishte ko nahi tutne denge, jo ki ab mera bhi faisla hai.. to ye doori kab ki mit gai hoti". V registers this "jo ki ab mera bhi faisla hai". Nicely done. He should think about it, ponder over it and understand it. What more do you want to know if she wants to continue or not?
Ash - Sai ka convo is sad. Though I felt it was needed and deliberate.
Ash doesnt meet her eyes with Sai when she starts conversing. But at "mere bete ke liye kyun nahi Sai", Ash looks at Sai and then V... When Sai says "kaash main sab kuch badal pati jisse V ko takleef pahunchi hai"... Ash looks at V again.
He is standing far away and I dont know how much he can hear but is looking and observing Sai and it looks like he can hear what she is saying. Wishful thinking probably.
Ash ka "sahi waqt" dialouge is also a hint, she looks at V when she says "mujhe yakeen hai vo din jaldi aayega". As if I will forgive you when V does and concurrently looking at V and silently asking him to forgive Sai.
Ayesha made me cry at this convo. Beautifully done. I dont have enough words for her praise.
I dont like Ash ka character right now, but this convo and those glances that she threw at V made me watch the episode again. I had a feeling that Ash will turn grey towards Sai... still do.. only good thing is its not hidden from V. She is not being vile to pretend that everything is fine in front of V and horrible to Sai behind his back.
This particular convo struck me as a step towards using Ash for patchup and her redemption of sorts.
Hear me out.
She knows V is still upset at Sai, has applied for transfer and will go away from everyone. Just like Sai, she has followed every tactic of begging, crying, agreeing to his demands. But nothing seems to work. But she has also noticed that V is affected by Sai however he may deny, so she is once again using Sai to break V's resolve.
The whole conversation it seemed like extracting from Sai her regret and her apology at hurting V. Ash was asking the questions but the answers were meant for V. Sai put herself out and V heard.
I might be wrong but this is what I feel Ash is doing. She is playing with V's mind, making him rethink the transfer and his decision to leave Sai. However, twisted it is for making Sai cry... it showed V that Sai is genuinely repenting, ready to take everything on her. He wanted her apology, he got it in spades.
Raj is out of danger and the doctor praises Sai and so does everyone else. V is proud. He is impressed with Dr. Joshi again.
But then Ash ka second diatribe about how she was broken when V was in hospital. Conveniently forgetting that it was Sai who saved V's life. She wasnt in hospital and might be taken to have forgotten Sai's efforts (though she shouldnt) but atleast Sammy, Mohit or Sunny could have pointed out that it was Sai then too who saved V by getting the injection on time.
Sai's efforts are not even acknowledged. Sad state of affairs.
I was confused here. For a moment I thought V was looking at Ash but then I felt he also looked at Sai.
Are the makers trying to stress that when sahi waqt comes, only V will be the one who will take everything into consideration... Why cant they keep a single person sensible and genuine? Doesnt take much to accept the truth. Sabko Amnesia kyun dena?
The second Sairat convo is much morose and morbid.
Sai talks about forgiveness and how it affects the family and why V shouldnt wait for sahi waqt... take out time... waqt hona chahiye. Her mention of maut startles him and he is worried as to why she is so morbid right now. I had the same dreadful feeling. Sort of like a premonition. Please Vanku dont make this into another accident/kidnap for Sai. I wont be able to take it anymore.🥺
Sai talk about "naarazgi ka chashma" and how she did the same mistake not trusting him.
Sai calls herself orphan and except for the token nod which looked like "dont say such a thing" V does nothing... How can he not see her broken? I wish he atleast extended his hand if not touch 😔
"Meri galti ki saaza apne parivar walo ko mat dijiye" Why Girl? you were not at fault. Sadly it would be easier to blame her.
"Abhi aap jee nahi rahe hai... sirf saansein le rahe hai" was a rehash of V ka dialouge in the hospital when he reprimanded everyone that he is just a laash... That sounded crude then... it signified today how well SaiRat understand each other.
Verdict:
Although sad, I felt it was much needed.
Msin had made a post, when will Sai breakdown and daydreamers had mentioned yesterday that its their subconscious speaking.
Both of you were right.
Today, Sai did breakdown and I am glad it happened in front of V. Too many times, she has put up a brave cheerful front and he did not understand. She was more clearer than ever today.
As much as everyone wants to hear those three words... I feel its overrated. The conversation today was more appropriate confession and impactful than those three words can ever mean.
V listened and listened and listened... something did penetrate his thick skull and with his highly emotional state it is time he understands the meaning of the words rather than the words themselves.
While Sai may have been speaking of forgiving family, she did not associate herself with them. Mentally she has lost everyone... including V hence the reference to being an orphan. I am glad it happened. It happened when V was hospitalized but he didnt hear that. Repeating it today means the hurt runs deep.
Thats how resigned she is ... yesterday's actions looked deliberate but Rajeev ka hospitalization and Ash ka convo has probably made her rethink too. She has accepted V's hurt and his transfer and will not make anymore attempts to change his mind. Her next focus is instead of getting back with him, atleast get him back to his family. That will give him sukoon. Oh... why do you love so much Sai??😊
Precap looked like Sai may go away again... makes sense as without V there is no point in living in that house. She may even try to leave before anyone wakes up and will not involve Devi this time.
Devi might try a last ditch attempt and will not succeed but V turning to see who is it might be Devi, is my gut feeling. Sai has probably left and Devi came to tell him.
All in all, a very sad episode but necessary for Sai to move ahead.
Now, that she has said much of it, she will be calmer. This catharsis with V had to happen someday.
Can we have a reverse KD where Sai goes away and V follows her and confesses????
